  1. St John was farrr superior too. But they haven't re-inked him either.
  2. And Ackie. And, a WR.
  3. Let's say, for arguments sake, he was making $10k above league minimum. That is exactly $10k of SMS savings. No more and potentially a lot less or nothing. Not sure where this magical cap money is coming from TBurgtown.
  4. Zylstra ain't young and the clock runs out in NFL. We'll see in time. He just needs a chance and he'll catch on, I think.
  5. There's a whole lot of former CFLers down south trying to get a very few gigs. Many will be coming back to the CFL. Of course, I'm hoping that includes Zylstra, though I'm 50/50 that he'll get released this spring.
  6. And the Bombers retained the most talent prior to FA. The pretzels that people are twisting themselves into to try to prove that Walters is failing is incredible. The double speak is confounding.
  7. I've been a vocal critic of Darrin but I'm coming around. He's certainly getting better scoops. But, he comes out with this ridiculous rationale. He was pumping the Edmonton tires. And he's always trying to sell some sort of idea. He still has a long way to go.

I got a lot of WCW stuff in the late 80s living in Saskatchewan. It was syndicated and I think I got it through USA Network (although that was a WWF partner, so I'm probably incorrect). Before that, I relied on Saturday Night's Main Event for best-vs-best wrestling, as Superstars was good-vs-jobber. With the Steiner Bros, Sting, Midnight Express, the Four Horseman, etc, etc, etc, etc., it was fantastic wrestling. (I'm not sure why the tag teams are the ones that immediately come to mind)

Highly recommend the @IAmJericho podcast with @TonyKhan, the CEO of the new AEW. What an incredible feeling to have someone that bleeds wrestling fandom (back to the ECW days) help fund a company like this. — Greg Wyshynski (@wyshynski) February 14, 2019 Talk Is Jericho
  10. Maybe, but I bet it has more to do with Walters not willing to pay Walker $280k, Posey $200k, etc.
  11. Barr has received Senate approval, so he'll be in there very soon to end this witch hunt. All these indictments and plea deals are just signs that Trump is clear of any wrongdoing. I mean, how can a person so incompetent collude with a foreign power?
  12. That's why the play the games. I would say that it's going to be interesting but I'm not sure I can say that about the East.
  13. The #Bombers haven't been having much luck with receivers. There was some interest in DeVier Posey, but the money didn't align. Sources out East tell me Posey got the $200,000 he was looking for from Montreal, which was clearly too steep for the other teams making a bid. — Jeff Hamilton (@jeffkhamilton) February 14, 2019
  14. Harris. Big FA signing. Burris. Big FA signing. Jennings. Big deal...
  15. Im done recruiting now. Back to work I need to make sure I make this roster of 7 RBs!!!😂#getWILDER — James Wilder Jr (@IAm_Wilder32) February 14, 2019
  16. I'm curious, why do you think Ottawa is a lock? At this point, IMO, it's a coin-flip with Toronto.
  17. Hearing that WR Derel Walker has agreed to join the @TorontoArgos. #argos #CFL — David William Naylor (@TSNDaveNaylor) February 14, 2019 Per sources, Derel Walker left Toronto with an offer of more than $280K. Plenty of interest still out there, but it's hard to think any other teams - WPG and SSK -- will be able to meet that price. Some believe it's only a matter of time before he accepts Argos deal. — Jeff Hamilton (@jeffkhamilton) February 14, 2019 That's a whole lot of money.
  18. Yeah, I'm not sure the Bombers love the dog-and-pony show but do it to appease the FA. Toronto probably pressed Walker to come to try the hard sell.
  19. If they could lock him up long term, that would make it worth it. Short term, could be too pricey. But, man-on-man, it would be great to get a two-way forward, leader like him. He would fit like a glove on this team.
  20. He's 27 years old.
  21. When that list is complete, Edmonton will look a lot weaker. It doesn't include retirements and NFL departures.
  22. Let's say it's down to 2, Winnipeg and Toronto. (Ottawa and Sask could be options but Ottawa wouldn't even talk to Ellingson until the last minute so....) Toronto - they're likely chasing one of two playoff spots out of the East. Hamilton, right now, has one of those locked. Can Toronto beat out Ottawa and Montreal (heehee) for the last? Very possible. 1 year deal, though and potentially risky if you don't get the QBing to get you the ball. Winnipeg - almost certainly the favourite in the West, depending on what Calgary unearths for replacements. If nothing else, they should be a lock for the playoffs. 2-year deal? How much is playoffs and that paycheque worth?
  23. Must be heavily leaning towards TO. I'm not sure what he's considering at this point. Everyone has their offers on the table. He has all the info he needs.
  24. So, everything is normal.
  25. Derel Walker leaves Toronto without signing Argos deal via J. Dunk, 3 Down Nation Star free agent receiver Derel Walker has left Toronto without signing a contract with the Argonauts, choosing to fly home and discuss the decision with family in Texas. I didn't expect him to sign last night but, if they wowed him, it could have happened. I guess Lin-sanity wasn't enough?
