The hesitation I believe is that exporting green energy in Canada's case doesn't make a lot sense as our market would be limited to the northern states primarily. We need to turn our thinking around and accept that access to energy is a right and not a commodity to fully transition to green energy and that's one of the things that scares big oil.

The world is getting it, but Canada is slow to adapt. For the first time (article from 2016), there are more people employed in renewable energy worldwide than there are in oil and gas. That statistic — based on data in a recent report from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) — should be a wake-up call to Canada, where a large part of the economic debate continues to focus on pripeline construction and hopes for an oil-price rebound. The renewables sector employed 8.1 million people in 2015, up five per cent in a year, the report said, while oil and gas lost some 250,000 jobs by the end of 2015. And for the sixth year running, more money was invested worldwide into expanding renewable energy production than into oil and gas production. Jobs-wise China is leading the way, with more than 3.5 million employed in renewable energy (compared to 2.6 million employed in oil), followed by Brazil (918,000 jobs) and the U.S. with 769,000 renewable energy jobs. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2016/06/13/canada-oil-renewables-energy_n_10441636.html

Florida boy who used his vacation money to feed hurricane evacuees gets free Disney trip A trip to Walt Disney World is every kid’s dream. But when one Florida boy set aside his dream to help Hurricane Dorian evacuees, the theme park stepped in. Jermaine Bell, 7, and his family were surprised with VIP getaway to Disney World after they used their vacation money to buy food for those escaping the hurricane. https://www.miamiherald.com/news/weather/hurricane/article234881302.html

Just my personal experience: Partially separated my right shoulder and dislocated my left shoulder (different incidents). The dislocation hurt way more until it was popped back in (under general anesthesia). Apparently, nurses in the ER play a guessing game based on the pain shown in a patient's face when they present and most guessed kidney stones or dislocated shoulder for me. Pain after the separation lasted months and months whereas the dislocation was an issue for weeks (but I'm right-handed). The right shoulder still clicks like a bugger after 20 years and my release point (slo-pitch related (not a pitcher) has been reduced to the point where I can't really throw from the outfield, but I can still whip it in on a rope if I play infield. Needless to say, he'll take physio a lot more serious than I did. The danger with dislocated shoulders is that they will tend to pop out more easily after the first one and then surgery is recommended.

It's time to hand the ball to Streveler.
Wideleft replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I stand corrected. -
They're not sending their best. They're racists, they're selfish, they're idealogues and some, I assume are fine people.
-
Is it my imagination or have you been more active here since 8Chan got shut down?
-
Fine, but as I look for your past condemnations of the Pittsburgh synagogue or El Paso Wal-Mart shootings, I'm coming up empty. I can't figure out why that might be.

A lot of starting QB's need a couple of series at the beginning of the game just to get comfortable. Streveler really hasn't had that opportunity in any meaningful way (like the game is on the line) since the beginning of last season. This is a good opportunity for him and the Bombers to see what he's actually learned since then, because I don't think Lapo's done him any favours in his spot duty. -
I can condemn female genital mutilation (and the male equivalent for that matter) and call out racism without referring to a group of people as barbarians. Not sure I'm following your second point, but does that mean defending Scheer's racist advisors simply indicates support for capitalism or neo-liberalism?
-
If one is doing something that is illegal, there are laws for that. We don't need to call a group of people Barbarians in order to try and get more votes. That may be the not so subtle racist angle that people somehow miss.
-
I have an extremely low opinion of Canadians who are smug about racism.
-
1. It's not hysterical if it is factually stated. 2. I would never defend that, but I'm not naive to think this wasn't solely designed to make immigrants feel marginalized. Some people don't need a politician to wear a white hood in order to figure out that they're a racist.
-
So you didn't read the links I provided that substantiate what Leadnow was saying. Maybe you won't be so skeptical if you read them. Your second point has already been refuted by mention of the Barbaric Cultural Practises hotline.

The "I'm not a racist because I don't think I'm a racist, even though I vote for people who say and do racist things and hire racists" argument is getting weaker every day.

Did Hamish Marshall co-found Rebel Media or not? He did. And Scheer doesn't want to talk about it. https://beta.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/scheer-walks-out-on-media-when-asked-about-campaign-managers-rebel-ties/article36610946/?ref=http://www.theglobeandmail.com& Is Georganne Burke an outreach director for Scheer and did she form an anti-muslim group for Scheer? Yes and yes. https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/qvzznq/conservative-party-leadership-advisor-helped-create-anti-islam-organization Is Stephen Taylor Scheer's Digital Director and is he involved in a racist discussion group. Yup and it sure looks like it. https://www.bashirmohamed.com/blog/taylor It's strange that you choose to attempt to demean Leadnow instead of condemning the documented racism of the people mentioned. It's pure bull to suggest that Harper's immigrant snitch line is in the same strata of public policy than that of the Liberals.

The brilliant comedy of Dave Hill. Make sure you stick around for his bible lesson (about 3 min in).
