  1. Man, that was too much like actual work. 😉
  2. Well, just an update on my EI claim from yesterday. It took me an hour & a half of redialing, getting thru, dropped calls after doing so or being told ton call back as they were unable to take my call I actually got into the queue. According to my phone I called back 126 times before getting through. After a 6 hour wait on hold & constantly fretting that my call would be dropped but wasn't I spoke to an actual person who took care of my mistake from yesterday. My claim has been reactivated & I can now do my EI reports. I'm not complaining. I'm just relieved it's all taken care of.
  3. I just need to talk to someone to resolve this. It wouldn't take more than a few minutes.
  4. It wasn't busy. It was a drop. It beeped after about a minute of silence & then a message said call failed.
  5. My federal application just fell into a black hole. Partly because of my own stupidity & partly because the phone line to EI has crashed. I'm a school bus driver & was laid off officially on March 31st even though my last day was March 13th as schools were closed in Alberta as of March 16th. I was on a Medical EI last year as I had my knee replacement during the summer & was switched over to regular EI claim when I went back to work in November. I still have about 6 weeks left on my regular claim that is still open until June 30th. I wasn't sure what to claim, the rest of my EI benefits or the CERB? Very early this morning, I went to Service Canada webpage & was sent to another where I answered some questions online. I was put onto the EI page & began to answer even more questions. halfway thru I began to realize that they wee asking me questions for what looked like a new claim but I figured I would keep going as that is what it wanted me to do. When I finished I was informed my claim was done successfully but there'd be a one week waiting period when all I wanted to do was REACTIVATE my present claim. I realized that I didn't reactivate my claim like I wanted. So, now in the system I have two claims going simultaneously. Usually when I want to reactivate my EI claim during Xmas, I call the 1-800-206-7218 number & they do it over the phone in 2 minutes. I thought doing it online would be easier but nope. This morning & all day long I called that number to try to straighten everything out. At one point over & over 32 times in a row & I was told the call failed every time. So, now I have 2 claims simultaneously going. No way to call & I can't go down to an EI Office to get this thing sorted out. What a mess. There is no instructions online for people who still have active claims but went back to work. All I can do now is keep trying. But if I don't have this resolved by the end of the week because I can't call, I'm going to get my MP office involved as there's nothing else I can do.
  6. So, they start the season in August & on the first weekend they have a hundred thousand CFL fans attending 4 games. The virus is still present but in numbers the government feels safe enough to allow large gatherings like a CFL game. Out of that just 1% come to the games asymptomatic. They don't know they're sick. A thousand people at the 4 games start infecting people around or near them. Then start talking NHL & NBA playoffs, MLB & MLS & everything else going on with life getting back to normal out in public. Borders open up, air & vehicular travel starts again. Things will get shut down fast after new infections occur & then we're back to where we started. This is why I agree with JCon. We need a vaccine before sports can start up again. How many people are actually going to go to a sporting event with tens of thousands of people packed in all around them if there is no vaccine knowing the presence of the virus is probably around them? Run the risk of infecting others, getting sick & infecting loved ones? I would say most people would be afraid to go. That's why going out in public is nerve wracking right now. Going grocery shopping feels creepy. Using a machine at the till at the cashier or ATM machine raises questions of how we could get infected. Or when you bring groceries home we are told that the virus can live 3 days on plastic or hard surfaces. So then, are we infecting our homes if we don't wipe down doorknobs, keys, smartphones, countertops, etc. even in 4 months? How about the steering wheel on our personal vehicles? Now we should think about going to football games with 30,000 other fans in August? I just can't see how that is going to be possible. I'm not being negative but pragmatic & honest. It just is what it is.
  7. I think it's disgusting, actually. He has an infant child. That's when partisan politics is just sad.
  8. On social media there are Brits who want Johnson to die.
  9. In the series he becomes President.
  10. Damn the world supply chains. We have to be more self sufficient. We have to manufacture more in Canada relying less on the whims of other country's politics.
  11. I've watched two episodes. Taking awhile to get wound up but they go into the fear Jewish Americans had of Charles Lindbergh. I seem to remember he was a Nazi sympathizer in real life.
  12. To me, there wasn't much development & what there was seemed rushed. I don't think Picard was that bad actually.
  13. Strange how I love him.
  14. There is the common complaint: Ten episodes with too much story to tell. Character development at a minimum. Other than Picard, we know little, if nothing about each character or really why they are there in the first place. I've always maintained a 22 episode season allows a lot more freedom to tell a story. And to slow down the pace or speed it up as required. Also, not a fan of one storyline the entire series. So now, the storyline next season will be an 82 year old Commander with a neurotic Captain who wishes Picard was his father. The crew is a former Borg with trust issues who killed without regrets but suddenly may have a few now. A drug addicted & alcoholic second officer/pilot, an unstable assistant who killed her mentor & a Romulan Samurai who has no idea why he's there & neither does the audience. And off into the universe they go. Are they know the 23rd century's version of Robin Hood & his band of Merry Men (& Women)?
  15. This man would have found the answer to the question.
  16. Who cares, right? Cena has become what he criticized The Rock for years ago. Gone Hollywood. Turned his back on the fans. Says he'll never leave but does. I don't begrudge the guy the life & career he has but it looks pretty comical now. You & I have talked about Bray Wyatt before. You know I'm not a fan of his at all because what he does is all so contrived & predictable. I'm sure once his Evil Clown routine runs its course, there's always the Evil Ghost Hunter or Evil Casper The Ghost. .
  17. It was the dumbest thing I've seen in wrestling for a long time.
  18. Dr. Doolittle says hi.
  19. Nah, the virus will be over & done with in 3 weeks. C'mon get with the program. Dr Floyd says so.
  20. Like I said, it's great to see the real you. You're on a real roll tonite with just about everybody.
  21. You're a real piece of work. Glad others here get to see it.
  22. I'm not. But close. Just remember you could be diagnosed with something sinister next week & your life changes for the bad regardless of your age. Young men & women who thought they were more invincible than you had their lives changed by a visit to their doctor. Moms & Dads with young families. Or parents of little kids having to watch them be sick or worse. My wife sees it everyday at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary. Adults in their 20's, 30's & 40's taken years before they should have been. So, this worthless old age stuff you keep spouting as some kind of Red Badge Of Courage for you because you're still young means nothing. It just means I made it further in life than you have.
  23. Are you off your meds? WTF does that mean? You sound more & more like an idiot with every post.
  24. Hopefully, Vince may be noticing that if you just wrestle even in an empty arena that people will watch. No one tunes in Raw to watch a match from a PPV 2 months ago. AEW has it right, put some wrestlers around the ring to pretend to be cheerleaders & that helps.
  25. Guess you have no grandparents, parents, uncles or aunts? Of course, you don't seem to care about people that have immunosuppressed systems like cancer patients or little kids. Anyone that talk trash like you will get sick or old one day then your day will come.
