  1. Most PPE's are going to front line health care workers. There's a shortage from my experience.
  2. Thought you said he didn't get a fair chance here? Now you're saying he wanted to go back home.? So again, it was his decision derailing his career. Are you posting on Lionbackers saying he didn't get a fair chance with the Lions as well?
  3. He did get a chance. He failed to take advantage of it so end of story. He got all kinds of chances wherever he went. Are we going to get Jade Etienne's family here as well saying he didn't get chances either?
  4. He's been cut by the Bengals, the Bombers & the Lions. How can you say he hasn't had any real opportunities? One NFL & 2 CFL teams gave him opportunities. He had an opportunity with the Dinos but blew that when he was ruled academically ineligible to play for the Dinos. That would definitely raise a red flag by any pro team. If a player isn't disciplined to put in the time to study in university then how can he be expected to be disciplined to learn the intricacies of an NFL or CFL playbook? After dropping out of university he failed a drug test & tested positive for a banned substance when he was at the Bengals training camp. Then his CFL draft year deferred to 2018 from 2017 because of it. In a real head scratcher, after being cut by the Bengals he went to play junior ball with the Okanagan Sun. How would playing against mostly kids a year or two out of high school make him a better player after going to an NFL camp? Why not sign with an Arena League team or stay in the US to train & get better?? Still he got drafted by the Bombers even though he never dominated as a junior player with the Sun. The he was cut by the Bombers after 2 seasons here & last season with the Lions. To me, all this falls on the player & not the teams who cut him. Simonise decided himself to take the long & hard road to the pros. It didn't have to be that way so it was his decision. He was given chances. In some cases more than one. It' was up to Simonise to take advantage of what was given him. Looks like he didn't. Bad decisions played a part. Maybe the reality is he wasn't good enough.
  5. Flames have Calgary Sports & Entertainment Corporation is owned by a multi billionaire Murray Edwards. Similar to MLSE they own the Flames, Hitmen, Stamps & Roughnecks. They'll be okay. I worry about the Lions & Als. New owners who never banked on a pandemic when he bought the team.
  6. That would be a 14 hour drive for me... 😉
  7. Allen won 3 Grey Cups with 3 different teams. He threw for over 72,000 yards, was the GC MVP in all 3 wins plus he won the CFL's MOP Award in 2005. How does an overrated qb do that?

  9. You realize you have to be pretty old to get that joke. The Millennials here are going, "WTF is he talking about?" Lol.
  10. So, I don't know how governments expect people to wear masks on planes, at the airport, transit buses or trains. Or where people have a tendency to have problems social distancing. When hoarding is going on. We've all seen people wearing masks & I thought okay I'll buy some & start wearing it in public but sure, right... None to be had in Calgary at the places I called.
  11. Try finding a mask anywhere. Everyone is sold out & can't say when the next shipment will arrive.
  12. Without having to search for it, what did you say?
  13. Amazing that we're here debating democracy vs an autocracy.
  14. Liberals didn't win the last election. They just got more seats in a minority government which means Trudeau doesn't have the political right or moral authority to decree a ban on guns unilaterally. Debate it in the H of C in the form of a Bill & pass it using the same democratic tools always used. That would be to pass First, Second & Third readings in the House by convincing the other parties to support the bill as we are in a minority. Then send it to the Senate for approval & finally Royal Assent by the Governor General. Otherwise, what's the point? I'm not debating the merits of the ban. Just how it was done It's wrong.
  15. Since Sweden was mentioned today, sadly it looks like the chickens have come home to roost. Click on the link below: https://nypost.com/2020/04/28/sweden-records-deadliest-week-of-century-after-resisting-lockdowns/?fbclid=IwAR3a_sHOq5fk8r5V8id0n3R9Bl5NaY1exHpDXR8U2P1N5BvGjqWIMO8D_Io
  16. I think it's pretty clear what he wants to do.
  17. Bad guys will always have guns. Good people? Defenseless. Hunters & farmers are the bane of Canada.
  18. He wants to ban all guns so the definition doesn't matter.
  19. I don't trust Trudeau as far as I can throw a 45 kg rock.
  20. When democratic governments start taking shortcuts like this without any debate then we're in big trouble. What if Trudeau decrees that all vaccines are mandatory? Or that general elections are suspended because of the virus? Once the Genie is out of the bottle it is a dangerous precedent. Allow debate in the HOC. What does it do? Slow the process by a few days or a week??
  21. When trying to become great again really means you are truly stupid. #greatpeople
  22. Gawd, not Sweden again. That is so April 2020 here.
  23. I have no problems banning assault weapons. The problem I have was this was done like a royal decree with no debate in the House Of Commons. It was just done unilaterally by the Liberals. They are a minority government but are using the Corona virus to rule like a majority. Yes, the banning is no doubt popular by urban voters but it should have been introduced as government bill, debated upon, passed through 3rd reading & then gone to the Senate for Royal Assent. What happens next if Trudeau announces something that will affect our freedoms unilaterally? Like I said, no problem with the banning but do it democratically in the HOC. He is not a king even though he thinks he is.
  24. How long might it take for researchers find a vaccine for Covid 19? How does 15 years sound to you? It took 28 years to find a vaccine for smallpox. And we've never found a vaccine in the past for any Covid virus. Or we may get lucky & find one in 18 months. Scientists are skeptical. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/04/30/opinion/coronavirus-covid-vaccine.html?utm_source=pocket-newtab
  25. For sure. I'll physical distance. I had a repair guy in my house on Friday as our dishwasher was on the fritz & I wanted to avoid him as much as I could. I didn't want a stranger in my house but what can I do? Live in fear & do without kitchen appliances scared to call someone when they break one by one? That's just being paranoid. It needed to be fixed so I got it fixed. I felt he got a little too close when I had to pay him by credit card as he suddenly walked over & was about a foot away from me which I didn't like. I disinfected the sink & counter top where the dishwasher is where he worked after he left. Other than making trips to the store or go for a walk, I don't go out at all but like I said if I have to go out then I'll go out & respect physical distancing. I don't consider myself reckless & I respect others space. As a responsible person that is about all I can do. Thing is, no matter what we do. No matter the precautions, it still won't be enough as we can't see the virus. I don't want to get Covid but that's why I think it's inevitable that I'll get it somewhere from someone.
