  1. Best way to see Saskatchewan is non-stop... or not stopping.
  2. I like that scenario much better (Glenn vs Burris) I think the telling thing here is that the Bombers have not approached Willy to talk contract. That tells me that they have not lost faith in him.
  3. If Burris is released and you can get him at a discounted rate, do you trade Willy? Gives Bombers flexibility at the end of the year. Get something from the Argos. Get a quality back-up for Nicholls. I'm not advocating, just discussing.
  4. You only get punished if you're wrong. O'Shea has been good with his challenges. He gets good advice. I'm glad they're listening and I'm glad they're not waiting.
  5. I guess so. They said it's effective immediately.
  6. But if Willy feels he's lost the faith of the coaching staff, it may be too hard to regain it. It will depend on who gets the back-up reps both on the field and on the practice field. If sees too many obstacles, he may want to move on. It's not as though he's spent much time or had much success in the new Lapo offense.
  7. I don't want anyone in Saskatchewan to think they're special because they're not!
  8. Woohoo game day! Can we get to Glenn before he releases? We haven't had much success so far this season getting to him. Can we stop Carter/Lewis? Let's hit them hard and get them off their game. Can Carter try to pull that same BS he pulled against Ottawa? I would love to see O'Shea lay him out! Can we keep winning? Yes, we can!
  9. I don't want Orridge messing with the on-field product. I DO want him to put the right people in place to help facilitate improvement with the on-filed product.
  10. Toronto is different because the owners also benefit from the stadium and having butts in seats. It's not like the old days at Sky Dome, where the owners saw the Argos as an inconvenience. Plus, the Argos are not as limited for picking game days. The fans will come back. They'll go to BMO. They need time. Cohon helped get Ottawa back. He helped get the CFL their TV deal. I'm not sure how I feel about Cohon but he did get some things accomplished. He also didn't panic when the NFL 'experiment' came to Canada.
  11. Much like Goodell, he has some bad timing. A lot of issues Orridge has had to deal were leftover (ignored) by the previous administration.
  12. That sounds correct. Still, how many teams can take on that much of a cap hit to not ice players?!
  13. Are they still paying Pronger too?
  14. Man, I hate RedBlacks. I hate the Lions too. But tonight, I hate the RedBlacks more.
  15. I don't think, as a group, we could come up with enough money for that tab. Is Foodie Goodie still open? Let's not forget that Lewis blocks too and really enjoys hitting people. He's a threat when receiving the ball but also on any offensive play.
  16. Best was the Ti-Cats response on Twitter last week with Cryin' Jordan after the beat down.
  17. Ducky, I hope you're right about Connor. I am always pleased to be proven wrong when it helps the Jets!
  18. I'll ask them. But since we have no idea where the Blue Bombers are versus the cap, what salaries they're paying, etc, we're all just speculating. I guess the point of this thread should be, if paying Nicholl's his bonuses means we have to cut someone (or $XXX), who should get cut? I guess Cronk. The victim of the Nicholl's bonuses!
  19. But the Act dictates what authorities the Board has. They are also responsible for promoting workplace health and safety. I wonder how they would even approach the Bombers? This is just a scare tactic by the CFLPA, which won't result in anything.
  20. Yes, but a government would be obligated to review all WC claims. Imagine that gig! Video evidence everywhere!
  21. Yes, the government's tell workplaces all the time what they can and cannot do to protect employees. Not sure why sports would be treated any different, other than we willingly turn a blind eye to the potential long term damage that may be being caused.
  22. Is Max Hall available or incarcerated?
  23. Yes, but I can't see him staying here with a pay cut. If he feels the coaches have lost faith in him, why would he stay?
  24. I don't know that the discussion is so much around cut him or not... I guess some are still advocating that... but the discussion is around cap management and how you make changes to meet the cap. Who do you cut, if you have to make tough choices. Or just spend whatever, the Rider way.
  25. Provincial jurisdiction, I believe. Interesting how different provinces would handle similar issues. I have no problem with improving the safety of the game. We know the game is going to change dramatically over the next while, anyhow. Just pointing out the obvious, I guess.
