  1. I don't think we should expect another 15-3 season. The Lions will be tough as will the Stamps in the West. Hamilton looks like it could make some noise. I'll he happy with 13-5 if we finish first.
  2. No idea why it's so hard to recruit a big DT to take care of the run inside & push the OL on the pass rush. I will agree with you on that.
  3. We used to have four pre season games & the rookies got lots of chances to show off their talent & really push the veterans. Not anymore. Decisions are made off just one or 2 series in maybe only one game & practices. It's not the greatest way to evaluate anyone. I wish we could share practices with other teams. Have a scrimmage against another CFL team. Anything to better evaluate talent.
  4. I don't agree. Yes, we have some holes on defense on the interior of the DL & linebacker but otherwise we're solid. We roll with 2 Canadian running backs in Oliveira & Augustine. They're not going to switch ratios to an American as that means a Canadian will have to play elsewhere probably on defense in the secondary so Salima is the better back than Augustine but he gets cut & an underperforming & more expensive Augustine makes the roster. That's the down side of having a ratio.
  5. No, it doesn't. And Wally was a cheap bastard.
  6. They could have kept him as a punter but I think when trust of coaches are gone, you're all out totally. That's how I've known a number of coaches to be. Just move on.
  7. Lieghhio lost the trust of the coaching staff. They may have seen an improvement in Leggs at TC but... memories are long. They were probably afraid to give him another chance as he could struggle again as a kicker/punter. We all know once that trust is gone it's real hard to earn back. Especially froma specialist who isn't an every down player. So much for In The Canadian Mafia We Trust. C'mon so now the sky is falling?
  8. When has Brown stood out in a game & made a statement with his play saying that "I'm The Next One?" I'm still waiting to see it. If Pigrome keeps improving, look out... I like the fact that he has a very good qb coach to work with him as well as Zach Collaros in the QB Meeting Room. I'm hoping he's one of these AQmerican qbs who come up here & gets it quickly like Collaros did when he was an Argo rookie, Doug Flutie as a rookie in BC, Jeff Garcia Dave Dickenson in Calgary, Ricky Ray, Damon Allen, Matt Dunigan & Tracy Ham in Edmonton. What a treat that would be.
  9. Funny how no one here gave Bobby Hull the same benefit of the doubt. There's lots of hypocrites here. Kinew should have been punted by the social justice warriors that call themselves the NDP but he wasn't. So, what he did is there on record. And if you're going to go back a decade & keep bringing up Harper well then, Wab Kinew's past is also open season then. Tracker with the roll eye emoji. Hey Track, BC healthcare is a mess. That's a huge concern for anyone moving out there. As well as people who can't find a family doctor & huge wait times at Emergencies in hospitals. You'd think a political party that supposedly prides itself as a party that stands up for healthcare can screw up so badly is unbelievable.
  10. Pigrome is 25 & not 22 so I think he has more maturity because of his age than some raw rookie qb prospect who typically comes up here show all kinds of promise only to panic on the field forgetting all they were taught & fail. I really think he may be our qb of the future. Not Dru Brown. Who never really shines. He just plays & it's always just okay.
  11. Like Caleb Evans who is now a career backup.
  12. So, voting for a guy who beats up women is okay just because political expediency beats morals & ethics??? Okie dokie. I'll remeber that the next time a pro athlete is convicted & all of you call him scum. Maybe Bobby Hull should have ran for the leadership of the NDP before he died. All of you who villified him here would have voted for him. And, if you think the NDP would do a better job at healthcare just look at the mess in BC right now. Socialists talk a great game only to **** up real good.
  13. Let's see how things shake out after the first few games. You really can't make any judgement based on two exhibition games.
  14. I wonder why no one has picked up Sean Lemon? I figured we might be the team to do it.
  15. In't it a pity? Isn't it a shame? No one ever warned the boy Pro football is a vicious game.
  16. Saw nothing from our defense on that drive. But the rooks are in. So, I guess it's to be expected.
  17. There used to be a rule about that. I guess a dress code is a thing of the past.
  18. So, let me understand this. When the time comes & there's a provincial election in Manitoba, you'll vote for a guy convicted twice for assualting his former partner & charges stayed on a third as Premier just because he isn't conservative? So much for standing up for the safety of women. I guess political expediency makes it okay for a guy to vote for a guy who beats up women.
  19. Dru Brown is what he always is. Not good. Not great. Kinda meh. When he plays it just isn't anything to write home about. But Pigrome has real talent. Gonna be our #3 at least, it seems.
  20. You should worry about Manitoba first. I'm not going to discuss a topic already hashed out by me & Tracker 2 days ago. You can twist things anyway you want. I don't care as you'll do it anyway. So, I suppose you'll vote for the NDP's Wab Kinew who has been convicted twice of domestic violence against his former partner & another charge stayed. Nice choice. Go for it. Vote in a wife beater for manitoba's next Premier. Better than a Nazi. You can sleep easy.
  21. You talk big over here like some kind of keyboard warrior but c'mon, man, we know.... really??? We all know the thought of a criminal record, jail time & losing your job paying you all those big alt right Alberta bucks will stop you cold.
  22. This whole thread is one big ***** fest. It's been a Debbie Downer for years.
  23. Or JCon could just choose to not answer the door & be an asshat. I had both NDP & UCP candidates come to my door & that's what we did. JCon strikes me as a decent & reasonable guy. He may feel like that now but when push comes to shove he'll do what 99% of us do & just ignore the PC candidate in his riding at his door. Or perhaps he'll answer even getting into a discusiion with them telling them how unhappy he is why he won't vote PC. that's what I think he'll do.
  24. What a joke. Harper was a decade ago. Get over it. Your hatred for anything conservative & Pollievre is nothing but political junk. Since you're talking about Trudeau, Harper never had the scandals our current criminal PM has ever had. Like Elbowgate. Aga Khan Scandal. Cultural Appropriation Scandal (India) SNC Lavalin Affair Blackface Scandal, We Charity Scandal, PM Interference In The RCMP Investigation Of The Mass Shooting In Nova Scotia, Six Thousand A Night Hotel Rooms, The ArriveCan Scandal: The app developed for travellers at $80,000 but reportedly cost the federal government $54 million to implement using anonymous subcontractors that can't be named. Allegations of Chinese Interference in the federal elections in 2019 & 2021, Refusing to appoint a federal enquiry into Chinese interference despite revelations that MPs from all parties in the House of Commons have been threatened & targeted. Special Rapporteur David Johnston appointed by Trudeau to investigate these claims reporeted he could find no evidence of political interference from Communist China & recommended no federal enquiry be held. A motion was passed on & voted on in the HOC two days ago for David Johnson to resign as special rapporteur by a count of 174-150. But it is a non binding vote. Johnson has since doubled down saying he won't resign & has the backing of Trudeau. Next scandal: We don't know when but we know it's coming.
