  1. Wasn't he a kicker until the last year?
  2. Not saying they do. We have two that are better. Myers is questionable. Hamonic's contract is great. When you consider future Jets contracts, there's value in that. We don't know what Trouba's long-term plans are. The Jets may know more this summer, when the window opens for extensions. If Trouba is not willing to discuss an extension, then maybe you need to get ready for a time when he's not a Jet.
  3. I just looked it up, for curiosity sake. 1.63 in 2016/17 1.44 in 2015/16
  4. Hard to see him at 6'4". Sort of blends in. This group of "journalists" has been watching the Bombers for a month now. If something in my fridge is in a different spot, I know. How do you miss a new player on a cut down roster, with a bunch of players resting??
  5. Don't worry, they addressed their OL in the draft.
  6. Enstrom is far less valuable now to VGK.
  7. McCrimmon attended 30 Jets games this year. If McPhee asks Lawless anything but where to eat while in Winnipeg, then VGK is doomed! (But Gary will say, Enstrom. He can be flipped for a prospect or pick equal to Dano.)
  8. But do the Jets have a scorer that they can part with? No one established like those mentioned. Eberle, Duchene.
  9. If Harris is in at receiver, he'll draw so much attention. Anytime he moves, he would have to draw attention. That would free up a handoff to Flanders or some sort of play action. So many things open up when you have skilled runners like Harris and Flanders both on the field. Can't do it all the time but you can throw it in when the d is already a bit tired and weary. Then, watch them make mistakes and leave someone open for a big gain.
  10. I've said it before and I'll say it again.... Once you waive your NMC, it's gone. You can negotiate with the new team to add again and do negotiate it before waiving your first NMC. It's it essentially replacing the old one, not carrying it forward. Bogo is an example. He waived to go to Buffalo and it was never added back.
  11. You can now get poutine as part of a combo but it does not include and extra side of fries, which other combos do. I think you just get the poutine and a drink. Patron in front of me at the concession stand to the staff: Who orders poutine without french fires? What, you just get cheese and gravy? The staff were confused and didn't follow what he was saying. I had explain to him that the poutine had fries but you didn't get an extra side of fries, like you do with other combos. I thought it was obvious.
  12. Just to protect Glenn (or whoever is in there), they better learn to run. And, with that aging, often unhealthy oline, they better learn run FAST!
  13. Interesting. Now that I have MLB TV for the rest of the year, I would like to cut the cord with TSN/Sportsnet until October/November but can't due to the CFL.
  14. Defending Grey Cup champion, at home to start the season, and only one person (out of 34, so far) is picking them to win. Very interesting.
  15. Only on the scoreboard, which is a statistic.
  16. You get more for Enstrom at the deadline. He's worth more than Dano.
  17. He had 22 years to get to 1000 points.
  18. I love watching the d because it's fun to cheer and be loud the whole time. MLB is one of my favorite positions to watch, along with the DEs. It can make tackles off the run, off the pass, etc. It can move forward on blitzes and drop back for interceptions. I want a stud LB core because it's fun as a fan to watch. But what's more fun? Winning. If Hurl is the guy because it means $$ is freed up elsewhere, then so be it. Just win, baby, and I'll have fun.
  19. Agreed. Plus, they use the high percentage plays to create better opportunities downfield. When it's there, they go for it.
  20. Let's say, Chris Williams. I thought Willams was back. In his place, I choose Iannuzzi.
  21. McG may be in phenomenal shape going in but he's never boxed before. 5 rounds of MMA is gruelling but surviving 12 rounds of boxing is different. You have to pace yourself differently. I could totally see McG struggling to pace himself, throwing punches at Mayweather, gassing himself by the 8th round. It will be interesting, which, again, is why I want to see this fight.
  22. They're still going to pick 30 players but they're giving the teams a chance to hold onto that one guy they couldn't fit into 7-3-1 or 4-4-1.
  23. All true. But this expansion draft is so heavily weighted towards the Vegas Strippers, that they're bound to do well. Unless of course McPhee manages to screw everything up. They'll get in the playoffs in a few years and be successful in the short term.
  24. It means the tickets are being devalued, even if someone is paying for them, the fans are not. One of the struggles that the new Panther ownership mentioned after they took over was getting fans to 'buy' tickets. They had been so used to getting them for free, why bother paying for them? So, the Panthers stopped handing them out for free and faced smaller crowds. But, they believed they were doing what was necessary to change the mindset. The practice free tickets for attractions don't really happen in Vegas anymore. World class entertainment costs money.
  25. Myers is worth more than Dano and Petan (or some 2nd round draft pick). If the Jets can't protect Myers, it's going to be expensive to for them to get Vegas to take anyone else. Maybe too expensive...
