  1. Nye never picks us anyway so big deal.
  2. We were once mods on a CFL site nearly 20 years ago. I found him to be unstable. The guy is wacked. He wanted to fight me as well. He hated the fact I was a Bomber fan & I used to make fun of Regina (which to him, is Mevcca). And I constantly reminded him of it. He's always been a fool.
  3. He was the start. We filled in the pieces after that. Guards are generally the final pieces.
  4. Last week you were telling us the Bombers were a bunch of cowards for not standing up for Collaros. That you wanted blood. Now you're concerned about fans being overconfident? Fans that don't play the game. You're all over the place. I think the babble you spew hurts your brain.
  5. It was probably Migs. ******* loser.
  6. The 1972 Western Final. Game tied 21-21. Four separate punts back & forth twice in & out of the end zone by both teams on the second last play of the game off a wide Jack Abendschan FG attempt by the Riders. The first place 10-6 Bombers Bombers flagged by those ******* officials for No Yards. Ball moved 15 yards closer to the goalposts. Abendschan's second attempt was good & we lost to the 9-9 third place Riders that season by a score of 24-21. A team we owned during the regular season. That game haunted me for 37 years until Cody Fajardo's pass hit the goalpost on third down on the last play of the 2019 Western Final & we beat those sodbusters in a similarily painful way that game. It took a long time but justice was finally served.
  7. Brown doesn't have a big body of work to go on. You never know, he may be willing to stay here another year on a 1 year contract. He has to see guys like Crum, Arbuckle & Cornelius struggling & wonder if it won't happen to him on worse teams. Or.... maybe not. Just take the money & run.
  8. Well, we said that about Harris. This is pro football & two thing are cerrtain. Players move around & things change. I remember when Dieter Brock was our qb, I never thought he'd leave here either. Or that he never wanted to play here anymore. Figured he was a Bomber for life. Nope. Glad that he feels like part of the Bomber organization again. It was him & his agent that felt they needed to go to the NFL at 35. In his book, he said that was the biigest mistake he made as a player. He wishes now that he had stayed to play under Cal Murphy.
  9. Good for him but bad for the RedBlacks. Like Sukh Chungh who took the money & ran, for years after he left us he wasn't very good in BC. He needed great OL around him to be effective. He didn't make the Lions OL better or was a difference maker all by himself. The same with Desjarlais. Ottawa isn't any better with him playing because he doesn't make them better on his own. But Ottawa paid for him to be there instead of here. Desjarlais had great players around him here in Winnipeg. He doesn't have that in Ottawa. And just to be clear, I'd have loved Desjarlais to be here as in our situation, he'd have helped due to the veterans around him.
  10. Simple answer is that football evolves & changes. During the Bud Grant era when they won 4 Grey Cups in 5 years, he used 3 running backs including two fullbacks at times. The Bomber passing game consisted of two receivers... Farrell Funston & Ernie Pitts. Today, with the sophisticated passing game in the CFL employed by all teams, we don't have a TE or 3 backs. Instead we have 3 more receivers.
  11. Ha, ha, will this loser ever be back? If I lived in Regina, I'd lash out too. Because it doesn't matter if the Riders won or lost today, When they fall asleep at night o wake up in the morning, they know they still live in Regina.
  12. He signed in late September & had been off & on NFL PR's. We discussed him here saying how long will he be willing to go without a paycheque waiting for a call from an NFL team? Ottawa desperately in need of any Canadian talent especially on the line massively overpaid for the guy.
  13. So, I'm at the Banjo Bowl. If anyone wants to stop by, my wife & I will be standing across from the Bomber Store overlooking the stadium at or about 2 pm. I'll be wearing a Dieter Brock jersey with a grey beard & glasses. I'll be there till about 2:30. Please come up to say hello.
  14. People in glass houses should not throw stones.
  15. I like the final outcome of the simulation.
  16. Everyday... I don't care about Scheifle but I wish they'd find a way to keep Hellebuyck.
  17. Desjarlais did the same thing last season. He was cut by the Patriots waived thru the NFL but not offered a PR contract. He went home waiting for a call from Belichek that never happened. He eventually signed with the RedBlacks instead of us as they massively overpaid him & his presence is doing nothing to help them win as he's just a Canadian Guard. he'd have been a better & more effective player with us but money talks so he went to Ottawa. So, now he can lose but count his money after each loss like Levon did in a garage by a motorway. Ford will sit until it's clear to him that phone call he's waiting for will never come. And he's a DB that can help us but as a Sam Linebacker not as a corner.
  18. You totally lost me.
  19. Stop & think what you're saying. You want to see bench clearing brawls in football? When teams are already thin at certain positions, you want to see suspensions as well? Give your head a shake. Football is not hockey. Discipline in the sport has always been extremely stressed from pee wee to pros & is absolutely paramount. It is one of the pillars the sport is built upon. The other thing, football players are protected with all kinds of equipment. Just where will any player throw the first punch without breaking his hand?? Fighting in football makes no sense as players can get seriously hurt. That's why it doesn't happen very often. A lack of fighting or retaliation doesn't mean anything other than players have been taught not to take stupid retaliatory penalties as it hurts THE TEAM. And, TEAM will always come first. If it doesn't then you have garbage organizations like the Riders who never win anything despite trying to think they intimidate when they don't. Now then, go back to watching more You Tube videos of the 1975 Philadelphia Flyers bench clearing brawls. Probably told by the CFLPA & his team to just get it over with. What a classless organization.
  20. I've been to 3 LD Games over the years. The first one in 1974, the Bombers kicked a walk off FG to win the game. The drunk Rider fan right below me broke his whiskey bottle & held the neck shard threatening to stab me until he was hustled away by his buddies. The next time in 1988, we lost something like 50-7. I was wearing a Bomber cap & had a beer poured all over me from above as I exited the stadium. So please, after nearly being hospitalized by a drunk wacko Rider fan who was going to stab me & a free beer shower I'll never have nice things to say about Rider fans at Mosaic Stadium no matter how poetic you wax about how nice they are. They're not. Ninety five per cent are dinks. Now away from that place most become Homo Sapiens again & rejoin the human race.
  21. Getting tired of seeing daily stories of the Jets in trade talks with (insert new team everyday). Piss or get off the pot, Chevy.
  22. Football is a different sport than hockey where retaliation is the name of the game. There aren't a lot of fights. Discipline is stressed so much. Unless you're a Rider player.
  23. Simple. It's a slump. Things happen. Guys maybe get complacent. Perhaps one of the receivers think the other guy will make a play. Just a lot of reasons for it to happen, They just have to get untracked. I'm hoping the Robertson headbutt will wake this team up & motivate them to put an ass whupping on the Riders on Saturday.
  24. Booch, Parker was dreadful as a kick returner. McCrae is much more versatile & is a better returner than Parker. Can you see O'Shea dressing Fox? I sure can't.
