  1. Not including work as its mandatory. I mean, in a movie theatre or restaurant. At a Bomber game. At a concert in an indoor venue. Stuff like that. That is not helpful. And I think if that is what you do then that is great.
  2. I just looked at how ridiculous it was to continue masking when others stopped. I held in there masking for a long time after most stopped. After awhile, science or not, it just seemed pointless. I think most people feel the same way so they stopped.
  3. Do you mask everywhere constantly? Do you mask constantly in public to protect other kids? By constantly, I mean everywhere. When you are out in public?
  4. Well, how do you explain the fact 99.9% of people don't mask up? I don't think they go out everyday wanting to hurt kids. I'm going for physiotherapy on my shoulder. The clinic is in a recreational complex that has two arenas. Before school started, lots of little kids running around while their older brothers & sisters also under 12 were going to hockey clinics or practice. Employees weren't masking. Coaches weren't masking. Parents weren't masking. Nor were others in that complex. No one wore a mask. It is what it is.
  5. Nor do I. At all CFL games, I see virtually no one masking. Go to a mall. Where's the masking? Restaurants? No one masking. People can still mask if they want to.
  6. Hate? C'mon man. That's ridiculous.
  7. My wife & I went to see Steve Earle & The Dukes up in Edmonton at the River Cree Casino & Resort on the First Nations Reserve. Huge complex with a hotel, casino, four or 5 restaurants & an entertainment venue where the Dukes played. Probably 3,000 people there easily as it was packed. I was concerned about Covid at the time but I never got sick. No one was wearing a mask. We had dinner at one of the restaurants before the show. No one wore a mask. Went to the casino after the show & no one wore a mask. We can talk about protecting each other & it sounds so noble. Thing of it is, if no one cares enough to wear a mask to protect me then I sure as hell ain't wearing a mask to protect anyone else. I'll continue to get my vaccinations. I'll follow whatever rules an establishment has in regards to masking. If I have to mask up, I will with no complaints. But my days of voluntarily wearing a mask in public are over. I think governments will be loathe to bring back restrictions. In other words, if people want to wear masks they will be free to do so. If people don't want to then they won't have to. We're moving into another phase of the pandemic & how it'll be handled.
  8. I understand. Thing is, how many fans at Saturday's football game will be masked. A few hundred? Maybe?? Go to a mall, a grocery store or restaurant. In public no one masks anymore. My attitude is whatever. I 've done all I can. I follow the rules. I vaccinated 4 times. But if 99.999% of people don't mask, my wearing a mask means nothing. I just gave up.
  9. I just can't see any provincial governments forcing any restrictions anymore. I think that ship has sailed. The only way that'll happen is if the healthcare system is overrun which could happen. Most people seem to catch Covid & it's gone in a few days. Brandon is right. People are acting like it's 2018 & not 2022. Myself? I've had 4 shots, the most recent June 20th. When I qualify, I'll get a 5th. I no longer mask. What's the point of masking anymore, anyway? If no one else does.
  10. I remember being happy for all the posters here & young Bomber fans everywhere that were born after 1990 who never saw their team win a championship & experience the feeling of winning a Grey Cup. Honestly, that made me feel good. Twenty nine years is a long time to just go on faith.
  11. TSN's Dave Naylor tweeted this morning that Randy Ambrosie told all CFL teams that he would not approve & register a contract for Marino if anybody tried to sign him. I'm sure this was sent out to remind Chris Jones to not even try. I wasn't sure last night, but Ambrosie's latesty directive to GM & Head Coaches that he won't register a contract for Marino shows the CFL wanted him gone. This definitely appears to be a CFL initiative. Dave Naylor @TSNDaveNaylor Hearing that a memo has gone-out from CFL commissioner @RandyAmbrosie regarding Garrett Marino, reminding teams that he can refuse to register any player contract for any reason deemed valid. Presumably the valid reason in this instance would be player safety. #CFL #Riders
  12. I sure hope so.
  13. I just watched it at home with my wife & when the game was over, I exclaimed, "Oh my God, we won!!!" And started bawling my eyes out after realizing that awful 29 year wait was finally over. It was such a relief!! That win meant the world to me because at age 64 back then, I was starting to worry that I'd never see another Blue Bomber Grey Cup championship in my lifetime.
  14. We saw the pushback publicly from media & fans in July when Massoli was severely injured by Marino. The outrage his injury caused made the CFL give him the longest suspension in CFL history. Jeremiah Massoli & even his Mother called the CFL out for its relative inaction after his injury which was an embarassment for the league. The CFLPA even backed down defending Marino probably from seeing the public anger & advising him to not appeal the suspension. You have to think that Randy Ambrosie on behalf of the BOG's saw the hit on Collaros & were very concerned about losing another qb or star player from this guy. With Massoli & Rourke out long term the CFL can't afford to lose any more star players like Collaros. It's pretty obvious that Marino didn't get the message after serving his suspension as he continued to be penalized. I can't prove it but I think Jeremy O'Day got a call from the Commissioner telling him something needed to be done. No more Craig Dickenson defending Marino. No more coddling. No more saying he's being treated unfairly. Just a message from the Commissioner to do something & get it done now. Like I said, I'm no CFL Insider but I believe that's what happened. Now the question is, will Chris Jones or any other team pick up Garrett Marino? Is he worth the distraction that no doubt will come with his signing? Would even Chris Jones want a giant headache like that on his team? Guess we'll see.
  15. Riders cut that POS Marino this evening.
  16. That 2001 team had a lot of arrogant blowhards playing for them with their heads in the clouds. Dave Ritchie refused to bring them back down to Earth & tell them to shut up. The 2001 Bombers were the same as the Ti Cats in 2019 thinking the Stamps would just lay down & let them win. Well, all that preening, arrogance & trash talk fired up the Stamps who still had a large core of veteran players from the 98 & 99 Grey Cup games who were insulted. We lost that game by Wednesday of Grey Cup week. Everytime I think of that 2001 Grey Cup game, i still get angry. It didn't have to happen!! The 2022 addition of the Bombers aren't anything like the 2001 team. they atre much more mature. We have a team that has won back to back championships. They approach game preparation totally different. All business. They don'r mouth off. They respect their opponents. If any of today's Bombers acted the way some of the 2001 Bombers did in the media that year, I think Mike O'Shea & veterans like Stanley Bryant, Pat Neufeld, Adam Bighill & Brandon Alexander would put a stop to it. O'Shea's teams aren't bombastic.
  17. Rot in jail? I hope the cops take him out.
  18. I think the PA is going to wash its hands of the guy. They told him not to appeal the 4 game suspension.
  19. I don't think Matty likes to be talked to like that. No one does. He held it together fairly well, I thought. BTW, any ownership change would upset the players. Anew owner comes in & does he change mgmt & coaches either right then or during the off season? Some players have close relationships with their coaches & would naturally worry if an ownership change was made. So, just going & balling out like Stegall said the Als players need to do isn't right, either.
  20. I wonder what happens on the panel after they go off the air? Does Matty go after Milt for making him sound silly with his ownership upsets the locker room talk. Dunigan was clearly getting flustered with Stegall mocking him. Sanchez whispered something to Bierness while the other 2 went at it & then tried to defuse the situation by cracking a joke. Stamps starting to pull away... 22-8.
  21. He would have been a better be all & end all than Evans. He's younger & probably a bit cheaper so it made sense at the time to keep him. Hasn't worked out well, though.
  22. Handing out discipline should be one of his most important jobs. If he doesn't care why should the rest of the league? The tourist hit on Collaros wasn't hard enough??? WTF?? Officials need to be better before another starting qb goes down.
