That was a good one but I preferred the Jackknife Powerbomb... if we're talking Wolfpack.
  2. I watched Hip Hop Evolution on Netflix recently. It's a four part documentary hosted by Shad, the former host of CBC's q. It traces the origins of Hip Hop right through to the Gangster Rap era. It was very good. A lot of stories I know but the way it was pieced together was great. Really put the rise of the entire genre into perspective. The interviews were awesome. Even if you're not a Hip Hop fan, it is an interesting story.

NWA Sting was my favorite Sting. I never really got into the "Crow" Sting but liked the story-lines where he was sneaking in and attacking the NWO.

Agreed. Even though I thought highly of DDP, I always saw him as a USA Champion sort of guy and not a world champion, even though he had a good run near the top. Totally perception.

And, as a bonus, it allowed for a huge reaction (bounce) from the receiver. The stunner was deadly finishing move.
  6. Imagine the Jets claiming him? That would be something else...
  7. I don't understand the "or". It's not true but someone did say it.
  8. I would say that's a good strategy for both celebratory and sorrowful reasons. Be prepared!
  9. Halftime, I guess. I do have troubles with running him out there when he's obviously injured (the knee brace) but I'm not sure what the options are? Streveler has looked fine at times but is not ready to start regularly.
  10. That's disturbing and funny at the same time. What were they thinking?
  11. That was at his lowest, when he was making poor decisions, forcing plays. That's on Nichols - 100%. But what led to his poor decision making, etc. - Was it the receivers inability to make plays? Or, his injuries? Or whatever...

That was a time when Big Poppa Pump was the true freak of nature. That was a crazy time for drugs in wrestling. I don't doubt that there are still plenty of steroids going around but they're probably far more educated about what they're putting in their bodies.
  13. I think it's been widely agreed on this board that receivers are not making plays. If they were, things may be a bit different. We're not looking at the same Nichols as we were a year ago. He's obviously injured, as indicated by the huge knee brace he's wearing and he's forcing throws, making bad decisions. If his receivers were making plays and catching the ball, his confidence might turn around too. We'll see.

I couldn't find a good video of a classic Stinger Splash, when Sting could get wayyyy up in the air like back in the NWA days.
  15. I have said repeatedly that Nichols has been terrible and that I want to see Streveler get more reps. I'm not sure what's wrong with Nichols and why his decision making has gone out the window. Maybe he's injured and maybe he's just trying to press it but it's probably a combination of both. That being said, saying that if he doesn't hit this mark, then it's a failure is ridiculous and confirms that you and your ilk are more concerned with stats than wins. You'll do and say anything to further your agenda. Peace and out.
  16. Really, that's what Streveler did in Week 2 against Montreal. I want the Bombers to win. You want players to achieve certain marks. That is what's really twisted around here.
  17. It's always great to see fans enjoying when the team loses.
  18. So, if the Nichols goes 22 for 28, throws 3 TDs, and the team wins by 46 points, it will be a failure? What bizarre thinking.
  19. True enough and I should have written my response to reflect the more broad group of MOS and Nichols haters. Didn't intend to suggest you did that. I apologize.

Sweet Chin Music is one of my favorite finishing moves of all time. Simple and looks great. It didn't require too much build up (except the foot stomp bit). Also, the Stinger Splash. Not exactly Sting's finishing move but I loved when he did it back in the NWA, then WCW, days. A question for all: What are your favorite finishing or "signature" moves?
  21. Exactly the response I expect. If we win, it won't matter around here. "It's just Montreal, so it changes nothing" Then we'll get another week of BS about MOS being an *expletive* and Nichols being the worst QB in the league.
  22. They did, to the Browns. The Cleveland Browns. 😮 It been almost two years since the Browns won.
  23. So, you think BC is going to win 4 more games (out of 7) and either Montreal or Toronto will win 5 more (out of 6 and 7 respectively)? I don't see that happening. I think the Bombers could crossover with a 8-10 record, which means BC gets 3 wins and Toronto and Montreal getting a maximum of 4 wins. I'm not hoping for a 8-10 season, by any means. I want them to win the next 6. But as they say, Cs get degrees! And once you're in, anyone can win.
  24. Not when you get up near the top. Big money. I think the TV-Radio thing also helped bump the salary.

I just wonder, after all this time without a decent, relevant fight, if Jones carries the cache he used to. Brock stays in the public eye due to his participation in the WWE. He also is far more of a crossover star, who may be recognizable to those who do not follow UFC or WWE. Does Jones mean anything outside the UFC? Did he gain much crossover attention? If Jones can fight at a high level again, those would be an interesting series of fights. It's a shame that Jones is even allowed to fight again, at least so soon.
