Whatever week this is - Non B2B Champs games
I've sat in plenty of cold weather games in my time. Like the 1972 Western Final when the temp at game time was minus 21C. Rain games, snow games, sleet games, blazing sun games, windchill games. If the elements give the Bombers an advantage, I'm all for it. If you can't hack it then you stay home. Have a hot toddy by the fire watching the Bombers on tv.

Does Dane Evans shave his head or is he actually bald? What a pasty white chrome dome.

Bombers Extend Zach Collaros
Fans should watch the old games & see the legends do their thing. Some of those players were good enough to be stars today. A player that really impressed me with his toughness & quickness was Winnipeg native Billy Cooper who played for the Rough Riders. He was athletic, quick & agile. He was a backup receiver but the Rough Riders primary punt returner. Easy to see why. In an era where the punt returners had no blocking... it was 12 to 1, Cooper broke a punt return for 20 some yards. Ottawa receiver Margene Adkins had very good hands & was a burner. For Toronto, players that stood out for me were Fullback Bill Symons & QB Tom Wilkinson Yep, have to wonder about the advice Desjarlais getting from those around him like his agent, close family & friends.

There's no "brilliant strategy" for our nutcase Premier. You give her waaaaaaay too much credit. She's been drinking the Ivermectin...

I watched a CFL game on You Tube from September of 1969 yesterday. It was a CBC production, It had all the commercials & halftime show. Just like someone from that era would have seen the game if they were sitting watching in their living room. Argos @ Rough Riders September 13, 1969. Check it out. During halftime, they had the "athletic trainer" for the Argos talking about injuries. They had Argos receiver Bobby Taylor being treated on television for a rotator cuff injury he had. The description of the injury including massage & manipulation of the joint as well as treatment using ultra sound & electrical stimulation (an early form of TENS). Taylor sat there while being treated saying very little as the therapist described what he was doing. In today's CFL, you'd never see that. Teams wouldn't allow their players on television to discuss their injuries. Let alone treat them publicly. Especially O'Shea. I just found it very interesting the way things have changed in regards to injuries in half a century.

Bombers Extend Zach Collaros
Ellingson was lighting it up until he got hurt & then that was it.... Then the lights went out. Nothing. Never to be heard from again. Our luck with older free agent receivers over 30 isn't very good. We need to concentrate on younger free agent receivers like Jaelin Acklin & not Greg Ellingson. I'm thinking Kenny Lawler will be back next season. I had this same discussion earlier this season & was told by posters here that it was none of my business what player injuries are as they are private. MOS is doing a great job protecting his players. End of story.

Has he, though? I don't see it. Evans is brutal. Asof now, he's become a chronic backup with little upside. He's got all the tools but the tools ain't in the toollbox (his head).

I'd take Fajardo over Evans. The Riders OL killed his confidence. Evans is just a headcase. I just can't see Hamilton sticking with him next season. I'm not saying that Fajardo is a great qb but in the right situation he could be a solid starter. That's just my opinion, FWIW. A qb can have all the physical tools but if he can't handle the pressure of being a starter then those tools mean nothing. That's how I see Evans. He just can't get it done when the chips are down.

Fajardo would do well in Hamilton with Steinhauer & Condell. He's a better qb than Dane Evans. As much as Fajardo does whine, ***** & complain, could you imagine Evans with that circus in Regina? He'd have Dickenson telling him lies & Maas screaming at him. He'd sink lfaster than a Mafia hit in cement shoes.- 2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News
He isn't healthy & he won't be 100% when he plays.- 2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News
Thinking this came down from O'Day. Another reason the Riders are what they are.- 2022 CFL Season - Back 2 Back Champs News
I want to see us sign at least one legit interior pass rusher & run gapper in free agency than go after Mauldin. That would be money better well spent, IMO.- 2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News
I'm surprised by this. The Riders are still in the hunt for a crossover playoff spot. To me, Fajardo is a better qb than Mason Fine. He's inexperienced & has only started what, one game? I don't think he'll play any better against the Stamps than Fajardo would have. If Dickenson is looking for Fine to be a difference maker, it won't happen. This is why the Riders are who they are & why changes need to be made from the GM down to the HC. If the Riders were out of a playoff spot, I'd agree & say sure give Fine the start. But in this situation, with a playoff spot on the line why make a change? Strange timing. As much as all of you hate Fajardo, I think he still is their best option at qb to win.- 2022 CFL Season - Back 2 Back Champs News
Bad take, actually. Jeffcoat & JEfferson are by far the best tandem of defensive ends in the CFL. Our interior defensive line is the problem & has been all year. Fix that &watch the two bookends go to town. Then watch Adam Bighill & the linebackers step it up. Like the offense with the OL, the DL is the foundation of a great defense. Not surprised we've struggled on defense with the lack of a push from those two DT positions. - 2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News
