  1. Neither do you. That is your assumption. All the more reason for a federal enquiry to clear it up & have things out in the open. So what if Johnson was Governor General? Does that give him some special pass or something? Trudeau appointed that former lady astronaut as GG & she turned out to be one of the nastiest people to ever hold down that job. She was forced to resign after being GG for less than 2 years. So, it means nothing to me if Trudeau appoints a former Harper GG at all as his "rapporteur".
  2. Sure, rage farming over the legitimacy of our democracy & elections when the final results are at stake. Trudeau knew about this since 2016 & did nothing. Other countres at least tightened things up once they found out it happened to them but not Trudeau. Why? Why would he let enemy foreign governments interfere in our elections & do nothing about it over the last two elections? Is this happening as well at the civic & provincial levels as well?
  3. No, I never said that. I said that I'd never heard of the term rapporteur & neither had most Canadians. That is, until last week when Trudeau appointed Johnson, who is a family friend. A federal enquiry means an independent judge/commissioner completely separate from the government is appointed to investigate the claims. He/she may appoint other Commissioners to assist in making a report. They may enter any public building or department & demand to see any information they deem important to the investigation. They may subpoena information & they have the power to make any individual testify & cooperate with said inquiry. Which means the investigation is open & more far reaching. And there are hearings in public. A rapporteur appointed by the PM. Johnson will conduct his so called investigation in private & then come up with his findings. Wanna bet Hang Dong & the Liberals are let off the hook? It doesn't go far enough. This the democracy of our country that is at risk by foreign players from China, Iran & Russia. We all should be concerned about foreign interference. I just get the impression it's mostly, well My Guy Trudeau won so I'm still okay with it. Of course, there'd have been a different tune being sung here had Trudeau lost...
  4. What is a special rapporteur? Don't agree. If there's nothing to hide then why not approve a federal enquiry? All parliamentarians except Trudeau are calling for it. Then do it.
  5. How can any evidence be presented when Trudeau keeps blocking a federal inquiry?
  6. Like it was reported, To stop the Conservatives from looking good. Is it true? If it is, it will be a huge scandal. If not, the reporter's career is over.
  7. Kind of a mild meltdown. I've seen a lot worse.
  8. And they used to be our hockey team. Yeah, moving to the Arizona desert has worked out so well.
  9. Not if he told the Chinese official not to release the two Michaels. We'll see, I guess.
  10. Pretty easily. He's been ignoring it for years now. Chevy needs to go but Chipman gave him a new deal last year. No accountability from above. Won't be surprised if Bowness gets the axe.
  11. If I was a young man in my 20's, single & could do it all over again, I might make football scouting my life's calling.
  12. Flex flex?? On twitter, you'd think it was some huge star who was let go. Thank you, James for the memories qccording to some Elks fans.
  13. The owner Murray Edwards lives full time in London, England. Refuses to pay Canadian income taxes. I'm pretty certain that he'll renounce his Canadian citizenship for British. He has no interest in the Stampeders or the stadium they play in.
  14. My claim is invalid??? Lol. What games have YOU watched the past 20 or more years??? I guess the politicians are right. If you say it enough people will believe even if it's a lie. Attendance is UP. The CFL is flourishing. C'mon sing it again.... Attendance is UP. The CFL is flourishing. One more time... Attendance is UP. The CFL is flourishing. Lord have merrrrrcy... Attendance is UP. The CFL is flourisung. Not just Calgary. Not just Calgary. Talk to any NFL fans in Southern Ontario or BC. New ownership. I'm thinking 15,000 will be a good crowd at McMahon this season.
  15. Yes, this problem goes back 5 decades. But back then, the Big 3 were averaging 45,000 fans per game. Montreal used to average 60,000 fans per game at the Big Owe.. I can also remember watching games from Montreal in that cavernous stadium where 2-5,000 fans were in attendance & the team folded. Today, tens of thousands of empty seats: Toronto, BC, Edmonton,. Calgary. Montreal loses 5 million dollars a year. Averaged 16,000 last year. They can't even fill a 25,000 seat stadium. Saskatchewan attendance down. No longer sells out. Living here in Calgary, I can assure you that no one cares about the Stampeders. I don't expect crowds any higher than 14,000 except for the LD game but it no longer sells out. Why should fans here care when the owner Murray Edwards doesn't? Sadly, they don't. So far this winter the Stamps have been invisible.
  16. Not bad?? I disagree. I wouldn;t pay $90 a ticket to sit on the 35 or 40 yard line at McMahon. And what if I don't want to sit in the Family Section? I'll just watch on tv at home. Not everyone wants season tickets.
  17. Really too bad about Stove. Hate to see it.
  18. The Stamps owners do nothing. Absolutely nothing. The game experience sucks in a 63 year old building. Not when a family of 4 would cost over $200 for a game. Disposable income is at an all time low
  19. I don't need figures. I see it when I watch the games on TSN with the tens of thousands of empty seats. Why come to the games & pay high ticket, concessions & parking prices to go to a game when fans can watch on television?
  20. Attendance has dropped dramatically since all games are televised.
  21. The climate in Edmonton is just about the same as it is in Winnipeg. Maybe Winnipeg's a bit colder in winter but does five degrees celsius make a difference when it's minus 20??? I can tell you that the winter doesn't start or end much differently in both cities. There are no mountains near Edmonton like Calgary has or lakes nearby like Winnipeg. I also remember my parents back in the 80's going to visit my sister & her family in Edmonton. Usually they'd drive up in late May or early June. My Dad would come back always complaining about the rainy, cold weather in Edmonton compared to Winnipeg. He hated Edmonton.
  22. just watching the XFL for the first time.... san Antonio @ Arlington. Nice stadium but only 10,000 in attendance. The football is awful because the qbs are brutal.
  23. I find it hard to believe that any Canadian network with ratings of 250-500,000 cable viewers & the advertising revenues it brings in for 20 some weeks would not want the CFL on their network.
