I'd say with Nichols release & the money that went with it that the Bombers now have a lot of flexibility regarding the salary cap when it comes to CFL free agents.

We just freed up about $450,000 with Nichols release so I don't know if we have to wait on Jefferson. OTOH, if the Als or any other team was to put in a higher offer for him, we can have some flexibility to match or move on.

Guys like Pipkin can have long careers basically holding a clipboard while throwing less than 20 passes a year.

Pipkin looked terrible every time he played. I sure as hell wouldn't want him here. Remember the fumble on the last series on the goalline in BC resulting in an Als loss. He had one job & couldn't do it.

Why?

They had lost Terry Williams & Kadeem Carey but even when they were both healthy they couldn't consistently run the ball effectively. Their line just isn't physical enough in my opinion to do anything close to what the Bombers did rushing last season. Not even remotely close. The most misunderstood part of OL play isn't pass pro. It's any part of the run or passing game a line can't do well.

I don't think Mayfield is ruined per se as the Browns are a better team than the Bengals but Kitchens never should have been hired as HC. They had Greg Williams & let him get away.

On an NFL aside, the same thing may happen to Joe Burrow when the Bengals draft him. He may be ruined in a year or two.

What difference does that make? Run game is a team effort. Not one guy. If there's no hole then there's little or no gain.

Yeah cuz you know why. Nothing to write home about. The Stamps running game scared no one last season (last in the CFL) & the majority of that is on a shitty run blocking offensive line.

Elliott had the inate ability to blow it up one game & get blown up the next. That takes a unique talent to throw 4 touchdowns one game & 4 picks the next.

What are your thoughts about Edge's comeback? The way the feud with randy Orton was set up & is Edge at risk of further injury. Ziggler none too happy the spear he took from Edge in RR wasn't shown.

He started the turnaround when he first started in 2016. Continued on to last season. He was 7-2 before he was injured. I hope his success continues elsewhere. Thank you, Matty.

That OL isn't as good as the Stamps think it is. Shane Bergman suffers from vertigo & when it strikes can miss a bunch of games. Brad Erdos also has injury problems & missed most of last season. Kasitati aaat RT is a pylon & the worst OL on the team. They re-signed Kasistati & are letting Dennis go.

Gotta love the Bomber fanbase. Some fans are upset for signing Zach Collaros for so much money. The guy who won us a Grey Cup for the 1st time in 29 years. They wanted to see him to go to free agency to see what other teams would pay which is laughable as then he'd sign elsewhere. The same people bitching & whining about Collaros would be the same ones complaining if we let him go & signed Nichols. There's just no pleasing these people & quite frankly that side of the fanbase that constantly complain no matter what they did are a joke.
