Yeah, he was developing into a great player. He has a career in law enforcement in Surrey, BC. Oh damn, I forgot about Sukh Chung!!! Mr Overpaid Rag Doll.

Don't mess with the Duttons. Never saw anyone ever smoke a cigarette like Beth Dutton.

Got caught up on the first 2 episodes of Yellowstone Season 4 last night. Great watch.
-
Put a space in between & it works as in D i c k Thornton.
-
Yeah, I saw that & went hmmmm. Must be tough on his shoulders when a pass hits him in the chest cuz he's taking a play off just going thru the motions.
-
Whatever it is, his CFL career is over.
-
That POS Lawrence has all of TSN working on his behalf. Dirtiest player in the CFL. Takes opposing players out & he gets celebrated for it.

All great players. Guard was the toughest selection as there were other guards who played for us who were outstanding but they only played a few seasons so even though they were great I feel longevity has to be a major factor to be on any All Time position list. Two guards that come to mind tin this scenario that were dominant but only played a few seasons for us: Buddy Brown & Bob Lueck.

This is the first I've heard of this. This never came up last year when he played for the Stamps or when he tried out for the NFL.
-
I'd say he is. The 4 Top Tackles are: 1. Stanley Bryant 2. Chris Walby 3. Bill Frank 4. Frank Rigney The 4 Top Guards are: 1. Nick Bastaja 2. Brett MacNeill 3. David Black 4. Cornel Piper The 4 Top Centers are: 1. John Bonk 2. Bob Swift 3. George Druxman 4. Dave Mudge

Why are we playing soccer in Edmonton during November?

I pvr'd it.

Dammit, I forgot about the game. I'm watching the 2 hour premiere of Yellowstone.

I think you're talking about me so I'll respond. For the record, it isn't personal. I don't dislike you as I wouldn't know what you look like if we crossed paths in public. I actually think you are pretty knowledgeable & I do read your posts. You're style is wordy, I get that. Maybe it's just the way you say things as was your response to Noeller, If he wants to hate other teams, that's his right. I don't know why Bob Irving came into the conversation. Anyway, I have no axe to grind with you. So, it's all good. And since we're on the record here, I don't yell at clouds. I spit at them.

Why do you think it's your place to constantly correct people here? You just never stop.

Most of them won't be back next season.
-
They have to bring back the third qb on the roster. Teams can then choose to keep developing young qbs &/or have a veteran backup.

3 stars plus scape goat 2nd last pre season edition
SpeedFlex27 replied to wbbfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I'm beginning to think that after this season it may be time to move on from Adams. There was another play in the game he was thrown to that was incomplete. He looked like he made little effort to catch the ball & he looked like he wasn't interested. Until that TD catch he was playing like his head was in the clouds. -
No way. I'll be cheering for the Stamps just cuz I hate the Riders so much. The tortured wails & angst will be so great if they lose in the WDSF it'll be so well worth it. Any day is agreat day when the Riders lose. Then we kickshit the Stamps & Bo Levi.

It sure was all about Montreal today on TSN wasn't it? They talked up Eugene Lewis & Harris as well. John Lu never talked about the Bombers at all.

Bye Bob (Irving Retirement)
SpeedFlex27 replied to Pete Catan's Ghost's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
No, that's your opinion & that's alright as I respect it. I think Mark Stephen is a good football broadcaster but that's me. They're homers absolutely. Bob is a different breed of cat. An old school broadcaster doing the same job for nearly half a century. He does stay neutral as much as he can when he does the games. -
Bye Bob (Irving Retirement)
SpeedFlex27 replied to Pete Catan's Ghost's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Really? I thought he was pretty good. Surprised you said that. I never said he was equal or better than Irving just that he does a good job calling the plays. -
I think it's a case of worrying we'll lose our momentum. I think we have to play our starters next week including Zach. We can only protect Collaros so much. He could get hurt first series in the WDF (heaven forbid). That's football. It's a collision sport. Injuries happen.

As Jim Barker said other than Bryant & Neufeld he had all the starters playing. Yeah, they are 2 of best OL on the team but their replacements did a good job. I didn't think the OL played that badly. McGuire had time to throw. He was hurried a number of times but he wasn't harassed or sacked a lot. He made really bad decision. He underthrew & overthrew open receivers., He missed targets he should have had. Now, it was his first start so I'm not writing him off. I remember Dieter Brock's first start as a Bomber in Edmonton back in 1974 after Don Jonas was traded to Hamilton. It was a very similar game with a similar outcome & look what kind of a qb Brock became. McGuire HAS to be better. A lot better.
