  1. I responded to Ryan Ballantyne's whining. **** him.
  2. It's clear that the national media covering the CFL sure don't like us. The Stamps having more all stars, Rourke is Canada's superstar, etc. I hope that all this does fire the Bombers up to give the finger to some of those media guys. As well as winning the game.
  3. Maybe this will fire him up.
  4. It was almost embarassing listening to the narrator roll off the stats between the two when their highlights were being played last night. The comparables were nil.
  5. But if there is then Rourke has to take responsibility for his foot not healing properly. As well as the Lions surgical & medical staff if they gave him advice that he can play before he was ready.
  6. Or Friday night. Without the CFL there'd be no facilities. Besides, how many fans go to a U Sports game? A couple of thousand? Even their conference championship games & Vanier Cup draw small crowds. I wish.
  7. I wish Ambrosie would just get into his car & drive away never to be seen again. He just sucks the life out of everything CFL.
  8. More one way than the other. It benefits Rourke much more.
  9. Dan Clark: "No qb was sacked while writing this speech." Lol.
  10. Without the Lions signing Rourke where would he be? Do you think he'd have a dozen NFL clubs wanting to work him out? Rourke was undrafted. He never even got a sniff as a free agent from the NFL when he left Ohio. So, without the CFL his football days would be over, Collaros said the same thing last night. Without the CFL, he said he has no idea what he'd be doing with his life other than living somewhere in the Ohio Valley right now. That is pretty powerful stuff. The CFL changed both those young men's lives just by being here. It's a league where they could play at an extremely high level. Collaros at 34 understands it because his career is almost over. Rourke, maybe he does or maybe he doesn't get it yet at 24 because his career is just starting. However, he will someday when he looks back on his playing days after he retires. I was critical of Rourke (maybe) missing the CFL Awards based on a story I read so I was glad he was there to accept the MOC award. He made a nice speech.
  11. I noticed when Ambrosie came out to give out the Commissioner's Award the muted applause. Sounded like just his family were clapping & even they weren't enthusiastic. The majority of players & fans don't like him.
  12. The Rider guy.
  13. Well, there was a story yesterday where it said that he may miss the Awards for an NFL workout. I'm glad he's there. That is the right thing to do. Once it's okay for players to skip league awards for personal matters relating to something not related to health or family that'll be the end of it.
  14. What? Now I've heard everything.
  15. No, WTH? That's not life. Life is battling cancer. Life is having a divorce. Life is losing a loved one. Life is watching your child graduate from high school. Life is walking your daughter down the aisle at her wedding. Life is holding your infant son for the very first time. That's life. Not a ******* workout for the Philadelphia Eagles. That's a business decision. The CFL gave him his shot so show some apprexiation to the league that got him those tryouts. The Ti cats yapped in 2019. Look what happened. Their qb threw a temper tantrum. Their receiver begged his coach not to give him the ball as much & by game time he was in jured crying on the bench. They got punched in the mouth. We do what we do.
  16. Heard that Nathan Rourke may not be at the CFL Awards to pick up his MOC Award that he'll probably win. Busy doing NFL workouts. Not a good look snubbing the awards if he misses them. Rourke should thank his lucky stars for the CFL if he gets his NFL shot because the NFL didn't think enough of him to get drafted. The CFL got him his shot & being grateful means showing up in front of his peers to accept the award to say thank you.
  17. Lots of snow but not on the playing field & highs forecast of minus 2.
  18. Beating the living snot out of the 5 time defensing champs in 1983 was so much fun. I'd never seen the Eskimos look so disorganized until this game. Warren Moon looked intimidated by the Bomber D.
  19. Dinwiddie wins games in a weak division but he can't control his players. Way overrated. He'd be a 4-14 coach in the better West Division.
  20. Zach's going to play. He doesn't need to practice so they're giving the ankle some more time to heal. That's a good way to manage this injury.
  21. I was at that game & just revelled in it. Knowing those guys wouldn't win a 6th consecutive championship felt great leaving the stadium. You could see the Bombers were building something great under GM paul Robson & HC Cal Murphy.
  22. We must revenge the 1950 Mud Bowl loss. We must.
  23. I hated, I mrean HATED the Eskimos from 78-82 when they won 5 Grey Cups in a row. They started with Tom Wilkinson & then Warren Moon replaced him as Capatain of the ship. The Esks dominated regular seasons during that time. No matter what the Bombers did or how well they played in the Western Final we just couldn't beat them. I almost destroyed my parents TV set one year in anger after a frustrating loss when I had a complete meltdown after we lost the 82 Western Final. It's hard to believe but now I look back 40 years later & admire that team for having such a dynasty that lasted so long. They were a great team. i still think the Bombers were as good as Edmonton was & we'd have won Grey Cups had we been able to beat them in the WDF but we never did so they got all the credit.
