  1. Did Schoen get a lot of reps in training camp? I know he never played much in the pre season. I mean, either we believe in bad luck or all these injuries comes down to prepping the players & coaching.
  2. Kolankowski over Eli? Why play our best players??? It's only wins & losses.
  3. Is Eli's contrct up after this season? Expect him to leave if it is. There seems to be a pattern here. If you're not one of Mike's guys then you don't play much.
  4. What a strange last couple of posts you've made.
  5. No clue how to run this league or how to grow revenues for the CFL. Just useless.
  6. I think that I may have 3 strikes but I'll wait till the results are up from last week's games.
  7. Chevy is still here. The wrong guy left.
  8. I think that was the beginning of the end for those guys....
  9. Montreal has the best OL in the CFL right now & the DL is Top3. Dru Brown looks like any typical young qb just thrown in there. His head is still above water but he's struggling to not sink.
  10. I wonder how Tom McGouran is taking the news? They were money together on Power 97 & then 92 Citi FM in the 80's & 90's. Their Morning Show was hugely popular on both radio stations. They then took their show to Vancouver at Rock 101 CFMI but couldn't duplicate the success they had here. Both came back to Winnipeg. Updike landed at CJOB & McGouran back at 92 Citi FM with a new sidekick Joe Aiello. Later, they did a podcast together statrting in 2014 but I don't know how popular it was or for how long Tom & Larry did it.
  11. Strevler. Last chance for me.
  12. I've seen this twice going back to the 60's. The downside of a veteran football team that suddenly loses more than they won. Dominant for years & then in one off season becoming the door mats in just one season. The first was the end of the Bomber of the Bomber dynasty of the 50's & early 60's. Head Coach Bud Grant knew it was over & moved on to a better opportunity in Minnesota. Took his best assistant coach in Johnny Michaels with him. Left his worse (Joe Zaleski) to take his place as Head Coach. Within a season or two we were lucky to win 3 football games. We were bottom feeders for 4 seasons until Don Jonas got here. The other was a few years later, we lost Mack herron, Jim Thorpe & other players & went from Grey Cup contenders to bottom feeders again even faster. Grey Cup contenders in 1972 & falling to last place with an anchor attached in 1973. Of course, it doesn't mean it'll happen again but the same signs are there. I just hope I'm wrong. When you step off the cliff, the fall is very hard & fast.
  13. We don't pick up other team's cuts even if we know they can help us. I'm absolutely confounded how badly run this team has become.
  14. Imagine criticizing or intimating a player isn't a good teammate because he took the money & left. That's.... just a real cheap shot.
  15. No, Willy wasn't the qb when O'Shea got here. The Bombers signed Willy as a FA that off season so they came in together in 2014. In 2013, the Bomber qbs were Buck Pierce, Justin Goltz, Jason Boltus, Max Hall
  16. What kind of an answer is that? When O'Shea played in Southern Ontario he went back & forth between Hamilton & Toronto. Meaning he always took the best offer when he played.
  17. They're going to have to now considering we have no freaking idea when Augustine will be back.
  18. Does anybody think Johnny Augustine is a guy who can carry the run game as the starter behind Oliveira? I don't. Sure would be nice to know the situation with Brady but as usual there's no info.
  19. Look at Bill Belichek. He's always treated the media & fans like they were **** & the questions they asked never worth his time. His post game pressers were always condescending. Whether the Patriots won or lost, he just came across as this miserable human being. He got away with it when he was winning but when he couldn't win after Brady these gatherings weren't funny anymore. To be a buylly or condescending to the public, a coach or player can only get away with it when they win. When these arrogant coaches lose, they're nothing but a piece of meat who get ground up into a nothing burger as Belichek found out. If O'Shea continues the same schtick, then the same thing will happen to him if he can't right the ship.
  20. Danny Gallivan was the best hockey pbp announcer.. If Don Wittman had he been an American working on a US Network doing pro footabll, college or the Olympics then he'd be mentioned as one of the all time greats. He could do football, hockey & track & field at such a high excellence. To me, no one comes close to these two as far as sports broadcasters go in our country.
  21. Mills had one job. Not fumble. He did & it cost the Stamps the game. That Lions team are a bunch of yappy & arrogant pricks.
  22. Nothing is making that OL look worse. They're doing a really good job of that on their own. I also think that Buck Pierce once thought of as a great young qb coach & OC has gone stale with his playcalling. He's a big part of the overall problem now as well.
  23. I'm not saying the guy can't play qb. All I'm saying was that Streveler struggled as the starter & Collaros was brought in as insurance at the time going into the playoffs in 19. He did have mechanical issues at the time & they were discussed here ad nauseum back in 2018 & 19. Booch & I talked about it quite a bit back then. Now, with 4 years as an NFL qb perhaps his mechanics are better. At least I hope so. Buck Pierce sees him throw everyday so he'd know. Pierce obviously isn't ready to give up on Zach just yet.
