I have a Chromecast audio and it's great for what I use it for. Too bad they're discontinuing it. I have seen them regularly on sale for $20 and have been for the past two months.

The disappeared: Chicago police detain Americans at abuse-laden 'black site' https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/feb/24/chicago-police-detain-americans-black-site

I'm not sure he has any team insiders but I'm certain he talks to other journalists. And journalists love to talk and speculate. And journalists love to repeat things they hear from teams and agents, like Kurt Over-charge, to build up speculation. Lawless used do this tons. Sure he had tons of insider information but he also created a lot of rumours by spreading info fed to him by teams and agents. If they wanted it out there, to be speculated on and to send a message to the other side, they spoke with Lawless. Sometimes it came to fruition but lots of times it just remained talk. EDIT: But in this case, everyone at TSN loves stroking the Almighty Leafs. Who would possibly walk away from the greatest team on the planet??

Frankly, with all the convictions and all the tell-all books that are coming, we don't need the report.

I'm not sure how his supporters will square this. They've been foaming at the mouth for more than two years repeating that Mexico will pay. But now, what will they say? They need Fox to provide them a new line.

My concern about the public testimony is that it circumvents the Mueller investigation. I know Mueller knows all this information (and we do too) but it puts it out there allowing time for the public to become comfortable with the allegations. Unless there is something "new", then why not just let Mueller continue. Presumably, he must be close? Everyone's is jail now or has been indicted or plead guilty. The only ones left are named "Trump" and I expect those to come down very soon.

A reminder of the compensation due if you sign someone with an offer sheet: Offer Sheet (AAV)Compensation $1,339,575 or below None Over $1,339,575 to $2,029,59 3rd Over $2,029,59 to $4,059,322 2nd Over $4,059,322 to $6,088,980 1st, 3rd Over $6,088,980 to $8,118,641 1st, 2nd, 3rd Over $8,118,641 to $10,148,302(2) 1st, 2nd, 3rd Over $10,148,302(4) 1st EDIT: You also need to have those picks available, so that rules out some teams. You're looking at 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and possibly 2 x 1st, 2nd, 3rd for Trouba. But, I doubt he signs an offer sheet. More likely a sign and trade with a team, so he can get 8 years.

Only 29?? I was thinking he was 32 or 33. Geez, for sure if he wants to come back, for a similar pay, you do it. I would even put up a bunch as a signing bonus (when they're "allowed") or roster bonus so he feels more secure.

Speaking of doubling down on stupid, how will Fox spin this: Trump says he ‘never said’ Mexico would pay for the wall. But he did – a lot https://globalnews.ca/news/4833557/trump-mexico-border-wall-write-a-cheque/ ... “I said they were going to pay for it — and they are. They are paying for it with the incredible deal we made called the USMCA.” In fact, in October 2016, during the height of the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump released a document called “Donald Trump’s Contract with the American Voter,” in which he said Mexico would “reimburse” the U.S. for the “full cost of the wall.” In a separate plan presented to the Washington Post during the campaign, he suggested he would cut off access for Mexican immigrants who send money home to their families until Mexico made a “one-time payment” of billions of dollars for the wall. (The plan was regarded as likely illegal, the Washington Post reported.) ...

McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader, said they wouldn't even consider bringing the bill to the Senate that was just passed last week in Congress, couldn't support it, even though the Senate just passed the same bill RIGHT BEFORE XMAS! The GOP is doubling down on stupid, if that's possible.

The issue is the binding arbitration and what the arbiter considers as part of the negotiations. It's wacky. Doesn't matter what anyone says, the arbitration rights are secured.
-
Binding arbitration has caused the police/fire salaries to rise at an unsustainable rate. They get pay increases, contract to contract, without any bench marking against cost of living. It's completely ridiculous. If you even have a chance to listen to the chief negotiator for the city, a former union negotiator, he has quite the presentation with statistics and projections.

They can override the veto if they get 2/3 support in both Chambers. No way the GOP does that. Reference: override of a veto - The process by which each chamber of Congress votes on a bill vetoed by the President. To pass a bill over the president's objections requires a two-thirds vote in each Chamber. Historically, Congress has overridden fewer than ten percent of all presidential vetoes. https://www.senate.gov/reference/glossary_term/override_of_a_veto.htm

But did he play $150k well? I'm not so sure that he can attain the 2017 level again. We'll miss his presence in the dressing room, I believe, but I think we have some new leaders emerging. Bighill would go a long way to improving our leadership.

Poor Conchita, her heart will be broken.

John Hodge reports that Randle was making ~$150k/year. https://3downnation.com/2019/01/09/what-chris-randles-release-means-for-the-bombers/ I guess it makes sense to free up cap space and try to find someone for less. But it still sucks. A sad day in Bomberland.

Insider was probably K. Walters. No, too obvious. How about Kyle W.? No, no, it was KW...

Do you know how big their caravans are? Dodge only makes an 8-seater Caravan. The Caravan them illegals had carried thousands of them!

On pace for almost 50 goals. Underperforming. 🤣 If he's underperforming and gets close to 50 goals, why on Earth would the Jets trade him?
-
If he's not going to declare a state of emergency, what was the point of that address? That was a whole lot of nothing that is easily debunked. His supporters are already foaming at the mouth for "illegals" (AKA brown people), so what did it accomplish?
-
No way he does. He's got 9 minutes and no one on his team wanted him to do it. He only goes off script when he'll get a reaction from the crowd. No crowd tonight. It's probably going to sound quite "presidential" and normal and, although dubious, he'll lay out his rationale for calling it a crisis. Then he'll meltdown on Twitter in the morning and undo everything...
