  1. What is a Getty King? Thankfully, there are fewer of these Trump asshats in Congress than before.
  2. They did a great job murdering a hundred people who burned to death in an apartment building because some Communist official took it upon himself to padlock the building from the outside. Don't tell me how wonderful that regime is with Covid. Xi Ping & the CCP are cold blooded killers. What he did should be enough to bring the government down. Hopefully, someday these thugs & criminals will be in jail. All of them.
  3. Politics. Wilson was drafted & Streveler is a free agent signing. If Strev could throw he'd be a starter down there. He can't make all the throws. Same issues as always. Just like Tim Tebow. There is a coaching term for throwing off balance. Once a qb leaves the pocket & throws on the run it's now called "throwing off platform". Collaros has changed his throwing fundamaentals. He throws the New Way as it's being called as it's so new. Just like Mahomes, Burrows, Hurts, Murray, Tua in Miami, Rodgers, Herbert & Wilson do. He made the change & has really found success with the Bombers. Kids now want to throw like that. They're being trained to do so.
  4. Watch a game from the 60's with 6 teams. Or with 12. Quality of play was outstanding,. The 80's were all out offense. No defense.
  5. Hellebuyck is considered one of the top goalies in the NHL & yet he gives up way too many of these shitty goals & they are momentum killers. Every damn time. Fans today say that goalies today are better than their counterparts from years ago but I don't believe it. I watched the NHL since I was a kid. There's absolutely no way goalies like Dryden, Cheevers, Esposito, Meloche, Bower, Giacomin, Hall, Plante, Sawchuk, Crozier gave up so many bad goals so often. Those guys could go years without giving up garbage goals like that. But today's NHL is all about 6'5 inch goalies that flop around on their knees trying to block shots with their oversized pads only to get beat high on the stick side.
  6. Zach Wilson is a brutal qb. He got his money. He should give it back.
  7. Being cut twice before & at age 27 he might be in tough.
  8. Now, now. The Chinese said that Covid was never cooked up in a Chinese lab in Wuhan. Or that the virus escaped the lab. Whatever the Communist Chinese say, we believe.
  9. Being a qb who becomes a coach after his playing days doesn't guarantee his success either. Your Fajardo analogy could be right or could be wrong. He might be a failure or he may be a success. Recycling coaches just gives us the same old stuff. Every team runs the same typr of plays. Nothing new or innovative. Bringing in a guy like Allen would be an interesting decision for sure. Just to be clear, I'm simply playing the role of Devil's Advocate here for discussion purposes only. A head coach has to want to bring Damon Allen in. So far, no one has even considered him for any coaching position in the CFL. I'm not advocating for Allen. I don't know & have never met him. It's just an interesting thing to talk about. A Head Coach would only do this if he knew Allen & was confident in his abilities to put together a competent playbook & call the plays.
  10. Whatever happens, happens. I'm getting tired of panic setting in everytime a headline or story comes out like this. I get my flu as well as Covid booster shots, I carry hand sanitizer & try to stay away from crowds unless it's outdoors like a Bomber game. That's all I can do. I'm getting on with my life. My hope is Xi Ping catches Covid & croaks. Now, that would be good news.
  11. Another Touchdown Atlantic with the same two teams as last year. Why?? The Maritimes will never have a team so what a waste of time. The Mayor of Halifax says no government at any level in the Maritimes will fund a proper stadium & yet there's the lying Randy Ambrosie pushing expansion ignoring the fact there's no ownership group & he was rebuffed publicly. What a useless waste of skin Ambrosie is.
  12. Chinese government arrogance finally has cost them. No sympathy from me.
  13. To me, you kinda did. Pimball had no management experience either & did more than okay doing that as well. I'm sure with his size he had to put up with guys like you constantly telling him he was too small to play football at any level. let alone coach & manage. My point is, why not give Allen a shot? A decision to hire him would upset the apple cart, no doubt but who wants the same recycled coaches changing teams every couple of years? What value do they have other than having "experience"???
  14. Harry Enns? That was 60 years ago.
  15. I've been saying for years here on this forum that the CFL doesn't do enough for the grassroots level of football in this country. Our Commissioner is a failure. Totally useless. But I'm told I'm just a hater....
  16. No HC will just let his coordinators go carte blanche without his input or control. Colin implied that indeed Pinball was clueless. That other than being a motivator he just took up space on the sidelines & in meetings. That others did the work & he got the credit.
  17. Come on, Colin. A Head Coach doesn't teach but he has to know the plays on both sides of the ball. That's up to the coordinators (unless he's one himself) but he can't be clueless. He has to have credibility with his players.
  18. AC hasn't burned the league up as an OC. He seems to be a conservative OC taking the safe play over the big play although he has the weapons in Montreal to be that big play team with Eugene Lewis, Hergi Mayala, Jake Weineke & Tyson Philpot. I think he needs to still be calling the plays & be a success before he moves up to a HC position. Didn't Maas wina GC as OC in Ottawa with Hank Burris as his qb?
  19. I personally know Craig & I've talked to him about Damon Allen in the past a number of times. At first, I didn't agree with him about Allen being an OC but we have coaches that bounce from team to team & are part of the Old Boy's Newtwork. They get jobs because they know people in the league on different teams. Now I think, why not? I mean, could he be worse than Jason Maas? Or the unknown OC in Saskatchewan? Maybe but maybe not. As far as bouncing around as a player, Ellis said he was the kind of guy who spoke his mind & some head coaches took exception to it. He especially didn't like Jack Gotta & Bob O'Bilovich. He admits his attitude as a player has probably contributed to him not being in the CFHOF. His numbers say he is a Hall of Famer. That's all that should count.
  20. I think Allen has to take the blame. He never got into coaching when he retired 15 years ago. Now, at age 59 he wanrts to be a coordinator. He should have done what Buck Pierce did, Start from the bottom as a running back coach & work his way up. I think he waited too long to decide he wants to be a CFL OC.
  21. That just seems to be the way coaches coach now. Take Ryan Dinwiddie. There were a few fights on the Argos sidelines this season & he just seemed oblivious to it every time it happened. It's like coaches are encased in a bubble all around them & no one can talk to them. Allen still won Grey Cups with something like 4 different teams & put up big passing numbers. I get what you say as when he played at times he looked like he didn't seem to care if he won or lost but the championships count for a lot. I just think that was his personality.
  22. I agree. Allen has to want to take a role as a qb coach & go from there. His age is a factor as perhaps he has 10 years where he can contribute although there are examples of coaches who have coached well into their 70's. The most notable was probably **** LeBeau who retired at age 77.
