I hesitate to like anything from the Fraser Institute, but thanks!

It doesn't matter if the walkway is below, above or ground level - there needs to be something to drive foot traffic. Crime actually goes down when you have more people present. I'd love to see elements of the New York Highline implemented at or above ground level. This is a huge opportunity for downtown, but we refuse to vote for visionaries anymore.

And we were the quickest to show economic recovery in the G7 coming out of the worst of the pandemic. UK and Italy have shown more growth since Feb 2022, but their economies were truly in the sh!++er.

At least he tried to take on the developers with the growth fees. Other than that, I am drawing a bit of a blank.

Bowman was so gutless on P&M.

"Identity politics" - also known as looking beyond the straight/white voting bloc. Meanwhile, the right is literally demonizing trans people because they've run out of "others" to demonize.

If anyone needs an example of institutional racism for future conversations with racism deniers, feel free to drop Browaty's name on this.

And advocating against being informed because "cost". I mean, what price does someone put on combatting racism?

This Manitoban disagrees. Mind you, I don't even think the "What is centre" question really matters anymore. I highly doubt there are many voters who are actually seeking the most centrist candidate to support, when "centrist" comes in many different flavours.

So what happens to Streveler now that Rodgers is going to the Jets? -
The idea of centre (to me) is not a point on a line. To use the clock analogy, it would be between 10 and 11 on the left side of noon and between 1 and 2 on the right side. Ideologically, a centrist government maintains public services with appropriate increases in funding based on inflation and gradually moves society forward socially, environmentally and scientifically. A good centrist government is open to change and progress and allocates funding according to long-term, rather than short-term targets. I consider the current Liberal government as pretty central on the spectrum. That they get attacked from both the left (for not changing things more quickly) and the right (woke!) kind of backs that up.
-
It all depends on what we consider center now. Conservative governments have moved so far right that I'd consider 2 PM on a clock "center". The 9-12 slice doesn't really exist in practicality.

Elon thought it could drive itself.

The only thing that gives me hope is that Bill O'Reilly and Megyn Kelly have really lost the spotlight after leaving Fox.

Except she displays compassion, kindness, intelligence and equitability. As a progressive, I'm fine claiming her for my side.

So simplistic. You're ignoring the fact (as always) that it was part of Winnipeg's commitment to implement the 94 recommendations of the Truth & Reconciliation Commission. You may have heard of Winnipeg - it has the largest First Nations population of any Canadian city. Not per capita - total. That you don't see the significance of his ignorance says a lot about you.

Something something awesome councillor: Jeff Browaty resigns as chair of Winnipeg Police Board 6 years ago News Duration1:49 Coun. Jeff Browaty is resigning from his position as chair of the Winnipeg Police Board, following a call from the board itself for his removal after he questioned the need for all city staff to receive education about the legacy of residential schools. https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/872992323864

Browaty is a clown. There.

Or they'll vote Western Independence, not knowing that it's really just the same s**t in a different pile.

Have heard good things about it. Thanks - will put it on my ever-growing list.
