  1. Hope so. He has spent his entire career(8 years) in BC, so the comfort factor is there. At his age he might just be happy to take the money and stay with whats familiar. Of course we wont even be in the discussion if Lawler comes back. No way we could afford both.
  2. BC does have a ton of cap room now with Reilly and Durant off the books, so they could probably outbid everyone to retain Burnham. I imagine they'll try. Itll come down to whether he wants to stay.
  3. His statement really sounds like a guy hanging up his cleats. Im surprised. I don’t even know where to start. In 2013 I was driving to a new country, to a new city called Hamilton and couldn’t help but ask myself ‘why?’. Eight years later, I know why. Thank you to one of the best organizations I’ve been a part of for making me into the man I am today. Thank you for the opportunities, thank you for believing in me and thank you for fighting for me, even when I was wrong. I want to personally thank Mr. Caretaker Bob Young, Mr. Scott Mitchell, Shawn Burke, Coach O, Coach Jones, Coach Austin and all the coaches who were with me for this journey. Thank you to the medical staff, the strength and conditioning coaches and the equipment staff who always had my swag right. Thank you to the media relations staff, the stadium operations staff, the business operations staff and thank you to Ms. Tina and her staff. Thank you to ALL my teammates who I’ve had the honour of sharing the Ticats helmet with. Every year that locker room was full of life! Tiger-Town… Wow, thank you so much for welcoming me and my family to your city and for allowing me to make Hamilton a second home. Thank you for the great times in the community and for always making game day so special for me and my family. I always played my hardest for you, trying to bring home that Grey Cup you all deserve. I will always bleed black and gold. Thank you Tiger-Town. LIAR!
  4. Cant see Montreal letting him go and Weineke's got a good thing going with VAJ. In Burnham's case he might be looking for a change of scenery, being surrounded by a crap team with no QB and all.
  5. Not until the world gets vaccinated
  6. He's more than just a possession guy, he can still do it all. Still a couple good years left in him i think.
  7. Bum. I really think if Lawler signs in the NFL Walters will go hard after Burnham.
  8. The old conundrum of more money+garbage team vs less money+potential championship
  9. Yeah, his season is going to look much different without Reilly throwing him the ball. Perhaps a blessing in disguise for us? Maybe Mr. Burnham is now looking for a change of scenery.....What better player to slide right in if we lose Lawler.
  10. $200K no, but i'd bet my bottom dollar that theres a team out there that is willing to pay him more than Walters is. That is my concern.
  11. He's highly regarded around the league. I wouldnt be surprised to see a team throw some big money at him.
  12. It sounds like he's focusing on different positions now as far as contracts are concerned. That doesnt sound encouraging on the Stove front
  13. He was the first one to re-sign i believe
  14. Perhaps he was stating that he thought his cousins "ass is a nine" on the hotness scale and it got abbreviated from there, ala the telephone game??
  15. No kidding. The guy has broken 800 yards once in 5 years and you gave him $200K? To quote our friend at riderfans, that is asinine!
  16. I swear they put something in the water over there that kills brain cells. Its the only explanation. So its asinine to pay the reigning MVP QB who has won back to back championships and comprised a 17-2 record $38K more than a bible salesman turned QB who has the same amount of Grey Cup championships as me?!?! Its truly hard to wrap your head around how brain dead Rider fans are.
  17. So you'd rather go with a guy who you dont think can be successful as a QB over guys who have been successful for many years in this league(Harris, Masoli)? Seems odd.
  18. Mechanics aside, i really think people are letting his devastating running ability and his legendary Grey Cup celebrating blur their memory about Streveler. Even after a couple of seasons with us he was still prone to horrendous decisions and brain farts in the passing game, often forcing throws and flat out missing wide open guys. People forget he started 7 games in a row during the latter part of 2019 and had a TD/INT ratio of 7-11, throwing multiple INT's in 5 of 7 games. His poor decision making followed him to Arizona where he was ultimately released after being outperformed by 35 year old journeyman Colt McCoy?!? He's shown flashes but is wayyyyyy too inconsistent to be trusted as a starter. Like Noeller said, i love the guy but he is not a #1 QB in any league.
  19. Too busy sitting on the board of directors for the Susan Ross Foundation.
  20. Nichols is broken and MBT is half nuts, hard pass on both. Harris and Masoli are the only real options if Collaros leaves imo.
  21. Worst case we lose Collaros to Toronto and Masoli ends up in Ottawa. Where is Harris going to go? If he wants to still be a starter it would have to be here and most likely at a discount. You cant win with young QB's unless youre the Stampeders apparently. He still has game based on his sample size with Montreal last season, and he's never played behind an o-line as good as ours. He wouldnt need to be all-world with us, just be serviceable and limit turnovers. And i would imagine him coming into a veteran championship winning tight group with OSH at the helm would effectively smother his ego/locker room issues, if he infact has any. Trust me, i desperate want Collaros back but we could win with Harris.
