The OAG wouldn't let them write it off if they thought they could collect. There's no money for maintenance and repairs, that's why they've been required to write it off. That money will be needed elsewhere.

Okay, here's what I'm thinking... The Bombers manage the stadium but have zero means in which to pay for the necessary capital investments and repairs. Triple B, which is actually responsible for the stadium, has zero means to pay for capital investments and repairs. The new agreement, going forward, will be that the Bombers will be responsible, as managers of the stadium, to make all necessary investments and repairs, in lieu of their mortgage payments. They'll need a plan and the cash flow to do so. That plan does not currently exist. This is nothing but a win for all three partners on this deal (Triple B - Bombers, CoW, and the UofM). The taxpayers? Well, that's another debate that I think has already happened and political price has been paid.

I blocked the other guy, so I didn't see his post but I'm kind of in agreement. I think that most of the claims are beyond the statute of limitations, so an FBI investigation is unnecessary. That being said, if the GOP thinks Kav is still worth putting on the bench, then yes, the FBI should collect as much evidence as possible to inform. Of course, there is enough evidence already to disqualify Kav. He should pull his name. GOP should not need anything further. At this point though, a confession by Kav of wrongdoing would not be enough to stop them from pushing this through. The civil suits will be interesting.

I haven't heard one reason to support Trump, from a Trump supporter, that is anything but "owning Libs", "but Clinton", and "but the economy". And the economy is rolling, thanks to Obama and Trump's tax cuts, but there is no evidence that it's sustainable due to mounting debt at mid-late '00s levels and inflation due to incoherent trade policies. The fact that white nationalism is on the rise and being promoted from the WH is enough for anyone. The overwhelming evidence that Russia interfered with the election to get Trump elected and the following inaction to prevent them from interfering again. The demonizing of Canada and Europe, while praising dictators like Putin, Kim, Duterte, etc is unconscionable. Everything people warned about has happened or is happening. And, lastly, the constant interference in the Mueller investigation, which continues to get indictment after indictment, plea after plea, is enough to show you what type of person Trump is. He's a coward and bully. And history will show the level of corruption he and his administration have been involved in. No, I'm done with 'Murica and anyone who says, "whatabout..."

McConnell has already said that they're going to confirm Kav. It's a done deal. The fact that the President is a sexual predator, which they seem absolutely fine with, probably means that the GOP just doesn't care. And the electorate has already proven to be stupid.

If true, very odd that Rosenstein would resign to Kelly. That makes no sense. Also, if true, I wonder if Rosenstein let Mueller know ahead of time in order let him get things in place to bring down indictments immediately. Of course, we don't know how many more indictments he already has.

White Star Diner was great on Albert but it's a bit of trek for the P&M crowd now that it's on Kennedy. There are lots of great food choices down there, so I'm not sure how it will do. I'm not down there anymore but I definitely would have gone for breakfast, red velvet cake or the occasional nip.
