Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news
SpeedFlex27 replied to WinnipegGordo's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Personally, I can't stand Rourke & the continued hype over him. He went to the worst team he could have signed with in Jacksonville. Doug Petersen has no intentions of ever playing him unless total disaster strikes. Let him sit on the PR. And if Rourke is that highly thought of in NFL circles then why wasn't he picked up by another team on waivers? This is twice now. Maybe because he isn't as good as people up here think he is. He's been waived twice & hasn't been claimed. -

If Rourke hadn't taken that unforeseen detour then he'd be nowhere today. He never showed any respect to the CFL. A league that got him to Jax & the NFL. -

He'd probably have been the highest paid qb in the CFL had he stayed. Approaching something like $700,000. maybe more. His choice, Go chase the American dream... -

maybe that's the career Harris wants. To be in CFL management do why not get a start running a junior team? I think he wants to work with young players. -

I've been saying this for years. Easily the worst Commissioner we've ever had & we're stuck with him. He has no idea how to grow the CFL. -

Fixed it for you. -
I hope he does as he is full of himself. However, I believe he'll be wearing a mic next season.

I'll bet some network hires Belichek as an analyst. Suddenly the guy who absolutely despises the media will be a part of it making a 7 figure salary. Spit.
-
Belichek's just a miserable SOB. His curmudgeonly act grew tiresome with the losing, You can do what he does when he wins. But not when he loses as it grows old fast. Brady made this guy.

I find that Campbell's teams are always undisciplined. Talented but they always find a way to shoot themselves in the foot with penalties & selfish players. Campbell just lets it happen, too. Phillips just makes it worse. -
Gonna put this here rather than the RIP Thread so more posters will see it. One of the greatest Blue Bomber DE's who ever played died today. Jim Heighton played 13 seasons in the CFL from 1969 to 81. Including nine with the Bombers from 1970-78 where he was dominant. He was a CFL Western Conference All Star twice in 1972 & 74. He was 79 years of age.

Phil;lip's laughing & carrying on like he's one of the boys on the sidelines when the Lions are winning. He's dour & shaking his head or rolling his eyes when they lose. Acts like an asshat whether the Lions win or lose. -
It should be universal coverage for pharmacare & dental.

Not impressed with Ryan Phillips. Bit of a prima dona on the sidelines. -
Well, hundreds of thousands of families who need it will never qualify. We have universal health care but we can't have universal pharmacare & dental. Singh & Trudeau go on about how this is a generational change. Most families will never see it. A couple with jobs each paying $45-50,000 a year isn't much after inflation & taxes.
-
Politicians... What a sham. Income under $90,000??? So, that'll prevent most Canadian families where couples both have jobs from taking advantage of the plan. Not everyone has a dental plan at work.
