  1. Everyone saw in a close up how Alexander took the ball away from White. All, except the CC. It's gone from the occasional screw up to at least one bad call a game now. The problem is just getting worse. It can't be enjoyable working under such pressure. Now, more mistakes are being made because of it. If I was a head referee, you couldn't pay me enough to do that job once I retired.
  2. Playing Neufeld is a scary thought. Micah Vanterpool 6'6 315 lbs.
  3. When they look at wins & losses they don't remember which were the great wins & which weren't. A win is a win. However, our OL is in tatters. I don't know if Walters goes out & finds another Guard somewhere.
  4. I have a feeling Big Stan will be back next game. Yeah, losing the rookie hurts. That was a pick. The CC screwed up once more.
  5. The past 2 or 3 seasons I've always thought that the Argos had one of the best, if not the best OL in the CFL. After tonight, my opinion has changed. They're still Top 4 but are sinking fast. They were eaten alive on the run by the Riders DL. Dinwiddie doesn't need Nick Arbuckle as his QB3. He needs a big, strong, short yardage qb.
  6. Yes, that makes sense as Nielsen is young as well as the New Kid on the block.
  7. And who said it? Glen Suitor, of course. It was a stupid comment since he knows the rules. Just what was he advocating for??
  8. Well, you said you disliked him because he always works with Suitor. Like, he has a choice.
  9. Smith old? You are one of the biggest age discriminators we have here. He's 58. You're rapidly getting there yourself age wise now thaat your're in your 40's. The way the radio & tv biz is in Canada, you better hope you don't get laid off as you're probably looked upon as old yourself by program directors at least ten years younger than you. Don't fret, though as you can always get a job behind the salex counter at a gas station in Olds. Oh wait, there's that foreign worker thingy going on...
  10. Why is working with Suitor his fault?
  11. Carl's Jr & eastside Mario's.
  12. I binged watched Ted Lasso when I was at my son's place. Man, that series just hooks you in...
  13. When I think about Rod Black doing that game with Glen Suitor, I'm glad Nielsen is there instead.
  14. yeah, they could be 2-7. At least Dyce acted like a coach expecting to win this time letting his players celebrate without him.
  15. We have both as well.
  16. To go where, exactly?? That's the problem.
  17. C'mon man.... What cave have you been hiding in the past 10 years? The best writers on team beats get hired by the different CFL teams to do their pro team writing on ther website. Ed Tait is an example. Do you think he'll ever write a negative piece about the Bombers who are his employers? Highly unlikely. Jean Lefebvre, was a Calgary Sun beat writer for years. He was hired in a similar role with the Stamps in charge of Media Relations. From what I heard from another former (laid off by Postmedia) writer LeFebvre wields a lot of power. He controls who gets in & who doesn't get into the press box as well as locker room access. I know of another former Global broadcaster who maintains a media & film company. Lefebvre refuses to let him into the press box even though he covered the team for nearly 30 years. Another former broadcaster who covered the team in the 80's, 90's & 2000's also has to treead lightly around the guy or he's worried he may lose his accreditaion provelidges as well. We also now have a Stamps beat write named Danny Austin who I follow on X. Last game, despite the loss he said that the Stamps really tried hard. That's it. No criticism of play calling or any player. He never criticizes. Postmedia is no longer sending anyone to cover the Stamps on road trips. Austin announced that since he's not getting paid to watch the teamon tv that he would no longer have any ongoing commentary on the game on X. he does make a few comments here & there but it's just like a fan watching the game. And guess what? Nothing about the Stamps appear in either the Calgary Herald or Sun the next publshing day. No storyline. No score, Nothing. It's like the game is never played. I do know that there was a time where someone covering the Stamps or Bombers would find a way to cover road games even if their boss said no. Guys like Jack Matheson would have done it for free as they had a passion for the game & absolutely loved the Bombers. The same here in Calgary with guys like Calgary Herald Sports Editor Hal Walker & others. Different generation of media now today who do things a lot different.
  18. He hasn't been there long enough for me to hate him as a pbp announcer. The problem is teaming him with Glen Suitor. He's always been the problem no matter who he's teamed with.
  19. We all enjoy when Rider fans suffer. It's so.... calming.
  20. This is a common problem in all CFL cities. Softball, no questions to piss off the HC or GM. Teams control the message now. It used to be the media.
  21. Yes, he can see every game if CBS Sports doesn't show it. It remains absolutely stupid for a league wanting to grow the game in the US, just how ridiculous it is for fans down there to have to jump thru these hoops just to watch a CFL game. The Seahawks were playing at the same time Edmonton & Hamilton were so guess what game we watched? College football starts later this week. Randy's CFL 2.0. Ya snooze ya lose.
  22. TSN guys (Suitor, Naylor & Lalji) just doesn't get why other team fanbases have no sympathy for Rourke & laugh when he sucks.
