    Spring football just doesn't cut it. Too many things going on especially when the weather warms up & the snow goes away. People have been cooped up for months in the northern states & want to get out to hit the golf course, do yard work, go to the cottage, get physically active, play tennis, softball & do some fishing. MLB, Stanley Cup & NBA playoffs start in another 2months. Football especially crap football, loses it's curiosity fast. All that Americans know is that every spring league has failed including the original XFL 2 decades ago, so why would the new XFL be any different?

    I guess but I think players also appreciate a big crowd cheering them on Game Days. And while players don't like living in a fish bowl, I think also at times they like getting just a little bit of recognition as professionals. They won't get that in Toronto.

    It did stand for Xtreme back in the first incarnation. That's when the WWE was involved in the league thru cross promotion. Not involved this time. I believe the shareholders won't allow McMahon to do that.

    Either the fans in DC are totally football starved being Redskin supporters or they papered the stadium to make sure it was full for the XFL's first ever tv game. There's no way interest is that high all on its own. We'll see what happens in Week 2. attendance wise.

    He won't be just an NFL qb. He'll be both a receiver & a RB. He may run RPO in a package as a qb but that's it.

    Willie is the best DL in the CFL but there are some good ones out there. J'Gared Davis is a CFL all star & would do a great job rushing the passer & stopping the run. He's not flamboyant but he's gritty & works hard. He never takes a play off. For me, that would be a great replacement.

    The only thing to understand is money talks & bullshit walks. No player will turn down $40 grand in the CFL. If the Argos offer Jefferson $290,000 he's gone & more power to him.

    How can Walters do that? So, the Bombers offer Jefferson $40,000 less which is "reasonable". The Argos offer him $40,000 more which is "unreasonable". Jefferson takes the unreasonable Argo offer. Is Walters supposed to yell. "Hey, wait a minute, we made you a reasonable offer. Now, you have to play for us so you can't leave!!" Like, what does that kind of logic even mean????
