Bomber home games during the week used to start at 8 pm in the 60's, 70's & 80's. Then nearly an hour ride home to Riverview by bus. Up at 7 am to be at Churchill High at 9 the next morning. Years later when I was working full time 8 am. No one seemed to mind. I sure didn't. It was nice to be able to go home for dinner after work & then go to the game not feeling rushed.

They both haven't enjoyed being in the spotlight this series with the criticisms thrown their way. They grossly underestimated the Jets & came into this series with too much overconfidence. Like the saying goes, plans change after you get punched in the nose. And the Jets delivered a haymaker last night. Blood was spilled.

That still may come regarding passports. It would also help to heavily fine & jail any of the people who incite others to ignore masking & vaccinations. Our governments are gutless. I wanted to drive to Montana this weekend to get my second Pfizer shot after reading about the vaccine clinics the Blackfoot Tribe set up for canadians. I called the Montana Blackfoot Nation repeatedly yesterday to get more info & no one answered. So, not going as I don't know if they're still doing it.

I agree with everything you say. I'm a little more optimistic that outbreaks may not be as bad if most people are vaccinated. Hospitals shouldn't be overwhelmed so people may not get as sick. I'm also hopeful that like the Spanish Flu, it will eventually die out. I believe the Spanish Flu is still among us but after a century it has weakened considerably weaker than it was.

I sure don't reminisce about Mack fondly. Who was the Bomber President at the time? He was horrible. That was during the time fans & taxpayers were finding out that the stadium would take an extra year to finish.

That entire season was depressing. Knowing we played at least 3 starting qbs who never would have made the Rifles that year just made it worse.
