An interesting breakdown of what is going on down south: The noose is tightening': 5 takeaways from Michael Cohen's plea deal — and what it means for Trump https://www.cbc.ca/news/thenational/michael-cohen-plea-deal-trump-takeaways-1.4926513 I love that Mueller is so meticulous, weaving everything together. Trumpers continue to cry foul but even neutrals must see how the everything is unraveling.

I believe so; however, it may be written into Lapo's contract that compensation is not required. I seem to remember (or, possibly, I'm making it up) that Lapo can leave for a HC gig, if offered. I wonder how if his contract would be structured in a way that would make it less of an obstruction for a new team to hire him?

For your viewing pleasure. Found it on Reddit.

Justin took care of the oil tycoons? Wow.

I skipped it. I was near the stadium with my son but, after his soccer, he didn't feel like going, so we didn't. I have to admit, I was kind of happy to skip it too. Glad I didn't miss much.

The poorly written part of the sentence? No wait, the entire sentence is poorly written...

You couldn't get this script made in Hollywood. No one would watch a movie about a stupid President, surrounded by stupid people, doing stupid, illegal things. Unwatchable. Unless Leslie Nielsen was the President and Inspector Clouseau was the investigator.

Now that Trump has declared journalists the enemy and has condoned the murder of a journalist, Duterte, who Trump has praised, has moved on his critics: https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/29/asia/maria-ressa-rappler-intl/index.html Philippines news website Rappler and its chief executive have been indicted on tax evasion charges, the latest in a case that free speech and civil liberties advocates have warned is part of a wider crackdown on dissent by President Rodrigo Duterte's administration. The war on journalism continues and is being pushed by the US.

Can't let Durant get away.

Sure, but I don't think the CFL is wading into the some of historical inequities that our country has had. We can certainly see a lot of Canada in the CFL but I wouldn't heap all of the social issues onto the CFL. It's sport. Sport, along with the Arts, has a special way of reflecting the good and bad of our society.

Diversity of the CFL. The CFL is not speaking for the country.

I want the defense to buy into D. They're all over the place and look confused. They lack organization.

No connections to Russia! No collusion! Witch hunt! Never went through with a deal with the Russians! Collusion is not a crime! How does asylum in Argentina work?

Is it time to move another prospect and picks?

Yes, I phrased that poorly. The Jets remind me of how TO were playing. They're a hot-mess right now. Thank god they've got some kids that can shoot. The Jets look bad right now. Getting wins, so hopefully they can figure it out before too long.

Reminds me of TO right now. All O - No D. And we all know how important the D is, right ?

They were not even going to get a new stadium out of the deal. In fact, voting "no", may be good news in getting a stadium built. Who would given them money to build a stadium when they're pouring billions into the Games?

The game is facing pressure for a whole lot of reasons. One is that they seem to be losing youth in this country and they don't seem to be growing the audience to new immigrants. That's not to say that minorities are not playing, they just don't seem to be watching. The DIS campaign was to help reach out to those communities, highlighting how diverse the league is and has been. I don't understand your criticism that the CFL is not diverse, so it shouldn't be patting itself on the back? It is, in fact, diverse and is over represented by minorities. But, at the same time, is not growing the minority audience. An odd juxtaposition, for sure. But, it's an advertising campaign meant to advertise the league.

Right but how much more would Gray make than Hardrick, if he were a starting tackle? Would it be worth starting an extra Canadian lineman, if it meant get flexibility somewhere else or would it be too much more. Maybe it's a wash.

Laine? Hasn't even scored his fourth hat trick this month yet. Getting lazy.

Hat Trick for Ehlers!

Golden Girls was a very popular show.

Was there an issue with his dirt track racing too? The Bombers didn't want him to race? I might be confusing this.

Let's not forget, an area that the CFL knows that it struggles with in terms of marketing and ticket sales, is with first and second generation Canadians. Highlighting the diverse background of the CFL players is part of an overall marketing campaign to grow the brand. But as @Jpan85 said, the timing was changed due to outside factors.

There is a strong contingent here who want to hand the keys to Streveler right now. I think that's crazy. He's got the tools but he needs to develop. Nichols may not be spectacular but he wins games now. I have no problems with him relying on Harris to carry and catch out of the backfield. When Harris is involved, we tend to do better. If Streveler is our best QB in camp or anytime during the season next year, then he should start. But, let's not project our hopes onto the reality that is Streveler today. What happened to the offense we saw in Saskatchewan? It worked, moving the ball around, changing the looks and getting Stev involved. It seemed to be completely abandoned in Calgary. I think that was game planning and not necessarily on Nichols' limitations. I think we're going to have a new OC and therefore a new scheme.
