Austin's reaction is anti Bombers. He doesn't want to acknowledge that they are the best team in the CFL. Also, he doesn't want any players to win post season awards or for the team to win their third straight Grey Cup. He'd give the MOP award to Rourke with 9 games instead of Collaros with a bigger body of work.

When Austin said Rourke is the MOP & that he was absolutely right, then he said "fight me" , I immediately called him out for picking Rourke after just 9 games. He never even acknowledged my tweet nor did he do any fighting. Then he posted another tweet saying the MOC should only be eligible if a player played a certain number of games. He never said how many. Which is the exact opposite for his criteria regarding the MOP award. Which he says shouldn't have a minimum amount of games played to be eligible. So, in other words, a different set of criteria for the MOC over the MOP. When called out on that by his followers, he claimed he was only kidding. Austin always tries to be the smartest guy in the room when he clearly isn't.

No, actually he's not. That is the new way qbs are being taught to throw. I'm not going to get into the techniques & fundamentals but he looks good throwing the ball. The thing of it is, it's one thing to throw in practice with no rush. It's quite another when he's under a full rush. Then we'll see how quick he is. How his foot reacts when he's trying to go at 100% & if he gets reinjured. He has screws, plates & other hardware in his foot & they take months to heal. The Lions trying to play mind games & getting other teams worried, Like Noeller said, whatever. We really don't know what the timeline is for him to be back. If they rush it, he'll get hurt. Simple as that.

Postmedia's Danny Austin who covers the Stamps for the Calgary Sun & Herald has tweeted he's voting for Rourke as MOP & MOC based on 9 games. Nine freakimg games. Forget what Collaros or anyone else has done grinding out 18 games. If Austin is indicative of the 9 or 10 media people who cover the CFL then Rourke will clean up. As unfair as it is.

He had Drew Willy syndrome. Once he gets out, he faces a long road to recovery. I hope he does leave & does well. Look at thei Riders history of getting rid of great qbs who were failing while playing for them. Tom Burgess was a backup to Kent Austin when the Riders won their second Grey Cup. He came to Winnipeg a year later & won the Grey Cup with the Bombers. Hank Burris played a couple of seasons in Saskatchewan being signed after he was cut by the Chicago Bears. When he became a free agent he signed with the Stamps & won a Grey Cup with them in 2008. Tom Clements won a Grey Cup for us in 84 & he only lasted half a season with the Riders before being traded in mid 1979 to the Ticats.. Then Zach Collaros, The Riders didn't want thim so they traded him to Toronto for basically a bag of used footballs in 2019. I'd love it if Fajardo went to another team & he found success as the gap toothers would be wondering why their qbs find success elsewhere.

Collaros would be pushing up daisies. Rourke would have injured both feet. Aaron Rodgers would have turned into an angry hermit in the Wisconsin backwoods.

Losing teams have attitudes like this. I doubt the Bombers are afraid of neither. The Ti Cats had their Grey Cup three weeks ago. It won't happen twice.

No, I get exactly what you're saying. My point is you're laying too much of the blame for the hot offensive mess in Sask at the feet of Fajardo. I know that he hasn't been great at all but I'm sure he sees opposing DL coming at him in his sleep. Fajardo is suffereing from battle fatigue. That OL may be the worst in the CFL. You can't win without a line blocking for the qb. They're horrible at that. They can run block judging by Morrow & Hickson's rushing stats but as pass blockers they are pylons. The other stuff? Lack of discipline, self respect & selfish penalties is on Dickenson. He did nothing to stop it & it just got worse. Jeremy O'Day built this team. He brought in Dickenson as a HC & signed guys like Marino, Edem, Williams & Marshall, He's responsible for everything. Now, he's saying there's nothing he could have done as a GM to make the team better which is a crock of ####. Like the players, he has no sense of accountability for his performance as a GM.

I don't know what Rider games you watch. When does any OL give their qb 6 seconds on every play? C'mon, man. I'm no Fajardo fan but I'm not going to dump all over him while giving all those slugs who block for him any credit. That entire unit is garbage with a capital G. I mean, we already kniow Faj would be in a casket if itr wasn't for Dan Clark. Coming back saved Cody's life.

Disagree. The OL is the problem. Fajardo has become a human piniatta & is displaying Drew Willy symptoms of panic due to being pummeled play after play. He may be too damaged to be of any help to another team.

Back to the Riders, do you get the sense Fajardo doesn't want to come back to the Riders? Sixty sacks & the OL all stand around looking at one another as if to say, "I thought you had him". He looks shell shocked & totally pissed off. This shitstorm of a season they've had. I put down to Jeremy O'Day refusing to fix the offensive line in the off season has been a major issue as well as letting Craig Dickenson coaching reign spiral out of control. O'Day should be fired as should Dickenson.

Spent the day driving from Calgary to Seattle to see our son & daughter in law. Didn't know the score until a few minutes ago. All I can say is Wow! Then I saw BC lost to Toronto. Double Wow!! And we clinched first place. Triple Wow!!!
