  1. Calgary did that with Bo, Bombers did it with Neufeld. All teams do it. That's how teams circumvent the salary cap with injuries. It's always been that way. I can remember teams using the "taxi squad" back in the 70's for that.
  2. Always the guy who protects the qb blind side.
  3. If Durant is worth $200,000 because of his nationality then what is Kian Schaefer-Baker worth? Younger, healthier, way more upside... Riders have a problem.
  4. Letting the Rider fans know he's unhappy & he'll become a free agent Feb 8th. He was my son's teammate as well as his Go To guy at SFU but he hasn't played one season in the CFL where he didn't miss significant time with injuries. He should be coming in at $110-115 thousand & show the Lions he's worth more. That he can play a full 18 game sched & put up a thousand yards. That contract is ridiculous.
  5. In Season 1 they took the Klingons & totally screwed up their look & culture into something I don't know what they became. The reason they did it it was simply because they could. They screwed up so bad that the writers had to take Discovery a thousand years into the future so they couldn't screw up anymore. It's just a lousy series with lousy writing. Hard to follow & understand season long arcs & (I know I'm going to catch heat for this) virtue signalling.
  6. You know I love the guys from yesteryear as they never get their due. I'm one fan who tries to do that but yeah, I have to agree. Stanley Bryant is just that. The GOAT from any era on any CFL team. I defy anyone to prove me wrong.
  7. You have to ask? Same with Massoli. It's not done yet.
  8. That was 1978 & album sales were massive.
  9. I certainly don't get the impression Harris wants to retire. There'd have been media stories already.
  10. I don't like Discovery. It's become the Sonequa Martin-Green Show as her character Michael Burnham is in every scene. The premise of Discovery was supposed to be from a bridge officer who wasn't the Captain. So, what happens? She becomes Captain. Instead of Saru who as Captain would have made for some interesting scenarios. The season long arcs the series uses doesn't work. Especially with a 6 week hiatus. It would be much better if it was an episodic series. More storylines & character development would happen.
  11. When the Riders lose in the playoffs again, Rocky will say that's something he knows we'll really like.
  12. So sorry. My condolences to you & your family.
  13. Love to see Mullinder pissed off. He's thrown a lot of shade on the Bombers the past few years.
  14. Who are you referrring to? From what I read & heard, the Bombers spent close to the floor than the ceiling in 2021 so I'm sure Walters knows what he's doing.
  15. Yep, more Bomber content the better!
  16. You don't have to worry about Massoli as Zach signed this afternoon. I doubt if Streveler is coming back. I'd rather we spend the money we'd have to pay him to sign either Kenney Lawler or Rasheed Bailey. What a day!!!!! First Biggie. Then Zach. Now Geoff Gray! https://www.bluebombers.com/2022/01/17/im-happy-gray-staying-home/
  17. Zach & Biggie in one day!!!
  18. Which tells you one year deals should be eliminated. Most players want to sign for longer. The CFL & CFLPA have to rectify this asap. Work out something in the CBA both sides can live with so players can stay put longer.
  19. Reid coached under Mike Holmgren. He brought that knowledge of the West Coast Offense with him to Philly. I'm not sure if he still runs that offense as Eric Bienemy is the OC in Kansas City.
  20. A wise old sage (not T Burg) said, "Be careful what you wish for as it may come true".
  21. He was a D3 receiver. Never played pro football. Never played qb. His offense is based on his knowledge as a receiver. He isn't a qb coach. Jacques Chapdelaine was the same way. A receiver at SFU & the CFL. Never coached qbs. His offense was geared to what he knew as a receiver. You can ask anyone who played for Jacques at the qb position. It was a complex offense not qb friendly.
  22. Adam Bighill is back & we are so happy.
  23. Not sold on McGuire. I think we can do better.
  24. Philips throwing mechanics worked for him. I doubt others could throw the ball the way he did with the same kind of accuracy. Certainly Strevy's passing mechanics makes him throw wild sometimes & his accuracy is inconsistent. One time he can thread the needle. The next throw he has a pick. His game is run first & pass 2nd. I will stick to my feeling he is a gimmick qb working well with a short playbook suited to his physical attributes as a qb. When Nichols went down in 19, Strev really struggled with the entire playbook. When Zach came in, Streveler's role totally changed to what he's good at. Short yardage, run the ball & throw quick, short passes. I'll give him credit in that he did find some of his receivers open downfield when he played.
