  1. Look what happened to Steve Richardson. Injured twice while working out.
  2. He wouldn't get a small paycheque but it would be pro rated. Playing & winning a championship is important. Sign a contract, play for us & try again next year. That's me, though... If i was as talented as Desjarlais, I'd find sitting & waiting very difficult.
  3. A serious foot injury like this is life altering. It's a big deal. Player safety is player safety whether it's a brain or foot injury.
  4. Well, most of us laugh out loud at what you post here so carry on.
  5. Always the same players. There should be an escalating scale for repeatr offenders. Half a game salary doesn't seem to be much of a deterrent for these players. These things never seem to be addressed in collective bargaining as both parties wait too long to negotiate & are under the gun to get a deal done.
  6. Meanwhile Drew Desjarlais waits for a phone call that may never come. Like that REALLY GREAT job interview we've all had & thinking we nailed it!!!Then waiting... for... that... phone... call... that... never.... came.
  7. The Lions & Campbell are so damned desperate. The kid ain't ready. The other thing is Rourke himself & especially his agent. The guy wants an NFL shot so why risk a permanent long term injury? Especially for the money they're paying him which is peanuts. NFL teams shut their players down for a year after this injury happens. Everyone associated with this injury are stupid here. Like Booch says, okay play the kid. It's on all of them if something bad happens.
  8. FIFY. And the Lions seem to be rushing Rourke. Trying to get him back this season.
  9. Austin's reaction is anti Bombers. He doesn't want to acknowledge that they are the best team in the CFL. Also, he doesn't want any players to win post season awards or for the team to win their third straight Grey Cup. He'd give the MOP award to Rourke with 9 games instead of Collaros with a bigger body of work.
  10. It's sooooooo hard to watch 2 East Division teams. They play such crappy ball. He's out of his boot throwing.
  11. BC playing at Winnipeg in the cold? I like our chances.
  12. When Austin said Rourke is the MOP & that he was absolutely right, then he said "fight me" , I immediately called him out for picking Rourke after just 9 games. He never even acknowledged my tweet nor did he do any fighting. Then he posted another tweet saying the MOC should only be eligible if a player played a certain number of games. He never said how many. Which is the exact opposite for his criteria regarding the MOP award. Which he says shouldn't have a minimum amount of games played to be eligible. So, in other words, a different set of criteria for the MOC over the MOP. When called out on that by his followers, he claimed he was only kidding. Austin always tries to be the smartest guy in the room when he clearly isn't.
  13. Bryant, Harris, Bighill & Collaros.
  14. No, actually he's not. That is the new way qbs are being taught to throw. I'm not going to get into the techniques & fundamentals but he looks good throwing the ball. The thing of it is, it's one thing to throw in practice with no rush. It's quite another when he's under a full rush. Then we'll see how quick he is. How his foot reacts when he's trying to go at 100% & if he gets reinjured. He has screws, plates & other hardware in his foot & they take months to heal. The Lions trying to play mind games & getting other teams worried, Like Noeller said, whatever. We really don't know what the timeline is for him to be back. If they rush it, he'll get hurt. Simple as that.
  15. Dumb asses in the media think so. If they do that & give Rourke the MOP award then they might as well open it up to the fans as the so called experts have really ****** up the awards. media like danny Austin aren't as smart as they'd like to think.
  16. If Lawler wants to come back & I think he does then he'll have to take a hundred thousand dollar pay cut. You don't win paying a receiver the kind of $$$ Lawler got in Edmonton. I think we can also consider Schoen gone after this season & he would have wanted a huge raise.
  17. Not according to Austin. The media is ga ga over Rourke. Ridiculous.
  18. Postmedia's Danny Austin who covers the Stamps for the Calgary Sun & Herald has tweeted he's voting for Rourke as MOP & MOC based on 9 games. Nine freakimg games. Forget what Collaros or anyone else has done grinding out 18 games. If Austin is indicative of the 9 or 10 media people who cover the CFL then Rourke will clean up. As unfair as it is.
  19. He had Drew Willy syndrome. Once he gets out, he faces a long road to recovery. I hope he does leave & does well. Look at thei Riders history of getting rid of great qbs who were failing while playing for them. Tom Burgess was a backup to Kent Austin when the Riders won their second Grey Cup. He came to Winnipeg a year later & won the Grey Cup with the Bombers. Hank Burris played a couple of seasons in Saskatchewan being signed after he was cut by the Chicago Bears. When he became a free agent he signed with the Stamps & won a Grey Cup with them in 2008. Tom Clements won a Grey Cup for us in 84 & he only lasted half a season with the Riders before being traded in mid 1979 to the Ticats.. Then Zach Collaros, The Riders didn't want thim so they traded him to Toronto for basically a bag of used footballs in 2019. I'd love it if Fajardo went to another team & he found success as the gap toothers would be wondering why their qbs find success elsewhere.
  20. Collaros would be pushing up daisies. Rourke would have injured both feet. Aaron Rodgers would have turned into an angry hermit in the Wisconsin backwoods.
  21. Losing teams have attitudes like this. I doubt the Bombers are afraid of neither. The Ti Cats had their Grey Cup three weeks ago. It won't happen twice.
