  1. You're a huge Jets fan. What you're saying is you won't support then anymore?
  2. Brodie Lawson, the young woman broadcaster who did TNF on TSN & was laid off when the pandemic struck should be brought back. She's attractive & definitely would bring in more male viewers. Instead of being fired, she should have been given an even bigger role with TSN & football. Moves like that with the league & TSN are stupid & not well thought out. She'd have been a boon to the ratings. Still could be.
  3. That is a great idea that we know will never happen.
  4. Bierness reminds me of a former female claims supervisor I had when I was an adjuster here in Calgary back in the early 90's. I didn't care much for her either so maybe that's why I don't like Bierness on the panel. Back then, 30 years ago, the insurance business was 90% men in supervisory, middle & upper management. It was tough for a woman to break into that clique, I'll admit. So, what did my super do? She tried too hard being one of the boys. I get the same impression that Bierness is doing the same thing. Trying too hard to be one of the boys on the panel. It's not working. Yeah, I forgot about Randorf but he's at Sportsnet doing hockey. That is where he always should have been. An in studio host which would have suited his strengths. Instead they stuck him in the booth. He never improved. He just stagnated for two decades. How was that even possible?
  5. It looked very claustrophobic like playing in a coffin.
  6. Just what level does she take it too? It sure ain't up. I'm not going to give Bierness a pass because she's a woman & we must be nice when talking about her. I think she isn't that good & the panel suffers because of it. James Duthie & Rod Smith were much better moderators. Things seems to have gone south, especially with the addition of Sanchez who brings very little to the table as a panel member. He's like Suitor who may say a lot but really has nothing to say.
  7. We're not upset. Just discussing. Typical TSN. We've been dealing with it as an audience for 25 years.
  8. The Jets should have stayed in Winnipeg knowing how moribund financially this team has been since leaving Winnipeg. We'd have been watching the Jets in an 18,000 seat building at The Forks. I had made a committment to buy season tickets along with four of my friends back in 1995. I saw the plans for the building when I went to the Forks to buy season tickets.
  9. Ritchie Hall is my age & I can tell you physically I've slowed down the past 5 years. Being an assistant coach, let alone a DC with the long hours is a grind the older one gets. I agree with Booch that Younger is probably the heir apparent. for DC.
  10. They're trying to be like Charles Barkley & Shaq. I'm not a Kate Bierness & Davis Sanchez fan. Both of them bring down the panel. It's always yuk, yuk, yuk with them both.
  11. Murphy reminds me of Jason Kenney. Thinks he's the smartest pompous ass in the room when he's not.
  12. I feel the same way, What better way to hide someone than to give him an imaginary job with an imaginary team.
  13. Another #7 who showed flashes but things never quite came together for him in Winnipeg, Shreveport or Edmonton. Tom Muecke. He died in 2016 of a sudden heaart attack at age 52 leaving behind his wife & 2 kids.
  14. When it comes to Don Jonas, I was, still am & always will be an unabashed fan boy & I'm proud of it.
  15. I think Don Jonas was the most popular player the Bombers ever had, Jack Jacobs may have built the House (Winnipeg Stadium). Ken Ploen may have been the winner of 4 Grey Cups. However, Jonas was a sociable guy who people immediately liked as he connected with them. His play as a qb brought the Bombers back from the financially dead. They went from averaging around 10,000 fans a game in 1970 to 25,000 by 1972 at Winnipeg Stadium. Bomber home game tickets became a hot item. When they went on sale, the games would sell out in two or 3 days. Jonas did public service announcements, local commercials, was a spokesperson for different charities in Winnipeg, a sought after keynote speaker at banquets during the off season, curled in the media league which endeared him to Jack Matheson & even acted in a play at MTC. He could have ran for Mayor & won. Incumbent Mayor at the time Steve Juba certainly was glad he didn't. People loved the guy. There's been no one like him since.
  16. With Tillman coming off of that sexual misconduct charge in Regina with his babysitter, he got a second chance to resume his GM duties in Edmonton. Then he pulled this stunt... errr... trade sending Ray to the Argos. With his reputation shattered from his time in Regina, it's no wonder people thought this was a shady deal & money may have changed hands under the table because the trade made zero sense. Tillman was eventually fired as Edmonton's GM only to resurface in Hamilton a couple of years later as someone behind the scenes as a consultant. It was his last stop in the CFL. He's gone now.
  17. I remember the Ray trade. It was so one sided in the Argos favour that people wondered what Esks/Elks GM Eric Tillman was doing.. There was speculation that more was going to come from the Argos but it never did. Fans also thought that the Argos may have paid Tillman under the table to get that trade done. Did that happen? I don't think that question was ever answered.
  18. Thank you. Glad things are working out for you. I have a hard time accepting that good things can happen to me. As in, I deserve it. Even though I feel at times I don't. I used to feel I wasn't good enough to be happy.
  19. As soon as Kenney won he thought he was the smartest guy in the room. He stopped listening & ran a top down govt when most of his base expected a grassroots bottom up political party. He brought in a lot of people from Ontario to run the govt & it alienated a lot of Albertans. The policies & style of government Kenney ran didn't connect with a lot of Albertans.
  20. That would have been absolutely terrible to deal with. It's something you never get over.
  21. I haven't been spitballin' mad here for years now. I've worked hard to calm down & reign it in a lot as I know that I can be a difficult poster to deal with & have been in the past. I'm not perfect as I still have my moments but I try everyday to be better as well as gain people's trust here. Not that I want anyone to feel sorry for me but a lot of the anger I have/had was from anxiety & depression which I've suffered from for years all the way back to Grade 10 when I first had suicidal thoughts as school for me that year was an abysmal failure. Or just suck it up!! It went undiagnosed for decades. It was always, "He has a bad temper." Well, yes & no as it was more than that. But when you feel some days like you're going to die if you leave the house, it's a tough life not knowing why. I was so angry, nervous & sad all the time. I've sought professional help & it is helping. Anyway, enough! I don't want to be the person here I used to be.
  22. Watched the entire game & somehow missed that. But it's not like TSN would tell us who's kicking as Nielsen & Suitor just keep yapping all game long.
