  1. Straight ahead bull type rusher who is a situational player. Not a starter. He was a Fullback at SFU.
  2. He could have signed with us at least twice before & from what I understand he led Walters on thinking he'd sign here before signing with the Argos & then back with the Elks. He signed with 2 shitty teams & played badly for both. He made his bed. Screw him. I hope he enjoys playing for the crap show Elks.
  3. If Arceneaux is out playing him why do you think he'd help us?
  4. He's an Antre Milanovic-Litre clone. Not much else. Runs the same & looks the same. Milanovic-Litre was my son's fullback at SFU & was great (in the NCAA D2 Great Northern Athletic Conference) & I loved watching him bash & run over defenders back then but he's barely a backup in the CFL. If both Milanovic-Litre & Ouelette are starters, their teams can't run the ball well at all. He gets paid too much money. He won't take a pay cut.
  5. Remember the days before the pandemic when Derel Wajker was the premiere receiver in the CFL? He became a free agent & we had our own private "Have You Seen Derel Lately? Watch" going on here?? Now, nobody cares about Walker anymore. Ah, good times....
  6. O'Connor has a strong arm & he's a tall lanky qb. He can run but not like Rourke. I can't see him making some of the throws Rourke did but he has motivated receivers who will work hard to get open for him. He won't be putting up the numbers Rourke did but I could see him throwing for 200-250 yard a game. I think teams will blitz the **** out of him trying to rough him up. That OL benefitted from Rourke's ability to get away from pressure & throw laser beam accurate passes. O'Connor can't do that. If the Lions go 50% the rest of the way they'll be hosting the Western Semi Final.
  7. Panthers rookie qb Matt Corral suffered a "significant" Lisfranc injury to his foot, Out for the season. https://www.nfl.com/news/panthers-qb-matt-corral-suffers-lisfranc-injury-in-friday-s-preseason-game-likel
  8. I really wanted to see that air show play here in minus 20 weather on November 13th.
  9. Breaking News: Nick Arbuckle has been traded to the BC Lions for a 6th round pick in the 2023 Draft & a 7th round pick in 2024. A bag of footballs may be included in 2024 depending on his performance.this season. Rourke won't be back.
  10. I was saying th same thing when the game was going on. They wanted to run up the score & pad everyone's stats. Make sure Rourke wins the CFL's MOP Award. The Lions were really getting greedy as the season went on. They got burned with their selfishness & ego. Hope Rick Campbell slept well the last two nights. He ****** over his star generational qb & may have also ****** up his career if that injury doesn't heal fully. They sure had a lot of fun kicking sand in team's faces, didn't they? Every night a party. Well, that ended rather quickly.
  11. Yeah, agree. Just get Collaros outta there when defensive players are pissed & want to go trophy hunting.
  12. Forgot to mention, the other problem is swelling. Some people recover quicker from swelling while others don't & it affects recovery time. That can be very frustrating. Trust me, I've had foot surgery a number of times & every time something different always occurs while recovering. You just never know. None of my surgeries took less than 6 months to heal.
  13. The foot has 26 bones. Mostly small & hundreds of thousands of nerve endings. They're needed because we use our feet for balance & we need receptors to tell us if something is hard, slippery, wet, sharp, hot or cold. This makes the foot very sensitive after surgery. Whenever surgery is done on the foot, recovery is slow. Not only because the bones need to heal but the nerves damaged in that surgery need to regenerate & heal. That takes months because it is a slow process. some nerves will come back but others may never be the same. Surgical procedures have changed but healing time hasn't. Rourke will have the best doctors, surgeons & physiotherapists taking care of him so he should heal a little quicker than you & I. It'll still take months.
  14. i wonder if Anthony Calvillo would have the stats he has if he didn't play nearly every down of every game whether the Als had a big lead or not? Marc Trestman let him pile up the passing stats season after season.
  15. I know the distinctions but not in the CFL with just 9 coaches. McAdoo & Del Monaco are listed as the OC's for their respective teams.
  16. I was thinking the same thing, Even though he still has a year left on his $70,000 rookie deal, they better pay him or Rourke's agent better tell the Lions to eff off. No way should he play for peanuts. Imagine the PR nightmare if he held out at training camp. The new owner who is so concerned about public perception of the Lions would have a conniption. Of course, that will absolutely let the dominos loose & blow up the Lions salary cap structure but they put themselves in that predicament. They knew it couldn't last the way it was, although I don't think they anticipated Rourke playing at the level he was. He was sacked & his foot twisted awkwardly.
  17. Jones has always let McAdoo call the plays while Dickenson refuses. He wants to call the plays & not Del Monaco. Which is strange. If you design an offense, shouldn't you be allowed to direct it on Game Day or why even bother? Just coach the O Line, then.
  18. https://www.bclions.com/2022/08/21/nathan-rourke-to-have-surgery-for-linsfranc-sprain/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter The Lions putting on a brave face with that news release.... Probably season ending. I won't dare gloat or say that we've got first place locked up. We all know what could happen if.... Don't even want to think about it. Especially with B2B games against the Riders & that POS Garrett Marino,
  19. The BC Lions just announced that Nathan Rourke will undergo surgery for a Lisfranc sprain. Recovery is usually 6-8 weeks but with surgery, it could take from 5-8 months to heal. That's me looking it up on Google as \i've never heard of a Lisfranc sprain.
  20. The Bombers haven't even hinted Alexander is close to being ready.
  21. From what I understand, he doesn't want to play for anyone else & wants to retire playing his entire career as a Stamp. Pat Del Monaco is the OC. This isn't Dickenson's offense. But he calls the plays on the sidelines.
  22. Mitchell was finally benched. When he was the best qb in the CFL a few years ago, he could get away with being an arrogant prick. Now, he's just another washed up has been who is still an arrogant prick. Because of the kind of player he is with a big mouth, I don't think he'll be missed very much once he does retire. He'd be smart to retire after this season. There are plenty of Stamps fans who don't like him.
  23. I never want to see him back here ever.
