  1. I fully expect Lapo to be in BC next year. Sadly. I'm now even more worried he'll take a QB with him.
  2. The Board of Directors should have zero say in who the coaches are. They put the CEO in place and that is all.
  3. Although it's Forbes... https://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbadenhausen/2017/07/12/full-list-the-worlds-50-most-valuable-sports-teams-2017/ 1. Dallas Cowboys, $4.2 billion, 5% (NFL) 2. Minnesota Vikings, $2.2 billion, 38% (NFL) 30. Boston Celtics, $2.2 billion, 5% (NBA) There are 5 NBA teams in the top 30 most valuable sport franchises. No NHL in top 50.
  4. Another thought... This was a another chance to hype the CFL and engage with fans during the offseason. Another opportunity missed. I'm a diehard and I certainly miss the coverage but for many casual fans, out-of-sight-out-of-mind.
  5. For a 6th round pick, maybe. I'm not sure if Chiarelli is the worst GM in the league but he's got to be up there. Most Canadian teams are saddled with terrible GMs. Vancouver, Edmonton, Ottawa, Montreal. Calgary? Toronto TBD. Winnipeg one of the best (me love you long time Mr Chevy).
  6. Harris. 33.
  7. Carter: Oxygen in his bag? Hold my beer...
  8. It's going to be a tie. It's always a tie with these teams.
  9. And that's a career. A real shame.
  10. I was referring strictly to head coach and GM but you're probably right. Interesting, with all those bodies, they still have the fewest teeth.
  11. Funny, because I'm guessing Toronto has the most expensive GM/Coach combo.
  12. I know but it was a mutual decision done outside the normal terms of the CBA. If anything, I would have expected this to be used as a bargaining piece. Maybe it was a goodwill gesture, which do occur within a collective agreement.
  13. Seems like a bizarre move, removing opportunities to see new players and get them acclimatized to the CFL game. I thought it was win-win.
  14. Tag this for later: Westworld Season 2 Finale
  15. My brain hurt too. Didn't know about the closing credits. I'll watch the closing during my lunch, thanks. Watched them
  16. And they need to be replaced. That can be done through the farm system but you're not saving the full $4-5 Million.
  17. Except, of course, that awards are based on regular season play but you know...
  18. I think Myers is the guy. He was nice insurance this year as a 3rd pairing defenceman but now's the time to move on. For the Jets two years ago, when the cap didn't matter and budget did, he was a great bargain but now he's hogging up cap space.
  19. Heath getting victimized. Where have I seen that before?
  20. I would prefer they don't pull their Willy.
  21. I picked the Ti-Cats. That will ensure a Esks victory. Sorry.
  22. How much do the Riders need to pay the RedBlacks for the return of Carter? When you own someone that bad, can simply offer a cash settlement for their return?
  23. I'm surprised it didn't do better. Although, it felt as though it kind of "snuck up" this year. I would have preferred a Xmas time release. And, the negativity right from the start helped to kill it too. I know it doesn't fit into the regular timeline but it's the backstory to one of, if not, the most popular characters. It was a bad movie, so it makes sense it didn't do well. I'm disappointed that we won't see more origin films, like "Lando: This is Coruscant".
  24. Harris
