  1. Waaaaaay too early for this. Damn, you'll jinx us.
  2. Apparently, since I got a smallpox vaccination when I was a kid, I'm supposed to be immune to Monkeypox. Sometimes there's an advantage to being old.
  3. LaPo is just a bad HC. RedBlacks gotta make a change.
  4. If Stern takes flack then maybe he'll do something to get those damned horn out of the stadium. Or give Ambrosie &/or TSN ****.
  5. What's funny is that Bo Levi didn't become the all time Stamps leading passer.
  6. I like her. She's good at her job. He's done. Put LaPo out of his misery.
  7. 1. Dalton Schoen. Picks up the slack for the absence of Ellingson. They can talk all they want about Gino Lewis but he's the best receiver in the CFL right now. 2. Brady Oliveira. some timely runs when we needed them. He's starting to round into form. In another 5-6 weeks, the weather will start to get cooler & we'll need our run game to be strong. 3. Winston Rose. Best game so far this season. Now he looks like the player we all remember. HH. Janarion Grant & Nick Hallett (tie). Grant is so dangerous on kick returns as the Als found out. Was it 31 yards he picked up on that screen pass where he blew thru the Als defense late in the 4th qtr? Like the Als defenders were standing still. I never heard Nick Hallet's name much tonight which means he was doing something right as a safety. He doessn't look out of place back there. I thought he deserved a mention.
  8. No, the one that goes HONK! HONK! HONK! all game long.
  9. I sure hope it wasn't an Alouette employee doing that as that would be a black eye on the league. If it was a fan in the stands & he was sitting near me, I'd want to kill him for constantly blowing that horn.
  10. Then the Als send out a tweet telling viewers to quit texting them as they like the horn. This is why the CFL is so Mickey Mouse at times.
  11. I'm amazed the CFL allows that damned horn all game.
  12. Okay, Thanks for the explanation. Appreciate it. I just remember the days when the Bomber Head Coach, be it Jim Spavital, Bud Riley, Ray Jauch or even Cal Murphy would be asked a question about one of their injured players & they'd say, "So & so has torn knee ligaments. Out for the season". Or there'd be a press release that would say, "_________ has a separated left shoulder & is expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks". As Bob Dylan sang, "For the times, they are a changing", Guess I gotta get with the program. FIFO.
  13. It's very strange that Smono broke every crapstick button on every broad with his furry membranes.
  14. Draft & develop players for other teams, you mean. Edmonton get the same weather as we do. Minnesota is no screaming hell in winter, either. I've been in Minneapolis in Deeember for a few Vikings games & it's just as cold. I'd like to see if a new GM would have the same philosphy. Of course, until Sleepy leaves we'll never find out.
  15. I bought 2 seats in 1974 & had them nearly 20 seasons. East side Winnipeg Stadium. Section V Row 29 Seats 12 & 13. My seats were $5 a game to sit on the 55 yard line. Imagine buying two seats on the 55 yard line for $10.00. It was $2.50 to sit in the North End Zone. The season cost me $100 for the season. Missed one game that entire time. I was in my friends's wedding party in 1984 & I had to go to rehearsal. that was the night the BC Lions came to town & we had a huge thunderstorm. It almost flooded out the stadium. The field had a lake & players were diving into the water hydroplaning. I was glad I was safe & dry in a church that night. Thanks, I remember that now...
  16. I don't understand the reference to Fred Stamps or what it means but up until about 15 years ago teams used to announce the type of injuries players had & how long they'd be out. I don't recall any player back then claiming mental anguish by teams announcing their injuries & expected recovery times. Someone please explain to me the need for players to be protected. I really want to know.
  17. Why are player injuries personal? I've never understood this. Sports is a business & athletes are public figures. They accept this when they agree to play professionally. It's part of the job description. If a guy has a knee injury & he's out for 8 weeks, he's out for 8 weeks. If a player has a dislocated hip & is gone for the season then so be it. A separated shoulder & out for 6 weeks then he's out for 6 weeks. To me, it's nothing to do with protecting anyone or keeping injuries personal. Instead, it's teams not wanting to give away an advantage to opponents regading length of injury recoveries so it's kept a secret. With sports betting, teams should be announcing the kind of injuries players have & how long they're expected to be out of the lineup. Millions of dollars are being dropped every week. Protecting players is way down the list. Injuries shouldn't be kept a secret anymore.
  18. Well, all's well & good but if you subscribe to the "Next Man Up" then injuries are just an excuse.
  19. Or the Kennedys in Hyannisport.
  20. The salary cap goes up $100.000 next season. The bar was raised on receivers thanks to Edmonton signing Lawler so Schoen will get north of $200,000 to sign here. Worth every penny.
  21. I wish the Bombers would tell us about Ellingson.
  22. Beaten us a thousand times? Lol,
  23. What makes him think he'll get a legit third shot?? Brandon Zylstra lit this league up for 2 seasons before heading south where he's been sitting on the PR of various NFL teams.
