2022/2023 Off-Season (League/Non-Bombers-specific News)
SpeedFlex27 replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The CFL also has to have more fan friendly things for families as well as individual fans during Grey Cup week. There also used to be a CFL thing where there were interactive games going on so that fans could participate. I wasn't in Regina but it seemed like the week of the Cup wasn't really much that didn't create a lot of buzz. Other than the award banquet. Also, I'm thinking along with the new guidelines on alcohol consumption, promoting events like hospitality suites with lots of alcohol involved may not be the best idea anymore. -
Brady sure reminds me of Mike Reilly two years ago. Doesn't smile or engage with his teammates during games. Seems aloof on the sidelines. Unlike Reilly who just looked like playing football became a job that he hated but was quiet, Brady just yells at everyone. Okay, Tom, we all know that you're an *******. If you hate it so much then just go away already.

I thought single game betting was going to be worth $3 mill a year to CFL teams. No one ever talks about whether teams see any money from it. Ambrosie never says anything about it.

Don't go into debt. Ha, ha. Sure.

Can you import the discussion already started? I'd like to buy a pellet smoker. -
What that staffer did was stupid & once he/she are found out will probably be fired. If anyone thinks that this hasn't been done in the past with every government of every party federally & provincially then they're quite naive. Politicians have always interfered with the Rule of Law. These lawyers & academics huffing & puffing saying we're a country that relies on Rule of Law is a joke. We aren't equal & never have been.

I did as well. For 30 years. I don't anymore. Just too much of a hassle grilling in winter. And with the cost of propane I just wait till March. -

I prefer soft bacon. We preheat our oven to 350 degrees. Then put the bacon on a small tray. Let it bake for 10 minutes. Comes out nicely cooked but soft & not crispy. If you want crispy you'll have to cook it longer. Cooking times vary but it depends on the thickness of the bacon so always check while cooking. -

No, please give me your thoughts as I'm interested. You've used it so you're the best one to ask. -

I never heard of sous vide until now. So, I googled it. Vacuum packaging meat & then cooking in water. Is it pressurized?? I have a 13L Sur La Table from Cosco. It was $167 before Xmas when I bought it. I love using it. I wish I had a bigger one. We roasted a small chicken in it last Saturday. Turned out great. -

My air fryer has a broiling option with a timer. I just push a button & the air fryer does the rest. I also broil chops but add about 4 minutes more per side. Steak 6 minutes per side & chops about 10 minutes. Chops come out fully cooked. Steak, of course depends on the thickness of the cut. I've got chops that are 2 inches thick. Some people use a meat thermometer. I've cooked for a long time so I rely on look & feel of the meat. -

At Xmas, I bought an air fryer. It's capacity is 13L . We've cooked steaks, pork chops, chicken thighs, wings & drumsticks. on it. Everything we've done has turned out great. Yesterday I cooked chicken legs for the first time & holy smokes were they good. They were done to perfection & moist. I know what I'm making for the Super Bowl. -

Lots of mistakes were made on both sides of the vaccine issue. Is that **** supposed to drag on for years or can we just put it behind us & move on??? Except if you're Theo Fleury who has gone mad. -
Sad news indeed. Wear your seatbelts, people.

My reaction to Tui Eli signing a 3 year deal! -
If the Jets want to be considered serious contenders then they have to really bear down & beat teams like Montreal. It seems we can beat anyone in the Western Conference but once we go on the road to the East we can't win. Except for the Pittsburgh game which was a pleasnst surprise. It would suck to win the West & then get swept four straight by Boston.

Even though surgical techniques have improved, it's still hard to overcome an Achilles tear injury. -

He was slowed down by DL that couldn't stop the inside run like they could in 2021 with Stove. We had a lot of injuries at LB because of it. Upgrade the tackle positions & we'll be alright.
