That would be interesting. I wonder if I could get my friends out for that?
  2. Fair enough. I agree that the PH at the Forks is the worst. Time it right and you can get good service and good food there. But if not, the service and food is poor. My boys love it there and we've been to the Forks, Polo, Pembina, and McG several times over the past year.
  3. I have to say, the Pancake House does breakfast really well. Yes, it's only a slight bit better than a greasy spoon but it is delicious. OSF is terrible and I've never tried Beachcomber.
  4. Wanna-be troll.
  5. Thinking past the midterms and how long Trump can hold out I wonder how this will impact the 2020 election? Normally, there would only be a fringe challenge to a sitting president's nomination as the presidential candidate. Someone who goes against the party to challenge the incumbent. I would think that there will a whole host of legitimate GOP candidates who are ready to challenge Trump for the presidential nomination this time. That being said, they need to work now to start building support and a network. Yes, they can come into the race later but without a coordinated team, there are plenty of risks. Will they have the time to do this if Trump hangs on for another year plus? How quickly can Pence get a campaign together? Is he too close to Trump? How fractured will the GOP be? Hooboy, what an interesting (yet terrifying) time in US politics.
  6. Vanilla Ice was on this flight.
  7. Off topic: Were you on the U of M campus selling donuts and lemonade over the past couple of days?
  8. There's an old meme about the Sinbad genie movie that people swear exists but never did. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/sinbad-movie-shazaam/
  9. Sounds like Chung is on a maintenance day.
  10. Reported! Code of Conduct3. Use of foul language and profanity will not be tolerated; the partial masking of such words (such as asterisks or punctuation marks) will be treated as if the actual word or words had been used. This also applies to off-site links - if it would not be acceptable in the MorningBigBlue forums then a direct link to the material is equally unacceptable.
  11. Four time Stanley Cup champion. What a legend.
  12. I disagree. I think it's about trying to appease everyone. A solution born by politicians and not experts. Experts would have told you to change the speed to 30KM/h all the time. Heck, experts would have said to change all the residential streets to 30Km/h (or 40KM/h). But politicians don't want to face upset people, so they decide to go half way. Just during school hours (+2 hours on each end) and not on weekends. Everyone is happy (ha!). So instead of having a consistent, expert supported, policy, they have this wishy-washy policy where people need to check their clocks and remember what day of the week it is.
  13. We use a more derogatory term for "Riders". We class it up on "We Hate the Riders Day" (aka Banjo Bowl).
  14. Imagine if the Jets let Wheeler walk next year? The meltdown this city would have had would have been epic. I have not seen a single expert decry this deal. Only a select few on the interweb forums.
  15. I agree with your theory (Wheeler will attract others) but who are we trying to sign over the next few years? I wonder how many FAs we'll try to attract and for what position? We're obviously not going after any big name FAs. Our best hope is that we can unload bigger contracts like Little and Perreault and picks/prospects to refresh the farm. The next couple of years will be interesting on and off the ice.
  16. I agree wholeheartedly. Leave it at 30KM/h year-round, day or night.
  17. Escrow is the big one for the players but I'm not sure how they can get away from the current formula. I think the owners push to move the 50-50 balance. They're going to try to get more revenue excluded, which moves the line. 50-50 will stay but the players will not get a piece of everything they were getting before. Imagine another lockout. SMH.
  18. I'm not sure about it going up. Likely the NHL opts out next year (Sept 1), which means the deal is up in 2020. I think they want to push the cap down by adjusting the ratio.
  19. That's really terrible. I agree with everything you've said about the off-the-field product with the exception of the Chalk Talk w/MOS. But, that was planned a long time ago and really should be a standing thing anyhow. Good for you.
  20. Call it whatever you want. When I lived in Vancouver, I spoke to very few people who cared about the CFL and even fewer who followed anything but the Lions.
  21. Why bother even playing the games?!
  22. Riders have the season series? Edmonton have the season series? Did I sleep through 3 games?
  23. He's 32 this year but will be 33 when this contract starts. And they're not signing everyone. I think this makes sense for this current team. You get a small window, where everything aligns, where you can run for the cup. Jets have the next two, maybe three years, to make their run. You have to keep Wheeler through that time and could not afford to lose him. I guess you underpay for the next three years (last year of current deal, then the first two of the new deal) and then just take your chances. I think they had to do, even if the term hurts them at the end.
  24. No, he has not. He's thrown 2 TDs 4 times this season.
  25. True, Myers is off the books after this year. Still need to replace him but with a lower AAV player. Need to find a home for Perreault. If you haven't done it already, likely won't happen until the next off-season.
