  1. The Cody Jesus thing is real over there and I think Maas would be given a one way ticket out of town if he got in the way of Faj being the saviour in a home town Grey Cup game. Not like the Riders are gonna be in that game either way...
  2. What is the over-under on TiCat fan ejections? I hope they'll be checking for dead batteries at the stadium gates.
  3. While there is no question about who the better team is, I do have a concern that the TiCats will be hungrier for the win than the defending Champs. And that is my only concern.
  4. People called Faj out for sliding late (which is true), but no one said that it shouldn't have been a penalty.
  5. Narrator: "Literally no one said that."
  6. I told my wife it was game over when the Bombers got their first TD. Didn't seem like the turnovers rattled them at all.
  7. Adams did some great things today. Harris is the straw that stirs the drink. Great mental toughness by all to not let the mistakes fester.
  8. I seriously doubt the Riders will score an offensive touchdown. Either a TD on a turnover or a special teams play (but not both) are more likely in my humble opinion.
  9. I swear that I read that teams have to travel together regardless of transport mode and therefore they must all be vaxxed. No provisions for separate travel allowed. I have some digging to do. (Wrong again.) https://www.tsn.ca/cfl-will-not-allow-unvaccinated-players-to-travel-play-in-playoffs-1.1708748 CFL players who cannot travel with their teams to the East or West Division finals, or the Grey Cup game, will not be allowed to participate. The league decided Tuesday that any players not able to travel with their teams to road games once the federal government invokes its mandate on vaccinations for air and rail travel on Nov. 30th will be put on a suspended list and not paid for any missed games. The CFL division finals on Dec. 5th and the Grey Cup on Dec. 12th are the only games affected by the new government policy. Tuesday’s decision ends weeks of speculation about how the league would handle the ban on unvaccinated passengers travelling, given the close proximity teams in the East Division have in comparison to those in the West. Teams in the East can easily bus to any location within their division, meaning no team will be at risk of missing players for the East Division Final. However, with Winnipeg about to clinch first place in the West, their opposition will have a choice to make: either fly to the game and leave some players behind, or travel by bus and bring everybody. Busing from Regina (573 kilometres) to Winnipeg is certainly doable but is a tougher contemplation for Calgary (1,357 km) and especially Vancouver (2,423 km). Getting to the Grey Cup will also be tricky for the West representative. It is 1,968 kms from Winnipeg, the anticipated site of the West Division Final, to Hamilton, host of this year’s Grey Cup.
  10. Can someone responsible please make sure that he's got proper socks and footwear to protect those quick tootsies?
  11. I stand corrected. CFL is just following Federal Gov't rules. The MBT thing is a CFL decision, though. "A federal mandate took effect on Wednesday that bans people who aren’t vaccinated from travelling on planes, trains or ships." https://leaderpost.com/sports/football/cfl/saskatchewan-roughriders/brett-lauther-nominated-for-jake-gaudaur-veterans-award Travelling by plane or train between provinces/territories If you’re 12 years of age plus four months, or older, you must be fully vaccinated in order to board: domestic or international flights departing from most airports in Canada, including charter and foreign airlines carrying commercial passengers Medevac flights are excluded, regardless of where they depart or land Private flights that don't require access to airports with a vaccination requirement are excluded VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/provinces
  12. I thought the rule is that unvaxxed players couldn't travel regardless of whether they were crossing a border, but I guess I was wrong. Which is kind of stupid, because it gives home teams a unique advantage.
  13. The CFL needs to fix this mess by the end of this afternoon. Talk about putting your thumb on the scale if MBT is ineligible.
  14. This kind of explains why punches are thrown in the end zone after the Bombers score a touchdown. (But only when the Riders are visiting)
  15. Deleted (quoted the wrong poster)
  16. I used to choke up reading "If You're Not From the Prairie" to my kids.
  17. Demski wore sleeves during the last home game. If a Winnipegger wears sleeves, that's a green light for everyone else in my opinion. Still, you’re not from the prairie, And yet you know cold… You say you’ve been cold? Of all of those memories we share when we’re old, None are more clear than that hard bitter cold. You’ll not find among us a soul who can say: “I’ve conquered the wind on a cold winter’s day.” If you’re not from the prairie, You don’t know the cold, You’ve never been cold! -David Bouchard
  18. Cool! TORONTO – Arkells have enlisted a little help from multiplatinum, folk-rock authorities, The Lumineers, to wow their hometown crowd as part of the Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show. The Denver-based duo will join the headliners at the 108th playing of the CFL’s championship game at Hamilton’s Tim Hortons Field on Sunday, December 12 at 6 p.m. ET. https://www.cfl.ca/2021/12/02/arkells-welcome-lumineers-special-guests-108th-grey-cup/
  19. Sometimes an idea is so good that it should be copied.
  20. By "limited", he meant speed - limited. Less than 25 mph.
  21. I don't think the weather will be conducive to that kind of score unless there are a lot of turnovers while teams are pinned deep. I'm thinking more like 21-8 Bombers.
  22. Actually, that question is key and makes me much more confident in a Bomber win. The Riders won't get more than 11 points. They really are over-rated crapola.
  23. Fajardo can't throw mid to long range passes in perfect weather, so the chances of a big play are very slim in -10 windchill and snow - unless a db slips and falls and an unintended receiver catches it. It's going to be dink and dunk and scrambling from the Riders all game and I think that can only be successful for a short while because the Bombers get to the ball so quickly. Even our inside guys are fast enough to catch Jesus Sprinkles - nevermind the ends. The only way the Bombers lose is if they get a bad case of fumbleitis.
  24. If I had your money, I'd burn mine.
