Mike should retire from coaching. Why would Buck want him as DC?

I've been away the past 3 or 4 days through all the appointments of head coaches & general managers. One thing, maybe I'm wrong here but I sure get the impression that both Goveia & Pierce (Buck especially) couldn't wait to leave. I think Pierce is pissed off the fanbase blames him for the Grey Cup loss when it was O'Shea who told Collaros to get back in there with his wounded finger. I haven't heard a thank you, Winnipeg from either of them. As a fan, I'm not asking for much but ignoring the team you came from because some fans made you angry seems petty if that is so & even a little classless.

The quality of our front offic 5 years ago was impressive. Two were Asst GMs who eventually became GMs in Ringmaiden & Goveia.

i think what he lacks most is experience & will only get better starting games. I.m hoping that we'll move away from Bighill. Save us some money for free agency. I'm hoping this is sarcasm.

Goveia is a huge loss. We can sugarcoat it all we like but he's the primary reason our Cdn scouting was so good. I guess we have a young guy waiting in the wings wanting to make a name for himself as a scout but until he does he'll be a question mark. The Stamps in the 00's. 10 & 20's (until this year) may have mised the playoffs a couple of times. The Esks made the playoffs every year for 37 seasons straight. We've had a great run as but we're nearly two decades behind those teams. Who both eventually hit hard times because they never adapted or changed. We'll see this season how sustainable it is losing Pierce & Goveia. Maybe McManus. Changing scouting staff may be a shot of fresh air.

Or he could be a trash OC. See, that's the thing about hiring an unknown OC. You never know what you're gonna get.

Every interim head coach unless the title is made permanent gets a raw deal.

We get to listen to Ben Mulroney's Toronto MORNING show at 12-2 after Corus cut 27 year CHQR veteran talk show host Rob Breakenridge here in Calgary. What an insult to the listening audience across Canada. Breakenridge was one of the best news interviewers on radio anywhere. Always prepared he can talk to just about everyone. Eff off Corus. Once they got rid of Breakenridge, That was a deal breaker for me. I stopped listening.

Hufnagel still runs the Stamps, no question about it. He still calls the shots.

No player should be allowed to take all of training camp off. If anyone can't compete physically then they shouldn't be here anymore. We all talk about the culture that Osh has brought to the team such as FIFO. But he's also brought a culture of entitlement & even laziness when he has older veterans who want time off. Is it any wonder we started at 0-4?

So, we won the West Final. Big deal. If that's your best memory then that tells me that our expectations are already being lowered. Winning a WDF means nothing if we let other teams find ways to beat us in the Grey Cup three years straight. We need a reboot. A reset as a team. I love the Bombers & have all my life but there's no way I trust Mike O'Shea to do the right thing for this team. To play his best combination of players with just seven starting Canadians. Now, we're being deserted like rats off of a sinking ship because the assistants & scouting staff can see what's going on. The window has closed with Mike as HC. What's the point of Goveia/McManus bringing in young players only to have them buried on the roster behind veterans ten to 15 years older than them who no longer can perform?? No wonder they want out.

Looks like the Edmonton Eskimo Alumni is now running the team just like the Stampeder Alumni is doing the same in Calgary. No idea why both teams think it's fine to load up with former players in administrative, management & coaching positions. They know only one style.... "Once an Eskimo /Stampeder, always an. Eskimo/Stampeder", (feel free to interchange team names freely). It reminds me of hillbilly families in Arkansas, West Virginia, Kentucky & Tennessee. All that inbreeding can't be good. They need coaches & management from other teams to give them a different POV. But both teams only want to give jobs to their buddies at the exclusion of all else. To me, nothing will change until they figure out that this can't work. Losing cultures for both will remain the same.

Okay to keep struggling with a rookie like Josh Johnson or Wheatfall but an experienced Bailey wouldn't have been a factor? That makes no sense. He would have helped immensely. bailey was cut in a salary cap move where Dinwiddie felt a Canadian receiver who was cheaper & could play his position. he was the Argos ;eading receiver when he was let go.

I got the impression that the Bomber braintrust was pretty stubborn in their ways, surprise, surprise (Walters & Osh). They would never admit they needed Bailey after they cut him even if they did.
