  1. I have a Tom Clements away jersey just like that one but it doesn't fit anymore. I bought it in 1985 when I weighed 180 lbs. Now, it's like a tight tee shirt than a football jersey. I was going to sell it but decided to keep it.
  2. They'd have a great team if it was 2017.
  3. No, probably not as there are too many social conservatives & Reformers still living in the 90's in that party. They also support the occupatiosn going on right now which I believe will be their fatal mistake. I don't know where I'll park my vote. My 2 sons can't figure out what's happened to me as they are right wing Conservatives. I told them people change with age & experience. I'm a senior now. I'm not 35 when I was a piss full of vinegar Reformer. Today, I see cuts to healthcare. I see a moronic AB Premier who picvks fights with everyone & hasn't come through on one election promise. Dropping masking restrictions is just crazy. I can't stand Kenney. I thought O'Toole was a lying fool. (Hey, that rhymes). I'll never go back to the Conservative I was in 1993.
  4. I'm not. Win a third GC & worry about a fourth next year.
  5. The more Oliviera & Augustine play the better players they'll become.
  6. I think they have at least one more great season in them. So, the Argos play just road games?
  7. I know but it's a sword that's painful to bear.
  8. Here in Calgary, I can order a Bomber jersey at the Stamps store & it will be crested properly like the pro jersey in the correct font with name & number. They get it done locally.
  9. You do you. You can get any name or number put on a blank jersey. You just have to tell them. There would be an extra cost.
  10. He never said that.
  11. I'm the same way. I don't wear names of players younger than me, either. I may get a Raimey 27 or Minnick 54.
  12. If he can't beat us then join us. Always go with a legend in today's CFL.
  13. Reading that article didn't make me feel that O'Shea & Walters were the bad guys here. Harris had the chance to earn back O'Shea's trust. He didn't want to. If we didn't perform at the expected level at our jobs we'd be fired. It may not be athletics but our boss expect us to put in an honest day's work. We all have personal issues that can affect our job performance but we're expected to leave it all behind when we start working & people for the most part do. Some of us had to go to night school to get professional designations to be able to continue employed in the industry we work(ed) in. Having to go to night school twice a week for 3 hours & study for a final exam is hugely difficult & exhausting while holding down a full time job. It also shows an employee's committment to the company one works for. The Bombers wanted to see how he was if he was still committed to the team for 2022 by doing a workout which Harris could have done very easily. He said no. Why should Andrew be different?
  14. Well, the most respected guy in the room is showing a lack of respect to the team & coach he played for. You don't hear Walters or O'Shea saying anything publicly & we know they won't. Andrew Harris should have taken the high road but he chose not to. This kind of reminds me of the way Gerry James left the Bombers back in the early 60's. James was a Canadian fullback who tore it up for the Bombers having two 1,000 yard seasons in 1954 & 56. James rushed for 5,541 yards before & during the Bud Grant years. He left the Bombers after the 1962 season very unhappy feeling disrespected by Grant. He played his last season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1964. He accused his Head Coach of disliking Canadians thinking they were inferior players to their American counterparts. He accused Grant of underpaying & treating every Canadian player on the Bombers like dirt. As well, he felt he deserved more money but the Bombers wouldn't pay so he left very angry when his contract expired. Until his name was put up on the Ring Of Honour a number of years ago, James had little to do with the Bombers or Alumni. My point is, most players don't get to leave the game at any level the way they want. Injuries, lack of playing time, eroding skills, contract disputes or coaching changes all contribute to a lot of players being dissatisfied as to how they left the game. Not many Tom Brady's get to walk away on top.
  15. Of course they would. It's the Argos who are allowed to spend like drunken sailors.
  16. Seven on 7 is huge in the US. All kinds of leagues & tournaments that run winter, spring & summer. It's starting to pick up in this country but only a few teams travel. With Covid, Canadian teams that normally would compete from here haven't been able to travel to the US.
  17. I don't agree. O'Shea wanted Harris back. I never got the sense O'Shea was not happy with him. This is a business. Decisions need to be made. If Harris wanted to be back then he would've made it happen. He wanted a bigger payday. In the end, that's what it came down to. Money. If Walters is, that is the dumbest move he could make. We have more pressing needs right now than chasing a backup qb who has been gone for 3 years.
  18. We were lucky Castillo signed. We probably would have lost the Grey Cup relying on Mourtada to kick 5 field goals. You can't just dismiss kicking as no big deal. It's an integral part of any team's success.
  19. Just wishin' & hopin' & thinkin' & prayin'.
  20. I think Ellingson is an upgrade over Darvin. I just worry about Lawler's position. I keep waiting & hoping we sign someone like Ricky Collins as the pickings are getting slim. I'd like us to sign a veteran DB & Janarion Grant. The other thing is with 8 veterans gone elsewhere & their salaries off the books, why is Edmonton the front runner to sign Sergio Castillo? I'm not criticizing Walters but I am wondering just what is going on? We have some holes to fill & what are we waiting for? Again, no criticism just a question I'm sure the fanbase is wondering the same thing. I didn't expect us to be crazy in free agency but I did think we'd be more active than this. Willie Jefferson was asking the same thing on twitter yesterday.
  21. Still waiting for a signing. Any signing. Other than Ellingson, it's been....
  22. Hecht at safety. OMFG. Next year they'll be in salary cap hell.
