That's a lifetime ago even if it's true. The NFL is a juggernaut. The NHL isn't. The CFL already competes with the NHL in weekends in October & November on weekends now anyway.

Why the CFL wants to compete with the NFL on Sundays during the playoffs make no sense. Plus not having the games on network tv like CTV really hurts. The goal should be maximum exposure for the CFL but I dunno the way this league is run.

Claybrooks, yeah. I don't think I've ever seen a HC look so lost.... errr... forgot Tim Burke. Like Burke, he never came back to the CFL. I think that tells you something right there. The jump from a coordinator to HC is huge. I don't think those 2 guys had any idea what they were getting themselves into at the time. And just how bad of an experience they had. I think Claybrooks may now be coaching in the BCFC somewhere.

The key here is good at his role. No idea if he can run a team instead of being part of one.

Yep, for years all Canadian qbs asked for was to be treated like any other player & make the rules worthwhile to develop Canadians at the qb position. So what happens? Rourke comes along & Brandon Bridge before him & TSN is falling over themselves trying to hype & find catchy nicknames for them. It's become a circus. Ron Lancaster almost 30 years ago predicted this very thing. Except he said teams would be hesitant to develop Caandian qbs bvecause of the way the media would act & then the fans because of them. So much hype that a lot of teams wouldn't want to develop a Canadian qb because of the massive distraction it would become if he found success.

This Kid Canada **** we hear Rourke being called. Just like Brandon Bridge was called Air Canada. TSN trying to promote these players but in a way fans from other teams start to hate them because that's all TSN's Suitor & Dunigan want to talk about. So sick of hearing about Rourke.

A lot of coaches sweat the small stuff so much that they out think themselves. This is what happened yesterday. As Dustin Nielsen pointed out, "BC Place is,,, JAM PACKED!!!" No, it wasn't. Not even close. I think BC stays with VA. he's signed to a long term contract with them. I think he's their insurance marker. If Rourke leaves he takes over. If Rourke comes back they trade him.

Evans started the third quarter. That first drive went nowhere & he was sacked. Starts ratching out as he storms off the field. Marty Scianetti reported that Steinhauer benched him as he was carrying on at the Hamilton sideline yelling. So, Evans shows his true colours by blaming his blocking for his bad play. And his head coach takes Evans out of the game as he lost his freaking mind. I think Evans has played his last game as a Ti Cat. I just can't see Steinhauer wanting him back next season. Steinhauer gave Evans the keys to the Bentley & he wrecked it by driving into a ravine. Had Steinhauer given the start to Matthew Schilz the Cats may have won this game. I could see Schilz starting next season in Hamilton. He certainly has paid his dues & learned the CFL game. Benched the guy. Good.. If I was one of his OL I'd want to squash that little bug.

Not a good look look??? Thirty three thousand people will be showing up. Should there be a massive traffic jam around the stadium., instead? Now, it'll be the big, bad, uncaring Blue Bombers bullying people with disabilities. This event should never have been booked. that day. Everyone knew after Labour Day the team would finish first. This group just can't expect to be automatically accomodated. Sometimes the only solution is the harshest one. They have to leave.

If you pay them really well, people will take jobs.
