I turn the radio off when 1290 has him on. And, I let them know it too. He doesn't provide any insight or value to the conversation. There are quality, thoughtful Rider reporters and he's not one of them.
-
Sometimes mid-season too. And, sometimes, refs will change the rules arbitrarily throughout the game. What's PI in the first quarter may not be in the fourth quarter. Keeps everyone on their toes.

I think it discourages throws to the sidelines. If I'm a DB, I don't risk an interference call, I just come in late and push the receiver out before he lands. I don't care for this change.
-
He's played both positions. He's been good at wing and can step in when needed.
-
I just don't see that happening. I bet he played video games in his room with Laine the night before the game.
-
I don't. I can't think of what he would have done to deserve a healthy scratch?
-
Didn't have to re-sign anyone. No cap issues.

And, all relatively recent.

I'm not taking Enstrom out for Kulikov who hasn't played in two months.

I'm on Team Chevy here. McPhee was given a list of players to choose from and handed some really key players. He hasn't built anything. Chevy has slowly, meticulously, built a team, drafting players that fit in Winnipeg. A couple of trades and very few FAs.

Westworld Season 2

Let's not forget Buycky and some of the bottom 6 players that they'll be keen to keep, like Lowry.

Kurt Overcharge.

Yes, you do. That's exactly what you do, if he's a back up and causing trouble. And, no, it becomes obvious really quickly. The problem is people are willing to put up with the cancer for a period of time, with the hopes that the benefits will outweigh the negatives. Not in a back-up it won't. That's why people put up with Carter.

He was signed to hold a clipboard. If he even looked at anyone the wrong way, they would have turfed him. The team was pretty tight last year and I expect that to carry forward.

Round 3 - Game 2: Golden Knights at Jets
JCon replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
I disagree. The Jets played defensively and controlled the game. The forecheck was successful, all the quality chances were the Jets, and the GKs couldn't get any pressure. It was pretty dominant. -
No, that's not what I'm saying. I think players need better protection and would like to move towards a certain guarantee on each agreement but Durant retired. I think the team should be provided some protection on bonuses over paying a player who retires.
-
Players get cut all the time before their bonuses are due. BUT that's before they play the game or deliver their service. They have not put their bodies in harms way or performed for the team. No pay but no work. Collecting your bonus, then retiring means you collected for a service you didn't provide. Durant was prepaid for a service, like a deposit, and didn't deliver. If the team had cut him, I have no problems him keeping the money but that's not what happened.

Round 3 - Game 2: Golden Knights at Jets
JCon replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
I loved GK twitter after game one. Lots of comments about how good the GKs looked and it was only the refs that held them back. I'm assuming the people that watched the game sober just stayed quiet. Imagine what will happen when the Jets actually get going? -
But, from what I've heard, he has a pretty good hockey mind, as well. He knows the game. That being said, he will be responsible for negotiating those next contracts and trying to find some defence. He and Chiarelli have something in common there.

Round 3 : Game 1 - Knights of the Roulette Table
JCon replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Yes but capacity won't be much different. -
Law & Order SVU. Season 20. Wow. Never cared for that show but loved the original. Ah, Lennie.
-
Who dumped him. And, who's fans wanted him out.
-
Trade for Manziel? (Kidding) Seriously, Durant is an ***.

Praising a brutal dictator is not diplomacy. He's done so with Duterte, as well. I would love to see this president call out the dictators rather than revere them. And, I probably missed it, who was lavishing KJU with praise?
