  1. I was surprised Mourtada wasn't used on Tues night.
  2. In 2017, Matty could throw. His injury didn't occur until 2019. It's LaPo's style of offense. It's his comfort zone.
  3. I think he'd get more money signing in the CFL.
  4. Buck also challenges the opposing defenses with a much more vertical passing offense. If he can beat you deep he'll take that shot whereas with LaPo it's spread the field, run the **** out of the ball with Harris, screens & checdowns. Or throw three or four yards short of a first down & let the receiver get it on his own. He' was conservative & hardly ever took chances with his playcalling. How many times were we ten points ahead at the half only to sit on a lead in the 3rd & 4th quarter? To me, LaPo played not to lose. Buck plays to win. Huge difference.
  5. Surprised both teams played all rookies. I figured the Riders would come out with their first stringers, jump all over us, get the big lead & then sub in the rooks. Like Calgary did to BC. So, I'll give props to Craig Dickenson for having a plan & sticking to it. In Calgary, they were up something like 46-7 & blitzed the BC rookie qb Thompson & he was seriously injured. Big controversy that the Stamps should have mercied the Lions & not blitz hard late in the game. Stamps say they were just doing what all defenses do. When asked, Dave Dickenson said football is a tough game. & injuries are unfortunate. My feeling is that Thompson needed to see some blitzes so he could recognize them as part of his development. It's too bad he got hurt but no one other than Lions fans would say it was a deliberate attempt to injure him. I never saw the play so I can't judge.
  6. LaPo is supposed to be this QB Guru which I never understood. He never played QB. Especially since he was a D3 receiver in college. Much like Jacques Chapdeliane who was a slot in the CFL & whose offense is a nightmare for qbs to learn & understand.
  7. Well done,Mike. We salute you.
  8. When I think of how it could be Rod Black in the booth I get a
  9. Yeah, they can take their time. Injuries play a factor as well. Some guys may be kept around because the starter ahead of them can't play.
  10. Matty & Doug never came out. They did their own sneaks. Goal line offense wasn't done the way it is now. IThe starting qb stayed in. It was more of a straight ahead, qb behind center or the guards, get the qb pad level & head down & puuuussssssshhh while getting the snot kicked out of them, Now, it's an entire short yardage/goal line unit with a backup qb who generally runs down the LOS, picks a hole & goes through it while getting the snot kicked out of them.
  11. Okay, why not?? West: Winnipeg Calgary Saskatchewan Edmonton BC East: Hamilton Torontp Montreal Ottawa
  12. Just curoius but how would the CFL get on a huge streaming service like DAZN, for example & go global?
  13. I think that's the plan. I certainly hope so. He is so underused.
  14. He'll be lucky to find a 500 sq ft 1 BR apt for that price.
  15. That WR who laid out & scored that last TD. I'd give him the Happy Honker Award.
  16. Sure, just give up because you say so. Between the NFL hoarding qbs, the USFL & the XFL starting up it is hard to find good young qbs. Makes me worry about the future of the CFL at that position.
  17. The Stamps found Jake Maier so there's always hope, I guess.
  18. God, you're so damned smug. My name isn't Danny McManus. That's his job to know & not mine.
  19. There are guys out there. Not every qb is a rookie. They have to find someone. Elks have at least 2 qbs who may help. There's the USFL. There are free agent qbs out there.
  20. Ultimately, the game showed that one played a little better than the other but we have no insurance if Collaros gets........ shhhhh! Don't even say it. Neither of those 2 can win us a game in the regular season or playoffs.
