  1. He had an angel on his shoulder that day.
  2. The Good Year Blimp has asked for equal time.
  3. I have to say I didn't care much for Julia Louis Dreyfuss. Her Trump jokes weren't funny & she looked amateurish compared to the other 3 female hosts during the DNC. She made it about herself.
  4. Six of the 12 speakers are Trump family members. That is just too funny.
  5. No. He is just saying that he wants if it becomes available.
  6. I can't stand him... Just the thought of Black calling a game gives me the runs.
  7. The CFL is incapable of even thinking about things like that. No surprise.
  8. I actually have a My Pillow & it works. I do get a better sleep but what the guy is proposing for Covid 19 is nuts. Stick to sleep remedies, asshat. I plan on buying some Good Year winter tires in November.
  9. Kopp is lucky to be alive to celebrate his birthday today... Didn't he roll his truck on the Trans Canada somewhere near Golden, BC.
  10. Has anyone heard how Scheifle is?
  11. Did my heart good to see the Flames knocked out & Tkachuk suffering in the press box while going crazy. Seven straight goals against them. The only way they could beat the Jets was by taking out our best players which is what they did. They deserve all the bad karma they can get.
  12. Having family down there concerns me greatly. I don't want my son's family wiped out by some alt right group with guns or a bomb when they go shopping in a mall in Auburn, Washington. Or when he goes to renew his drivers license in a state building.
  13. I remember the federal building in Oklahoma City being blown up in 1995 by some alt right wingnuts with disastrous loss of life. The US doesn't need that just to prosecute one man. Trump would love it. I detest Trump along with the rest of you but is his conviction worth innocent people losing their lives? And there would be loss of life.
  14. Trump's time may be coming but there's no guarantee. His imprisonment might start a civil war. At the very least domestic terrorism, I fear. To keep order in the USA & Americans safe, Biden may have to do what Ford did to Nixon & commute any convictions.
  15. I had this poster when it came out in 1970 from CFL properties. Had it in my room for years. When it came time to take it down the edges ripped & I ended up throwing it away. I recently bought another from a fan selling his on CFL Collectibles which is a facebook memorabilia page. The poster was pretty beat up & showed its age of 50 years so I had it made into an acrylic print. Cost me $270 but all the wrinkles & tears as well as tape glue on the sides were scanned away & I got a beautiful rendition back that is better than the original. The bonus is that I have the original inside a container stored away in a safe place at home here. This is acrylic print is proudly displayed in my rec room. It means more to me now with the CFL season cancelled & all this uncertainty with the league coming back than it did when I was a teenage fan. Not knowing very much about the history of the league half a century ago. Acrylic prints while very bright do reflect the light. I should have taken this standing just a little bit to the right or left as you can see the light reflecting in the photograph. It still is outstanding & I'm glad I paid the big bucks to get it done as it's a collector's item. The funny part is my son is a big CFL fan living in Seattle. He was born in Calgary & loves the Stamps but I told him this will be his someday as I want it kept in the family. He knows how important it is to me.
  16. When was this? Living in Calgary we don't get news like this.
  17. That is so ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-d!
  18. My son & daughter in law live in Seattle. haven't seen them since last Xmas. Even if the borders were opened, I'd still not go.
  19. I was at that game. I remember the Flame just sitting there all day like a NASA rocket whose mission was scrubbed.
  20. My fondest memory is going to my first game with my friend in 1969 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. I was 14. Going into this game, the Riders were 4-0 & we were 1-3 & on our way to a miserable 3 win season that year while the Riders were going to the Grey Cup. We bought two Salisbury House tickets for the bleachers in the South End zone for 50 cents each. This game marked the debut of former Argos starting qb Wally Gabler who we picked up for my favourite player at the time, halfback Dave Raimey. I was crushed when he was traded to the Argos but The Knife had publicly blasted HC Joe Zaleski & GM Earl Lunsford saying he wanted out because he thought the team was not committed to winning while demanding he be traded to a contender. The Bombers had finished last in the West every season since 1967 & he was tired of losing. Lunsford didn't take kindly to players going to the media criticizing him & demanding a trade so he was dispatched quickly to Toronto for Gabler. This was back in an era where the CFL was the only game in town as the NHL only had Canadian teams in Toronto & Montreal. There were no Blue Jays or Raptors. The Expos were brand new in 1969 but hadn't caught on yet with Canadians. So, this trade was a blockbuster. Headline news in every newspaper or sportscast across the country. In essence, the Bombers gave up one of the top running backs in the league for a benched former starting qb who was backing up an unknown Tom Wilkinson in Toronto. But the Bombers were desperate to find an experienced qb who had success as a starter in the league. They were prepared to give up their only superstar to get Gabler. The Bombers had cut John Schneider & their only backup at the time Rick Cassata didn't have the experience to start so they were hurting at that position. Interestingly enough, the Bombers cut Cassata that year. He ended up with the Ottawa Rough Riders & was the Grey Cup winning qb for them in 1973. With only a few practices under his belt, Gabler went out & beat the Riders 16-14 at Winnipeg Stadium. August 27, 1969.... The day I became a Blue Bomber fan forever.
  21. Jets can use the old logos for special occasions but not if they wanted to full time. Our true history belongs to Arizona. We are not free to use it any way we want.
  22. Yes you can. You can fly.
  23. That is both irresponsible & stupid.
  24. The sad part is it will be Arizona that retires his number & not us. A city he never played for & the fans could care less about. Which is why the history of the Jets should belong to us. Not Arizona. Their history started in 1996. Mark Chipman needs to work out a deal with the NHL to give us all of our history back, including the old colours & logos.
