  1. I'd think so as well. BLM? He's finished.
  2. Probably closer to $300-350, I'd think based on how the CFL upped the pay in the off season for wideouts & Canadian OL. Ottawa massively overpaid for Drew Desjarlais as you can see how much it's helped Ottawa score touchdowns & are now the worst team in the CFL. Just a horrible use of financial resources by GM Sean Burke just like his predecessor Marcel Desjardins used to do. A left tackle should be your highest paid OL & not a Guard. But in the CFL, it's not about being the best player like Stanley Bryant. It's all about the ratio & being an overpaid Canadian so it's all political.
  3. Why do I still think that even with this huge salary that the Argos will still sign all their key veterans & have money left over to raid every team's top free agent because we know they'll never be over the cap. One set of rules for them & another for the rest of us. Just business as usual. Now, what will Dru Brown be asking for as a free agent??? And what if Nathan Rourke comes back? What will he want?? Between giving nearly $300,000 to receivers, $150-225,000 to Canadian OL & now $600,000 to quarterbacks how the hell can teams still function with the salary cap at $5.5 million?? Where's the room with the salary cap to retain key veterans??? The way this league is run kis ridiculous, I tell ya.
  4. Imagine all the time. Sheesh!!
  5. Jake was an equal opportunity referee. He screwed every team over at least once every season. He continued to do so for years after when he was the replay official for the CFL.
  6. Hey Booch, talk about a team flying under the radar? In 2008, the Stamps played the favoured Montreal Alouettes at a sold out Olympic Stadium in Montreal. Everyone in the media, including TSN was picking thr Als to win that day. Even though the Stamps beat them twice that season & were the better team. So, Head Coach John Hufnagel gave a little pre game speech. Brilliant.
  7. They did that with Michael Reilly & his parents. They were constantly on television. TSN seem to think that people care when they don't. Okay Bluto, front & center. What needs to be done to make the Argos relevant & get bums in the stands?? What would you do?
  8. Why are all these refs leaving mid season? I thought working together to develop chemistry with all the official's teams was important. Why wouldn't they retire after the season was over?
  9. I'm just glad for the guy in the shorts living in Winnipeg & trying to function in winter. I'm happy for him.
  10. I just get nervous before games, In the old days before TSN broadcast all CFL games on tv as good as Bob Irving was, I hated the radio broadcasts & seeing the game in my head as Bob described the action. Lots of times I had to turn the game off only to worry even more about the score when I turned it back on a few minutes later. It's like I'd live & die all at once. Since I can watch all games now & actually see the action unfold in real time, my stress level has dropped substantially.
  11. This sounds like you propose anarchy. CFL fans unite. You have nothing to lose but your games.
  12. It's called superstition. Fans do the same routine as the athletes when their teams win hoping it will keep them winning. Like the guy who wore shorts all year round from 1990 to 2019 during our Grey Cup drought. We've all done that at one time or another.
  13. Mayala was the worst receiver in the CFL. His passport kept him on the Al's roster far too long.
  14. Back in the late 70's, if I had a laptop when I was in university, I'd have blown through a 5000 word essay in a few hours instead of 2 days. Being able to edit, spellcheck, able to move sentences & paragraphs around would have made it so easy. I didn't have a typewriter so every essay I did was meticulously handwritten which took hours. So glad that I was a sich agood spellr. I don't like some of the slow starts we;ve had. I'd like to see us play at Mosaic Stadium & dominate from start to finish.
  15. Yep, Now Ford will be trying to save the same dumbass head coach who never believed in him.
  16. Some of you here can insult them all you want but some great players & teams have come from there nonetheless. High school football teams from Southern Alberta including teams from Lethbridge & Raymond areas routinely kick the **** out of teams from Calgary on a regular basis. Blake Nill, Nate Coehorn & the Ralph brothers also come from around there. As did Stamps CFHOF OL Lloyd Fairbanks, I believe. He grew up in Cardston which is 55 km away.
  17. I don't give a **** about Nathan Rourke. He couldn't wait to get out of the CFL to go to the NFL. He gave the impression that he was just too good for our league despite all the love he got from fans across Canada.. If he would have shown some gratitude for the support he got then I might see things differently. My feeling about him is & always shall be...
  18. Now the problem is how do we fit him into the salary cap when his contract is up? Is this his final year of his rookie deal?
  19. OL get beat. Just like DB's get beat. The other teams make plays as well.
  20. I hated the musical.
  21. One thing I've learned over the years is that as a fan you never should take your opponent for granted. When fans start talking guaranteed wins or they have no woriies that's when a snake under a rock bites them in the ass & we lose. Especially in Regina on Labour Day.
  22. Sounds just as bad as it did half a century ago. I used to frantically change stations whenever that damned song came on.
  23. I think 2013 under Tim Burke was the worst.
  24. I do believe you're right. Folks here were hoping Stubler would come here as the new DC under O'Shea . Instead we got Etcheverry.
