2019-20 Grey Cup Champs Off-season discussion.

Makes you wonder how someone like Suitor with years of experience in the booth could have been so stupid. -
Hell, I can relate to that. New knee & all for me. Thankfully, the pain is now gone BUT I STILL MOVE SLOW. Lol! Apparently, some days it's so bad Tom Selleck needs a stunt double to show Frank Reagan getting out of his limo. Selleck is a pro. he's never missed a day of shooting.
-
It was renewed May 6th.

Looks like the only reason CBS hasn't renewed Blue Bloods is because Tom Selleck wants a 2 year deal & not just one. Both sides are in contract negotiations.

Well, good for Colby & Rebecca.

Way more arrogant which is why it was soooo sweet to watch the Cats crash down to Earth. The Grey Cup game was a slugfest. With the Bombers doing the slugging & the Ticats getting the festing. The Cats turtled. They cowered. They gave up. Especially Dane Evans their hot shot rookie qb who should have been taken aside by Steinhauer, told to grow a set & be a leader. He was throwing temper tantrums & hissy fits all game long. He didn't like the treatment the Bomber defense gave him. Evans may indeed become a great CFL qb but on that day he was just a scared little rookie with a bloody nose. The Bombers were like the bully in junior high who would sit beside some poor kid, punch his arm, tell the kid he'd die if he told the teacher & then kept hitting him over & over while the kid cowered in pain silently. Evans never once fought back or rallied the troops on the sidelines like Matt Dunigan or Mike Reilly would have. Midway through the 3rd quarter, it was over. After they lost Brandon Banks, the Cats weren't coming back. I loved every freaking moment of the beat down. -
Ambrosie gets fingered because he's the Man In Charge. The face & the boss of the CFL. It's certainly not the Board Of Governors. Most of us don't even know who they are.

Not approaching the players before speaking to that committee was inexcusable. They needed to be a united front but instead we found out the players didn't even know he was going to appear.

Well, if you can't get your car in & out of the driveway that is a big problem. But those homes on Jubilee have backlanes & garages so...

There goes another Winnipeg institution. How can they survive? So sad & frustrating.

Anyone watch the last scene of the HBO mini series, The Plot Against America? Voting machines removed on Election Day during the Presidential vote because they were "broken" said one thug to a voter who asked what was going on. Thousands of voter ballot boxes stolen stuffed with votes burned. Voter numbers rigged for certain candidates to win & others to lose.

Trump sure is the Teflon Don. Everyone around him is getting sick but him.

Just can't see how Republicans can win in November.

No one said they should work if there's an outbreak. AHS would close it down.

As long as it doesn't turn out to be just Victoria Avenue & Albert Street in Regina.

Yeah, agree there. He should get a refund on his degrees.

I know. If it was today Manning wouldn't even make it. Someone would complain & the NFL would have to apologize. Same with Manning ya da ya da ya da. Look what happened in Lethbridge with that waitress in a Star War's Storm Trooper's costume with a toy gun. People called the cops, Lethbridge police took her down & now they have to be investigated. She was promoting a restaurant. On May 4th. (May the Fourth be with you)…. Too many unhappy people in the world.

How many snowflakes would be offended if this video came out today?

So, they can't afford a lawsuit but can afford to run a team for a year or more???
-
It was a bad look for a guy who makes his living as a so called CFL Insider. Do I think any less of him? No. But he should have known better.

There is an outbreak at the main Canada Post facility in downtown Calgary. Six employees have tested positive for Covid 19. How long until CUPE wants it shut down which would mean mail disruption across the country. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/canada-post-main-calgary-covid-outbreak-1.5562431

This is the broken business model I've been talking about that some posters were bitching at me for daring to talk about it yesterday. Some teams can do well trying to live within their means while others just blow through money like a hot knife thru butter. Usually it's irresponsible owners who act like it's High Noon at the OK Corral when it comes to owning a CFL team & spending $$$. Then they are just allowed to walk away whenever they want which I've never understood. These bad owners have turned off their team's fanbase over the years in Toronto, Vancouver & Montreal. Every bad owner who walks away from their team debts should be sued by the CFL. Why aren't they?

Too late.

Roy Horn had been in failing health for years ever since he was injured by one of his Big Cats. The story said he suffered a stroke onstage with the Tiger the night he was attacked. I'm sure Covid 19 just hastened the process. He would have been in the high risk category.
