Which makes the Denmark delay puzzling. They got him in the end but there's always the risk.
-
Yeah, I think McDuffie will be there until he drops a return, which won't happen until at least August. (Because that's what seems to happen, not because I expect him to fail)

He's a player, not management. You sign a contract with a team, not with a GM. If don't treat the players with respect, why would you expect them to treat the team with respect? -

Agree, agree, agree. It's not like Foley did anything wrong. The least you should do is pick up the phone and tell the guy. -
Could wait for some NFL cuts too. Some receivers won't make it to the summer and the Bobmers can be there to poach someone.
-
I remember when Khan went for his stint with the Stampeders, he talked about how well the players were treated. Always made me sad to think that we didn't treat our players as well and, likely, lost a few free agents as a result.

For reference: Best OL time was 4.81 Eighth best time was 5.15 (there were four OL that received that time). Bench press: Top 35 reps for OL. And seven players got 26 reps. Is he that far off?

Some want to upgrade their families. No word on the trade-in value yet. Devil is in the details.

Great idea! My son (7), who usually has my second season ticket, attends the Banjo Bowl with my mother. She's a Rider fan, so I make them sit wayyyy down in the south end zone. Anything that improves their experience (more kid friendly) will be positive. Please don't forget about the kids in the upper deck! It drives my son crazy when he sees stuff like the fan cannon, which target only the lower level.

When can teams start moving players again? After the playoffs are done or after the teams involved are done? It seems like it will be a pretty small window and, Vegas won't get the lists until June 18th, I believe. I would only take them if I knew there was a market. IE they get a call from Chevy who wants a particular goalie in exchange for whatever. If there are good D available, I agree.
-
How is it a gong show? And, why should McPhee be fired immediately if he drafted six goalies? They're assets that can be moved and may be worth more than the skaters available.
-
Lists are being made a available and there's no moratorium on Vegas making deals during the draft period. If I'm the Jets, I look at the lists and make the call to Vegas. Grab goalie A and we'll give you players B & C. Why make things easy on the Pens? The Pens are stuck right now unless they can make a deal with Vegas to leave Murray. Or, get Fleury to waive his NMC. And, why would he do that at this point? Jets would then have to leave Helle unprotected and make a deal with Vegas. There's going to be lots of goalies moving and I'm not sure Fleury is the best choice at this point.
-
What if, as suggested last night on H&L (via some other random source), the Vegas Strippers take 6 goalies (or any goalies worth more than the forwards/defensemen being offered) and deal them during the summer? They could stockpile a good selection of prospects that way.

It's the type of show that I think I would enjoy but I just have never watched it. Love Catherine O'Hara but I can only take so much Eugene Levy.
-
I watched the Office and did not mind it. For a while, it was the funniest thing on network TV. But it only worked for a while. What was the point of the documentary after a few years? I know at the end, they "launched" the doc in the show but that was weird. I don't think it works at all with Modern Family. Why is a film crew following them around? Get rid of the faux-doc format. I haven't seen the Goldbergs yet but, with your recommendation, maybe I will.
-
It's just the modern sitcom format. I think the format is played out but are we going back to live studio audiences (like Big Bang Theory)? I like the sitcom format more than the faux-doc format but I don't see the industry moving back in that direction, yet.

Adamergei Waiverski Lowrymov.

I thought was going to enjoy him more but he seemed to goofy for me. Maybe, it's just the role. The Mediocre Four. I want the Doom from the Secret Wars, not from the bubbling villain from Avengers: Assemble (TV series).
-
Hischier, if I remember correctly.

I heard that one too. Basically, Nolan hasn't developed in the last year, so will he progress as quickly in the NHL to become a top centre... Hard to say what his injury and surgery did to put him back. The scout also questioned his drive to improve. That would be a big red flag if I'm a GM. This could be a Yakupov-sort-of-year.

Not sure which forum to put this in. Saw this on Twitter last night and decided to order today: 75% OFF - CFL® – WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS LIMITED EDITION SIGNED PRINT $44.98 (plus tax) after discount. Regular $179.95. https://www.canadapost.ca/shop/cflextra25/p-341900.jsf?execution=e1s1 Bombers fans – score with this winning combination! A limited edition framed print showcasing an autographed enlargement of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers* commemorative stamp and the CFL’s 100th Grey Cup® stamp – both issued to celebrate the 100th Grey Cup Game. Winnipeg has been competing for the Grey Cup since 1930. They have won the Grey Cup championship ten times, including the infamous Fog Bowl game of 1962 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. As the game progressed into the second quarter, the fog rolled in from Lake Ontario, making it difficult for players to see the ball and nigh on impossible for fans to see anything at all. The game was finally postponed until the next morning, where Winnipeg was victorious with a score of 28 to 27. The featured player in the stamp foreground is retired quarterback and Canadian Football Hall of Famer Ken Ploen, wearing jersey #11. Ploen led his team to six Grey Cup appearances and four victories, including the Fog Bowl. With only 300 available, each limited edition print comes numbered and personally hand-signed by Ploen. Also included are two matching mint stamps and a team pin. The authenticity of the athlete's autograph is guaranteed by Canada Post and is accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity and official CFL hologram that comes with every piece of CFL licensed memorabilia. Yes, I thought they made him look good but the movie itself wasn't good. That would be an interesting tie-in with the Infinity Wars. They're going to struggle to get everyone some screen time in that film. However, with SS, you wouldn't have to worry about appeasing any actor's ego. Could just show up at some point and leave without much fanfare. Just a little kernel for the fans. And, maybe, it could lead to a standalone movie.

Exactly. There's a whole lot wrong with FF movies. The Thing will always be difficult to get right, even in a great FF (if that ever happens). I accept that as a reality and not a criticism of the movies. I was just reading an origin story to my son on Silver Surfer and reflecting on that movie. Gawd, Silver Surfer deserves better.
-
It makes me think of the Thing. His look is so hokey and it doesn't translate, IMO, to the movies so well. Of course, the first family of Marvel can't get a decent movie.

I've been amazed at how Marvel has been able to bring the two companies together to push the Spiderman/Avengers connection. Well done. Not sure if they're ready for a Cap/Spidey movie yet but I can dream.
