With the way the Als are losing money, I'd doubt it. The Lions are desperate. O'Connor can't lead that Lions team & Pipkin plays like a pumpkin. The Als now have the Lions first round pick. The Ford Motor Company threatened to sue the Stamps back in 1968 when they started to use the white horse logo. I also rememeber a story where Rogers Lehew, then GM of the Stampeders back in 1968 introduced the current horse logo on Stamps helmets which was a trademark infrigement upon Southern Methodist University which had the horse first. Please read the story. There was a local ownership group fronted by former Alouette player Eric Lapointe but Ambrosie didn't want them. He clearly favoured ownership from out of Montreal. Like those 2 movie producer brothers from Hollywood. Yeah, that would have worked out well. Montreal Gazette writer Herb Zurkowsky has covered the Als for decades. He knows the team.
