2022/2023 Off-Season (League/Non-Bombers-specific News)

He's still a separatist but he's mostly interested in money. Money is far more important to Quebecor than anything else. -
But, he's been mediocre so far, what makes you think it will get better? Or do you just accept a middling team forever?
-
Rules for thee, not for me. Conservatives are the worst.
-
There's always a fall guy for the Uber corrupt and most horrible people in this world. There's no hell but if it existed, it would be for people like Murdoch and Trump.
-
The Arizona Bettman's win again.
-
If you accept that nothing can be done to make the Jets a better team, then Chevy is your guy. And, I have to wonder about the future of the team if you can't attract anyone to play here and you can't be competitive. Chychrun didn't have a no trade.
-
There you go! Accept mediocrity.
-
Here you are. Every team plays with the same salary cap.
-
Again, you can be happy with Chevy and make lots of excuses but he's not a good GM.
-
Covid. Come on. The Jets will forever be a middling team with Chevy at the helm. Defend him all you want but you're not ever going to get a truly competitive team with a competitive coach.
-
It's not all his fault but he's been here over 10 years. Every contract, every coach, every player is his and it's not enough. You can accept it but the fans, not going to games anymore, are not.
-
Who knows but you know Chevy not the answer.
-
Hire a better GM. It's more than 10 years of middling, nothingness. His last coach had to fire himself. Couldn't attract their marquee coach last year. Can't attract players.
-
Can't disagree enough. He gets paid tons and doesn't have to produce anything. Middling GM on a middling team. Can't attract players or coaches.
-
Because conservatives only have hate and anger.
-
I drove my Chevy to the levy but the levy was dry.
-
Just, for the love of God, don't get sick. Or, want to get an education.
-
Missing some like Winnipeg Winter Club and Canlan, if they still have ice. I remember playing at Canlan back in the day too.

Pulled this list from Wikipedia of remaining curling rinks in the city. I've probably lost at most of these. Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club Charleswood Curling Club Deer Lodge Curling Club East St. Paul Curling Club Elmwood Curling Club Fort Garry Curling Club Fort Rouge Curling Club Grain Exchange Curling Club Granite Curling Club Heather Curling Club Pembina Curling Club Rossmere Golf and Country Club West St. Paul Curling Club St. Vital Curling Club Thistle Curling Club Victoria Curling Club West Kildonan Curling Club West St. Paul Curling Club Wildewood Curling Club

I started at Deer Lodge, then I was in North Battleford and Regina, but ended up at Charleswood as a teen/adult. They had great ice when Stoughton was curling out of there in the 90s/00s. I'm not sure now. So many great rinks in this city.
-
I faintly remember spieling at the Thistle. So many of our curling rinks are very, very old but so beautiful in their own way. But, I guess that would have been the old location. I don't think I ever curled at this location - the Valour.

Don't Look Back - 2022/2023 Bombers Off Season
JCon replied to Wideleft's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
@DTonOB You praised Sayles and the TiCats picking him up in FA. I would say that most at MBB were disappointed with his performance last year and don't feel as though we'll miss him. Why do you think the TiCats paid that much for him? And, what did you see that made you think he's a good pickup for the TiCats (or a loss for the Bombers)? -

I hope you subscribe to her Substack. Her writing is so fantastic. https://melissamartin.substack.com/ She just wrote a new piece about Kyiv and AI. Before that, she hadn't posted anything for a while. -
Chevy likes this comment.
