  1. I wish the Bombers would give him a Grey Cup ring.
  2. You also expose Jefferson to injury. He isn't needed.
  3. He's just dripping with sarcasm. Right????
  4. Or if he believes Nathan Rourke can be an effective qb. Heis getting older & I'm sure he wants to win a Grey Cup.
  5. With the lack of talent & & ability on that OL I doubt if anyone could have made them better. If Wylie with all his experience can't do it then how a less experienced coach do it? Usually coaches IQ's rise with good players. Strictly a money cutting move which is why that coaches & admin cap has to go. But nothing from the CFL. They were going to delve into ways to make the game better. Crickets. Not surprised.
  6. All I was trying to say is we don't need those kind of players to be TE's & until the CFL goes back to TE's they'll never be developed in this country. It doesn't mean we can't or ever will.
  7. Bob Wylie was let go by the RedBlacks because they want their coaching staff to get younger. Another word for cheaper. So, thery brought in a different coach who is younger & won't make as much $$$. Did the same thing to Steve Walsh their qb coach. Ageism at it's finest. It's not about who is best but who is cheaper. Which is why LaPo won't last the season there. Wylie & Walsh had literally nothing to work with.
  8. That's your name, right??? It's your metric. Plaese don't twist my words.
  9. Teams can only judge what players are doing now. The Bombers are giving him every chance but at some point Legghio has to start showing he can kick in the CFL. He's a competent (not great punter). Guess we'll see.
  10. Press conference tomorrow. Chris Jones to introduce Tom Wilkinson as his starting qb.
  11. Why are you hung up on this 6'5/250 lb TE a 4.4 or 4.5 fourty? First of all, the TE won't be going mano a mano on 285 lb DT's. He'll be handling quick outside linebackers or D ends. So, he'll be cracking down or chipping on the edge then slipping into the flat or going downfield for a pass. He doesn't have to run 4.5 to be successful.
  12. No, unfortunately we don't know that. He may never be the guy.
  13. Apparently, Roddenberry was one of the problems. The studio didn't want him but they didn't know how to fire him so they gave him an office. He would grab the script everyday & rewrite it. Then there was a problem with the special effects company they hired for the movie. The job was too much & most of the special effects had to be redone becausae they were awful. There was a hard deadline for the film to hit movie screens & a week or two before the premiere they were still writing the script & trying to keep Gene Rodenberry out of their hair which is why the ending makes no sense. It was rushed & the film was completed just days before the premiere.
  14. The worst Star Trek movie ever made. It lacked action, plodding storyline & horrible ending. They can remaster that film all they want. However, a pig with lipstick is still a pig.
  15. I could tell you stories about kids I coached that would have been great players had they stuck with it or were stolen by other sports. As well as a couple of players who went on to play in the CFL. They weren't all my position players. When I say 'coached", I mean I was part of the coaching staff of the team I was on with them. Some were my guys. Most were other coaches guys.
  16. Yeah, there are hidden gems every year. At all positions. The kids don't know the potential they have but you keep doing you. One of the best receivers I ever saw played bantam football for me. He was totally raw in Grade 9 & couldn't run great routes but he caught every football thrown to him. He was years ahead of every kid on the team & the league as a pass catcher. Just a damned natural talent. I literally begged the kid to play HS football. I told him the sky's the limit if he works hard to perfect his routes & blocking. His hand to eye coordination was simply off the charts. He played volleyball in HS instead. Wasn't interested in playing football. My son Tyler was his qb & even he couldn't convince him to play in Grade 10. We still talk about him sometimes. He was one that got away.
  17. He never murdered his son. He fell off the balcony when the sliding door was accidentally left open by the maid in the kid's mom's high rise condo in New York. Clapton & his wife were separated at the time. He wasn't even there. Holy ****. Gonna post that on social media or just leave that stinky nugget here?
  18. After surviving being kidnapped by Poppy in Kingsman: The Golden Circle & being forced to perform in a parrot costume, this happens. Seriously, all the best to Sir Elton & hope it isn't serious.
  19. "Just give me some cheap whiskey & a stick & I'll be alright....."
  20. So much for universal health care. Man, i would love to see a class action lawsuit on behalf of people who died or had surgeries postponed in the billions for all provinces & Ottawa. Politicians like Kenney, Moe & Ford who cut healthcare should be financially be responsible. They & their governments should pay.... financially. Not tragic at all. It's just plain stupid. Selfish prick won't ever watch his kids grow up. I sympathize with the family unless they're all like him. I certainly don't sympathize with the guy at all.
  21. Who was our kicker in 2010? Joe Mack was GM & LaPo was HC. Justin Palardy was our kicker & he hit 86% of his FG's in 2010. He played in the CFL until 2014 & retired with an 81% lifetime FG average. Only missed one extra point his entire career. So, as much as I think Joe Mack was a terrible GM & LaPo makes strange personnel decisions, I'll give them both a pass here on Paredes.
