  1. If Vince McMahon comes back as CEO then I know I won't be watching anymore.
  2. Careful what you wish for. New hired gun in town as GM. Dave is smart & cold blooded like Wally. Looks like he won't overpay for any of his older veterans.
  3. Watching Walker crying while walking to the locker room asking himself how he could be so stupid was worth it for me. The problem is that these pro athletes are so damned entitled thinking they can behave whatever the way they want is the problem. If I was Matt LeFleur, he's cut the next day.

  5. Get vaccinated & stay current Keep practicing social distancing Wear a mask if you feel you must in public Carry & use hand sanitizer in public Then get on with your life as there isn't anything more you can do. Restrictions aren't coming back.
  6. Amazing that a country of what 3 billion allows one strong man (Xi Jing Pin) to run rampant over their lives...
  7. Getting out while the getting's good.
  8. Or what??? I've been hired as the new private qb coach for Russell Wilson. I leave for Denver on Monday. We're hopeful.
  9. Jeezus, I didn't say Streveler was a failure. He's in the NFL, right? I just think he'll never be a starter full time. Yes, that was a very nice throw.
  10. Accuracy. He can't make the throws a lot of qbs can in the NFL. Throwing into quick & tight widows. I've never seen him do that. Either as a Bomber or in the NFL. He can hit a receiver if he's open but if he has to put it into a tight spot or dropping the ball into a receivers hands downfield in coverage. Never seen him do it.
  11. I still can't get over Clark's speech at the CFL Awards.... "No quarterback was hurt in the making of this speech". Hey, CoFaj - ***** slap.
  12. Based on Saleh's comments about Streveler it doesn't look like much has changed.
  13. The Rider OL was one of the worst I've ever seen. As bad as the Bomber OL in 2013 & 14. He was the coach. It fell on him.
  14. Run over a tackler. He's offensive line coach with the Elks.
  15. So, for the sake of discussion let's say you're right (& you know I respect your opinion) then the question has to be asked, why isn't Streveler starting in 2023? Why is it such a struggle for him to get playing time on every team he plays? Coaches want to win. Sure, if they draft a qb in the first or second round they'll give him every opportunity to start because of the huge monetary investment they'd have in a high qb draft pick. But there comes a time when even a high draft pick has to perform & if he doesn't he's replaced. Strev seemed to outplay every other qb with the Jets in the pre season & on TNF a few weeks ago yet he always remains either on the PR or is Number 3. No matter what he does. Robert Saleh isn't stupid. Saleh's not secure as a HC in New York so he needs a qb he feels he can win with. Doesn't look like it's Streveler. He appears to have very little confidence in him. He's only played in one game this season. Even the ancient Joe Flacco was ahead of him on the Jets depth chart last game.
  16. But they would still have a better chance of playing than a qb who can't.
  17. Calling Chris Streveler the second best CFL qb (if he played up here today) is a huge stretch. I know what he can & can't do as like all of you I've watched him for the past 5 seasons. His throwing isn't what kept him in the NFL & before that the CFL but his guile, athleticism & leadership abilities have. To say I have a hate on for the guy because I believe he has deficiencies throwing the ball is both ludicrous & unfair. He has always had quirky footwork which affects the rest of his throwing mechanics on his platform. He had a hard time feeling pressure in the pocket when he played for the Bombers so LaPo took away that problem. Used his running ability to work wonders making plays. One would hope his pocket awareness has improved with his time in the NFL but it's hard to tell with his lack of playing time down there. A good NFL qb today has to develop different arm slots. To be able to position his arm in different slots to throw over & around oncoming defenders in his face. I haven't seen that from him. He does have a high arm slot so he would be at a disadvantage over other NFL qbs in certain situations. Streveler can throw with authority when he has to & can hit a receiver within his catch radius but I haven't seen him make the accurate "small window only open for a few seconds" throws during his time in the NFL or with the Jets. It's hard to tell how much he's improved since 2019 as his playing time has been so limited. You mentioned his 61% completion average & I believe you. I think it's so because he has a set number of packaged plays that he can use in a game that suits his style of play. Historcally, that seems to be his story as a Bomber, Cardinal & Jet. However, if he had to use the entire playbook where would he be? He might be in trouble. He can't play the way Zach Collaros does for example. When Jets HC Robert Saleh said he put him in to provide a spark that's exactly what he was talking about. He wanted a change up. Like a relief pitcher in baseball, Streveler can be effective in that kind of a role. If he was destined to be a starter he'd be on a team somewhere now pushing the Number 1 qb for playing time but that isn't the case. Hell, if Saleh thought he could be a legit NFL starter don't you think he'd have elevated him already?? Saleh wants to win to keep his job. He sees Streveler throw everyday & it's obvious he doesn't believe he's a starter. Streveler is continually fighting just to be a number two guy on the qb depth chart & usually Number 3 on every NFL team he's been on. Sometimes even #4. And to be clear, just because I think Streveler has deficiencies throwing the ball doesn't mean I don't like him. I do as he's exciting to watch. Strev got his pension & good for him. That's awesome. However, the reality of the situation is that if he was a legit NFL starter or a serious #2 he'd have been one by now. He isn't. I admire what Streveler's done & hope that his career in the NFL continues. I just don't think he'll ever be a starter. But poor guy making $2 mill a year backing up some NFL hotshot.... What a life as he's still won the lottery, so to speak. Once again, he worked hard to get to the NFL & stay. I hope it continues. Not every pro qb can be a starter.
  18. Making players wear proper protection, that is properly sized pads & getting away from undersized pads to show off their tatts & muscles maybe this wouldn't have happened. Oh yeah & making sure helmets are properly inflated & can't be put on or taken off like they were baseball caps would be a start.
  19. C'mon, man. What player have you watched the past 4 years? He has issues with accuracy & arm strength.
  20. We don't know what happened.
  21. As fans, we forget how players put their bodies on the line on every play. These guys play hard & bad things can happen so quickly on the field. Football isn't a contact sport. It's a collision sport & the physical dangers that come with that. Much respect to the courage it takes for each man on every team to play the game at the pro level. My prayers go out to Damar Hamlin that he survives & has a full recovery.
