To me, the wrong guy is running for a second term as President. As a Presidential candidate, Mike Pence would probably have garnered more of the undecided Republican voters & more conservative Democratic voters who don't like the direction their party is going rather than the abomination running for President now. The Republicans had a chance to dump Trump but now for them it's too late.

We didn't even have T hanksgiving Day games last year. I remember the outcry from fans,

Bill O'Brien fired by the Texans which was long overdue. They apparently have the highest payroll in the NFL & getting the least in performance from their players. Especially Deshaun Watson who is the second highest paid qb in the NFL only behind Patrick Mahomes. He signed a 4 year $111 million dollar contract of which $74 million is guaranteed. Just crazy money for a kid who has never won anything in the NFL. The Texans are 0-4 & going nowhere. Former Cleveland Browns HC & longtime NFL assistant Romeo Crennell takes over as Interim HC. Not much of an improvement there from O'Brien. Therer's a big mess to be cleaned up in Houston.

Which is why a segment of Canadians are resistant to rules like masks or non compliant. Thye mixed messaging by government everywhere in this country. Canadians don't trust what they are being told.

Mark, do you realize that if we don't change the way we're doing things that in a year from now there is a good chance that high percentage of airlines will be out of business? Transportation & tourism will be devastated. It'll be the same in other industries across the board & that we'll be in a full blown depression similar to or worse than the Great Depression of the 1930's. These quarantine measures just can't continue the way they are now for any economic recovery. The job losses worldwide will be staggering. Temporarily yes, they were necessary but as time goes on they will become unsustainable. We have to rely on science to help with the changes. The way Covid 19 is treated in hospital from March until today has changed because we know more about the virus than we did then. Mortality rates appeared to have dropped. Less people in hospital & ICU. When tens of millions around the world are suffering because they are unemployed, is it any worse than getting sick with Covid? No jobs, wars, mental anguish, homelessness, marriages & the family unit breaks down, increased violent crime. suicide & poverty. I don't know if being sick with the virus will ultimately be worse. We will have to open up totally at some point & that includes borders for travel even if the virus is present.

I agree. Just curious, what do you think about airports doing rapid testing? If a passenger arriving off an international flight into Canada tests negative after a rapid Covid test should they be good to go without having to quarantine? I think they should

One of my favourite players in another era was Stampeders QB Peter Liske. I believe he threw for over 4,000 yards each in 1967 & 68. He could really sling it. Went on to play in Philadelphia during the 69 season & later Denver of the NFL before returning to the Stamps in 1973.

Players & coaches have to take it seriously. Coaches like Jon Gruden pulling their masks down constantly or Andy Reid using a face shield without a mask has to stop. Are players finding ways to sneak into bars after hours? Until everyone buys into the protocols this won't stop.

Most people on social media will say that they pray for Trump to recover. We know that a lot of these same people saying that really hopes he gets seriously ill or dies. Personally myself, I hope he does recover so he knows that this virus isn't fake or a hoax. Maybe he'll decide to take Covid more seriously as far as trying to eradicate it in the US. Somehow, I doubt it but we can hope.

Thursday Night football for the most part are terrible games. I gave this game a pass.

Our family hasn't cancelled Xmas as it's kind of early to do that. We have no idea what things will be like in 3 months. The Xmas dinner & celebrations we have eill be pretty low key. Just my myself, wife, son & daughter in law. Being a school bus driver I'm on the firing line with the kids I drive. I have to drive 60 kids to school everyday on 2 separate runs. I have to wear a mask & face shield with my students. If I catch Covid it'll be from my job & not from my family giving it to me. I don't have the fear I used to have about the virus as I am possibly exposed to it everyday. My son's 34th birthday is Sunday & they're coming over for dinner tomorrow. They'll also be here next weekend for Thanksgiving.

Today I heard that Sweden is going to allow visitors into senior care homes unmasked starting in a few days. When I heard that on the car radio coming home from work this evening, I just gasped. These poor seniors are trapped in these care centres & heartless health officials allow that? Why not just pass around a handgun & play Russian Roulette with these poor seniors? One bullet in the chamber.

I think he knows he's going to lose so in his own mind he feels he'll just go out with a blaze of glory.

The Swedes are convinced that they have this virus licked. Pretty cocky to be sure.
